Ok We're LOST! (Can-Am Renegade & Outlanders)

Decided to go for a "last minute decision" ride with the boys on the Can-Am Renegade Xmr 1000r & Outlander Xmr 850's. We hit some skeg, deep water and end up getting lost on an unfamiliar trail, beyond the point of no return with fuel. Almost had to turn a ride into a bushcraft scenario, Lol. I'm building up another Kawi Brute to play in the Keg up here in Northern Alberta.. But I'd love to come crawl my Honda's out there with you guys. Hahah My buddies get so chapped when I crawl my old ass Honda by them... But they also laugh the time it takes me to make miles on hard ground 😂 Keep up the great videos man... You guys are the sole reason I'm getting another V-twin to tear some parts up

I've been lost in the woods like that and in a swamp both at night. The lost in the woods at night is bad but nowhere near as bad as the swamp at night especially when you are in the south and it's summer time with Alligators are up and very active

@@NOSAtvs Since i just bought a brand new Outlander xtp 1000R because of your videos, i was wondering if you could answer a quick question, i got the OEM snorkel, OEM rad relocate and cryptid tires to make it like an XMR, but do I need to buy a skid plate set as well, little disappointed about the pieces of paper that are on there...Thanks.

ah man been there before! 2.5 hours the wrong way from camp last November, rain, ice pellets, snow and cold in mattawa everyone used all extra gas we had and finally found main trail and made it back to camp at midnight with zero bars on gas everyone's gas gauge. there comes a point where it's not fun anymore hahaha

Try out Locus maps man. Its cheap and once you download the area you want, you can track your entire ride and you don't need cell service for it to work, just operates off your phone's internal GPS. Nice to see some technical trail riding . Cheers!

I’m mainly a southern rider so no skeg. But just from riding through the pasture everything get gunked up with grass. It must be a real pain to clean all the crevices after skeg riding.

Hey little advice if you guys don't want to get lost when you're out riding bring some green or orange surveyor and tape and mark the trees as you go through the trails that way you know how to get your ass back

Agreed. Issue was we knew the way back but didn't have enough fuel to do it. The main road was closer, just didn't know which trail led to it. Thanks for watching

I have a 2019 xt-p 1000r, do you see any harm in removing the right side lower body panel? I see some of your machines have it removed. Do you leave the left side o for heat protection?

Not off hand. I think they are decently priced new. Might be the best bet so you don't get something wore out or in need of replacement parts.

If you want an xmr model in the short frame only the Renegade offers 1000cc. The Outlader 1000 xmr was only available in the long (2 up) frame.
