I was so shocked like... english is not my first language so i replayed the 1984 part several times and was like.. Im sorry what, noo way, she cant be 36, there is no way.
At the age of 75, I can say with complete honesty that had there been RU-vid, Facebook, Instagram, etc. when I was growing up that provided a platform for women like you to share their experiences, my life would have been completely different. It's been a good life, but I know that had I been less fearful, it could have been a great one. Thank you so very, very much for being an inspiration to thousands of young women to follow there hearts and to live fearlessly and most importantly to never settle for how others believe they should live. Bless you, Hannah. :-)
Yeah you’re so fortunate to have access and the knowledge to use a computer and do whatever your little heart desires and I’m very proud of you I am 72 years old my name is Evelyn I live inErie PA I just have so much admiration for you and so much respect I am amazed what you can do
@@evelyntenney8557 Hello❤. I know this is random but oh well... John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
When I was young...maybe 5th grade, I was such an introvert. And, so shy. A teacher told me that I was just going to have to not worry about looking stupid and to just be myself. Changed my life.
In all of my near 54 years I've never come across another 'Sara Ann' (omitting the 'D' counts as Ann in my book). You spell your name perfectly. Why my parents chose, in my mind at least, the proper way to spell our first and middle names is because they couldn't afford an 'h' or an 'e' on my birth certificate. Har har.
@@mena5090 You can do amazing things with your life never having declared it a goal or determined it and called it such. Goals are a type and plenty of us still do amazing things all of it internalised and Noone's business. Beautifully peacefully so.
Exactly, I really cringe when people ask so many questions over and over... that first of all have been answered by her before. And second, she is allowed to change her mind, multiple times, if she wants to. And third... who cares where she goes to the bathroom and such things? I honestly just enjoyed hearing parts of this video, not because Hannah didn't do a good job, but because of all the annoying questions that are being asked a million times.
@@pam9485 I've lived in Winnipeg, Canada. It's one of the coldest cities in the world. Running water will not freeze. One year, the deepfreeze was so bad, the water company called us and told us to leave one tap in the house running lightly. We had to let that tap run for several months! Luckily it worked and no frozen pipes. Or are you criticizing the idea of using pool noodles for insulation? Because I don't know anything about that.
I lived I. Fairbanks Alaska and we did the same, just let them trickle, wrap towels around the pipes and leave cabinet doors open. But if she has no heat at all, that may not work
I also live in Northern Minnesota where we regularly see 40 below temps and 60 below with windchill. I leave a faucet cracked to a slow steady stream and (knock on wood) have not had my pipes freeze in my 50 years. Wood burning stove only in the cabin, heat tape on pipes, leave the cabinets with pipes open. Set an alarm to reload the stove. There are temperature devices that will alarm if the interior of your cabin falls below your preset temp. Septic is a whole different story so please keep that in mind when you consider winterizing your cabin if you ever choose to go that route. No one wants a frozen septic or busted septic pipe. Placing foam insulation boards (pink, about 2" thick) on the interior walls and floor (interior to an exterior/outside wall) helps quite a bit. Definitely not pretty but since you made the cabinet to hide your water heater, you wouldn't see the foam. Just make sure you winterize your cabin before you leave it you'll come back to a mess. (Drain water heater, pipes, etc.) You'll figure it out, Hannah, you're a smart cookie! Enjoyed the Q &A! Stay warm and be well!
I found your channel yesterday. I’ve been binge-watching you. I’m 62 years young and I find you to be an amazing young woman. Anyway... I just googled “fishers”!!! I’m glad you’re taking the responsible attitude regarding getting a 4-legged baby. I prefer animals to most people. So glad you realize your wandering is not finished so therefore it isn’t the right time for a critter. Have fun! Go everywhere you can! You are what all young women should strive to be.
I'm 65. Hannah has the ability to attract all ages. We lived in Rhode Island a few years back. Neighbors told us about the fisher cats. Totally thought they were joking. Googled and OMG !!!!!😉 You can't make stuff like that up. Love Hannah!
