Gayle from BERNINA of Naperville gives you a quick guide through removing your BERNINA Hook, oiling, and changing a needle on your BERNINA 4, 5 and 7 Series model BERNINA machines.
Thank you for this thorough demonstration about caring for a Bernina. I am a new owner who is rather intimidated still about using the machine because it is so beautiful and a major new investment for me as a retiree. Keep those videos coming. Your honesty is inspiring for someone still on that early learning curve.
Because of this video, I am a New Subscriber! YAY! I have a "new to me" Bernina B570 and I LOVE it, but I really didn't know how to clean it out or where to oil it. I bought an oil pen at a Bernina shop and thanks to this video, I now know how to oil it. I love my Bernina! It's easily the nicest sewing machine I have ever owned, and I've owned quite a few! Thank you so much for this great tutorial.
Gayle thanks for detailed information. I am a visual learner and love to watch your videos. Along with regular cleaning and oiling I am a strong advocate for what I call my “B’s” spa day. I am adamant about my yearly drop off. Keeps her running and purring beautifully ♥️
Hi from France Gayle 😀 I love your videos and your smile and I've learned a lot with you 😁; I have a question : when is it better to clean the machine, at the end of a sewing day or before the beginning of a sewing day ? I've heard that we have to oil EVERY DAY (if we use the machine of course), is that true ? thank you
@@BERNINAofNaperville Thanks Gayle 😀What do you mean by "not oil from the top" ? because I've just purchased a 790+, my first Bernina (I'll got it on wednesday) and I don't want to make any mistake...
@@BERNINAofNaperville ah ok ! thanks Gayle :) you're right, I saw a man who did that in his youtube video ; many thanks to avoid us making big mistakes !
Hi Tita, That machine is over 20 years old and unfortunately I do not believe you will find anything on that machine that is a tutorial. Most of the things I found are stores demoing them to show them embroidering: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-laYVXU972yE.html You can get a manual here:, it's for the deco 500 but they are similar enough: www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-US/Out-of-Print-Manuals/bernette-manuals/Bernette-Stand-Alone-Embroidery-Manuals
@@BERNINAofNaperville thank you for your timely reply. I realized my dilemma when I saw the screws holding in the frame of the hook. I followed the instructions in my manual and oiled it as specified. Thanks for the video. I did get a lot out of your cleaning procedure. 😊👍