You inspire me to be more "brave" like you. I grew up in a not so loving situation. It has caused me so much fear in my heart. I used to be adventurous and outgoing like you as a child but after some things happened to me it changed me. After loosing my oldest brother it became apparent that the trauma was too much for me (I was 20 I am 24 now). I started having panic attacks constantly not being able to leave my home in fear something awful would happen to me or someone I loved. It's not a rational thing to be fearful of but I am. I hide in my room alot I spend most days hiding from the world alone here even before covid. It's been a really bad couple of years even before 2020. Seeing you talk about bravery in a way that seems like steps in your life and how time slowly made you the person you are now truly gives me so much hope where I thought there wasn't any. Maybe instead of being so angry with myself for being so scared of everything and so weird. It gives me some sort of relief. Like the pressure I have on myself to become "better" from my mental illness or "normal" has been lessened. Maybe if I just give myself time I will be okay.... I feel like your influence has really push me in the right direction... I'm sorry, I know that is probably an awkward thing to say to someone but it is true.... I went on an adventure outside with my dog for the first time in a year yesterday and today after watching you concur your panty wall. I thought if you can randomly buy a cabin and build a pantry I can go on a walk outside even if I am scared. I took pictures when I climbed up top a rock on a mountain so I can start painting again. I am going to try to not overthink everything as much and just let things happen (easier said then done but I will try.). Thank you so much for you wonderful content and just being yourself. I am incredibly grateful that I found your channel. I know it may be weird but I look up to you. I feel like if you can do all these awesome things now I can do my own awesome things in my own way. I may not buy a van to live in but I can start taking steps in life that scare me like you.... sorry for such a long comment that I am not sure you will read but I just wanted you to know what a positive impact you have had on me in such a hard time in my life. You are my strong woman heroine and inspiration! I hope you are doing well and stay safe out there! Keep up your content and awesomeness. I will be here for all your videos! 💖💖💖💖
I felt this comment in my soul, as an introvert and fear based person, I also struggle with this a lot but it makes my heart soften knowing that there are people who feel like me. In the end, we will always win some and loose some, but I feel a bit more hopeful. I hope we can look forward to the future together knowing we are not alone ❤️
this made me cry. I'm so proud of you. I feel very inspired by both your story and Hannah's story too. isn't it just amazing how much people we watch on RU-vid can change our lives? :')
@Sofia Block I mean, yeah, in certain contexts I'm sure it can mean that, but I feel like in this specific one it's more of a "I can't remember shit even if it'd save my life" but maybe that's just me misinterpreting
@Charisma Girl And you're replying to a comment I made a MONTH ago that is literally just quoting something stupid she said that I related to. Had nothing to do with her sex life. This is her channel, and if she so chooses to talk about it, cool. People are people, they're gonna be weird, she can easily delete comments or even just turn comments completely off if it gets that bad for her. Personally, I just skimmed through that part and didn't really pay that close attention because I don't care. She's a consenting adult who, I'm gonna go on a limb and assume, is involved with other consenting adults. They can do whatever the fuck they want, it's not my business to tell them what to do. Don't like, don't watch. It's that easy. Skip over the parts where she discusses it/brings it up in passing, or just don't watch her videos full stop. This is her channel, and she's fully in control of what she posts. She can talk as much or as little about personal matters as she sees fit. Does not matter what, you, or I, or anyone else here think, do, or say. TL;DR: This is a channel that is run by a grown woman who has the right to talk about whatever she wants, and if what she chooses to talk about in videos makes you upset, it is YOUR responsibility to skip over it or click off the video (leave a dislike if it's that big a deal to you) IT IS NOT HER RESPONSIBILITY TO COMFORT OR CATER TO YOU.
@Charisma Girl You're the one making a big deal about this, dude. She was just uploading a video answering questions people had for her. If others in the comments are being pervs (which I haven't seen but then again this is probably the longest I've spent in a RU-vid comment section since I was a literal teenager) You zeroed in on my comment that had nothing to do with her sex life, and made it about her sex life. That's kinda skeevy in and of itself. You're the one here hyperfixated on what she does in the bedroom, I just like watching videos of her renovating her house and telling funny stories. Was the okay boomer comment professional? Nah, but, have you stopped to consider at any point in this string of comments, this is a comment section on a video floating around in the void we call the internet, and that I don't have to be up in arms and ready to professionally debate a creeper on said internet at a drop of a hat? That maybe I'm just enjoying my day off and happened to for whatever reason get zeroed in on by a weirdo because of a comment I made a month ago and HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT YOU'RE COMPLAINING ABOUT? I literally would have completely forgotten about this one singular comment had it not been for you replying and being a weirdo. Get your head out of the gutter, she posted this video to talk a bit more about herself as a human person to a couple thousand people who (typically) are interested in her as a human person, NOT for the sake of two idiots to duke it out on their keyboards.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thank you for thinking about not being ready for a dog. So many people get one without thinking ahead and end up leaving it alone for too long!!!
Hannaleeduggan , here's a helpful tip from a Northern Albertan. For your colder days in the outhouse, take the toilet seat into the house and keep it warm for your next visit to the outhouse. :-)
I’ve lived off grid in wilderness alone for years, I stay all year round, let me tell you I get up to 5 ft of snow. I park my truck down the mountain about a mile and hike in and out for several weeks during winter, I only use my wood stove for heat all winter and I cook on the wood stove. I also had an outhouse for first 9 years it was no big deal really, once it’s time for a new one you simply dig a new hole and can drag the out house structure over to new hole, fill in old outhouse with dirt you dug up.. I have bear, cougars and rattle snakes. I pack a pistol and bear spray. I love this life, so beautiful, gets really hot during July and August. Too hot.
Oh I love this!!!! ♥️ DO YOU HAVE A CHANNEL??? If not... seriously consider it. That’s pretty much my dream, right there. And working hard to get there. Lovely share!! 🌺⭐️
Get some more firewood, load up on beans, rice, pasta, barley good for soups, stews. Big jar peanut butter, crackers. Soup flavors. Make a list of your favorite foods. Top off the gas tank. Park the Van facing out.Big bag of wood chips to throw in your visit to the Out House, a little per visit. Keep a big catalog in the Out House, good for emergency.
You could totes come back from the Van wintering and get a small garden of onions and garlic and tomatoes into the ground. Then you can make and CAN your OWN sauce and have TONS!
If/when you wanna give that a go, start binging some of the homesteaders channels. Btw: I live in the city. YT gave me the handle but it's suitable. It's a way of living your life.😉
“She understood her worth which made her powerful. The world gravely needed a hero so she became one. No superpowers really, just a strong woman who took no nonsense from anyone.”
I'm not really sure she thought that much about it?...She just kept saying "yes" and her life unfolded from one event into another into another into another and she learned more and more about herself and her place in the world, with each experience. She's still doing that...🙏
On the topic of being brave- I subbed when you bought these cabins and have been watching every step of the process. I expected to learn how to renovate but instead I feel like I’ve learned how to LEARN! The fact that with every task you are open to us about learning how to do it yourself has really inspired me to start TRYING more and giving myself the opportunity to learn rather than saying ‘I don’t know how to do that’ and giving up So honestly, thank you for sharing your experiences with us:)
Also, with the outhouse… My dad told me growing up on the farm in the 50s they would move the out house, dig another hole for it and pack up the other hole that was filled with dirt.
I may have imagined it but I think Hannah may have mentioned a septic tank so it would need emptying. The type of outhouse you described is a 'long drop'- hence moving it around as it fills. My Gran had one of those until she eventually got a chemical loo to keep in one place in the 1970's. Felt like luxury!! Never did get mains plumbing bar one cold tap with a soak-away in the kitchen ......unfortunately I was never able to afford to get it done for her but she was very robust and lived to the grand age of 97. Plus the basic amenities never put us off staying with her as kids- it was an adventure 😊😊
@@brendasnow8255 Everyone didn’t grow up in the city. Yes, in the 50’s there were outhouses and one room school houses that had a pot belly stove to warm it in the winter. In rural areas things were a lot different.
@@brendasnow8255 My grandparents had only an outhouse until the mid-80's.... You don't need a flush toilet at all, outhouses work fine, but population density in cities requires a different system, aka flush toilets & sewers.

I'm native American. I grew up with outhouses at my grandparents. So question when it fills up? Answer. U don't let it fill up all the way. I think you leave 4 ft or more thats full level. Then u fill it with dirt and move ur out house. 😁😝 I think your place is perfect and ur living the life I want. I'm just as a dork as u are. Music, tasks, and errands I do as the same. "Holy shit that's good! Why did I not realize it's only like...three ingredients?" -- literally me every time I make soup. Yet again Hannah being the most relatable person on the internet in 2020
When your out house gets full you: Step 1: Have someone dig a new hole Step 2: Move out house by using a tractor (or other machine) to new hole Step 3: Use dirt removed from new hole to fill the old hole and smooth over
I've used a couple of come-a-longs instead of a tractor too. A tractor would have been easier, especiallyby myself, but that was a long long ways away into Alaska. No tractors for many miles, just a plane, and a boat. If you use some poles wider than the new hole like they are rollers, like rolling on parallel rolling pins, just starting a new one every foot or so, you can role/drag it over the new hole with less effort and it will prevent it from snagging on the new hole. Then a jack to get the poles out.
In the old days pre-plumbing when they filled in the old hole, they would plant a lilac bush. Some of the old homes have a row of lilacs along the back of the property.
As a female who’s never felt accepted for liking open relationships, it’s SO nice to hear that someone else is also comfortable with open relationships (especially as a female). I hope you talk more about it when you feel comfortable to do so! I think it’ll help others feel accepted for feeling the same way and it’ll open up a great discussion about it. Sending love and light!!!
@@RP-ez2jm No, no, no. You have to figure out YOUR personality. SHE has a personality to "just leap". Some people are natural planners. To try to take on someone else's personality would not make YOU happy and may not bear the same results. This is the path she wants. You have to figure out what YOU want. It may in fact be this type of lifestyle, but if it isn't inside of you to be this way, you won't be as happy. Just like SHE knew she wanted to try other things besides college first.
Donnalee Clubb Donnalee Clubb Yes, I know that. Which is why I said "best advice *I'VE* ever been given". Not sure why you're dismissing what I said but I know full well that not everyone just goes for it. But thanks!

My feedback on how this came together? Perfect. It was inviting and instantly comfortable. I loved hearing about how you started out with the traveling and your general lifestyle. I’d love to hear more of your stories! You have inspired me to take big leaps and be less afraid ;)
Yeah, not convinced on this. If you actually "care" about someone, how are you gonna be cool when they're with someone else? Sounds like someone convinced Hannah of some b.s.. Maybe you can make your head ok with it but the heart doesn't work that way. Then add in the cool STD's....mmm..no.
I'm curious about more detail as well. I was in one 'once upon a time,' and our 'basic' rule was broken (spending the night being a no-no, at least without prior knowledge, in this case). If it's been a common thing for you, has the Trust of the relationship stayed alive each time?
I can relate to her choice , I've been in some train wreck relationships and prefer to stay single, and if I was at that age, being "tied down" would steal your freedom and right now she's LIVING in freedom, without ANY outside influence
@@reeb9016 Agreed. Women who’ve been hurt or even raped are usually the only one’s who are ok with it. You tell your mind “see, I’m ok with moving on, and I don’t care deeply...” It’s a coping mechanism. Reversed psychology.
Tbh, she didn't seem overly comfortable chatting about that.....maybe just too personal. There must be other sources out there on that subject- there is no hard and fast instruction manual per say- it's either something that suits you or doesn't. A very personal choice and people can only talk from their own experience. What worked or didn't work for them will be totally different for others. 🤷♀️
Some random small projects you could do someday: - build a bird feeder / water station - build and hang up a hammock - build a shoe storage - grow trees ( apples, nuts, cherries) - put a bathtub outdoors and when it's hot outside you can use it as a mini pool - ( hang up lights for " the way to the toilet" but you already did that) - explore the forest - grow some vegetables/ herbs ...that's it for now. Keep on living that beautiful dream, so many including me dream of ;)
Most def, do your #OpenRelationships! How'd you discover them ... is there a fear or lack of need of monogamy ... how do #OpenRelationshipsFunctionInHannahsWorld?
Full outhouse? You should put lime on regularly. It helps with odors and helps break it down. I dont know anyone who "emptied" an outhouse on a farm!!!
@@SarahM-lw2gd Hey Sarah, I think Kim might have meant lime as the white chemical consisting of calcium oxide. It's derived from limestone. Some people use ash from the stove too, it easier to come by; but doesn't smell as good. Hope this helps :))
you can also use something that's more environmentally friendly than lime- it's a treatment for outdoor toilets that contain beneficial bacteria and enzymes that break down the waste faster and neutralizes odors. here's an example of one of these products www.maierhardware.com/shop/plumbing/toilets-and-parts/outdoor-toilet-treatment-ott/
You are sooo young! I didnt become Introverted until in my 40's and now that I am 50, I am totally fine alone, esp. during Covid! It's easier with my Black Cat, Pandora. Animals are better than people, to me!
When the outhouse pit is full you dig a new pit and move the outhouse over it, then bury the old pit. An outhouse pit 3 foot wide by 5 feet deep will sustain a family of 6 for 5 years. Also lime over the pit to keep the odors down. :)
This is the best kind of Q&A form, because it does more than just answer the questions. Q&A videos have a tendency to feel lazy and last minute. This definitely didn't🌿 Also talking videos feel like a sunday afternoon💛So it would be great to see some of those (even though I _love_ your cabin series, there's probably only so much you can do and especially when you're leaving for the winter).
I would probably still order some wood because if something happens while you’re on the road and you need to come home, you don’t want to be scrambling.
She is not that kind of girl. She would be running around scrambling. LOL. And think of it as a "learning experience". Me, I am a planner and always was so I wouldn't even be in a dense forest in a cabin. It's good that she seems happy, but it does no good to WISH you could have that personality. Everyone is different and that is good. That's why people that would feel apprehensive at doing this can view her doing this. You have to do what makes you happy and that is cool.
Over preparedness never hurts. You can always use it later. We had 1 cord (full truckbed) of wood our first winter (UT), with central heat, and we used all of it within a few months. I couldn't imagine how it would've been if that was our only heat source.
I would like to hear more about open relationships and how you got there. I havent heard a lot about it and its not really adressed anywhere in my life. I liked the Q&A. I just found your channel on your last video. Im happy youtube recommended it.
You are a real heckin inspiration to me. I honestly thought you were way younger, but you are just a few years younger than I am, and you seem to have lived so many more lives. Keep on being yourself!
What kind of life is this ? Didn t pass 16 minutes and I m not getting it, she has a bath outside with glass? In a place where wild animals can kill her pet. And no washing machine when she bought a new house? All this is bizarre. Is there an instructor helping her off camera? How does she make a living anyway ?

to answer the "outhouse question": you move the structure, dig a new hole a few feet from the old spot and use the material to fill the old. move the house over the new hole. done.
I've always heard that you move the outhouse, but I don't know how "filling" would work. By the time my uncle would move his outhouse, there was a pointy mound of shit going to within inches of the seat height! 🤢🤢🤮 I was never around on "move" day.
She definitely could possibly get a stalker bc of her being extremely gorgeous smart and living alone! 15 acres is a lot of privacy!!! I’m hoping she has someone that comes checks on her regularly. I would hope so! Definitely she should get more security cams or trail cams to put in her driveway and at the main entrance and back behind her cabins maybe even a perimeter cams. And she can check the recordings daily or just for comfort I know I would . 21:25 bravery isn't not being scared, it's doing things even if you are scared, so by that definition you ARE brave, you just have learned to push yourself just slightly past your comfort zone... being brave in small bites and it gradually had built into this.
Well here's my feedback on the long-form conversation style videos: even if to you, it feels like just talking at your phone... to me, it is refilling my "courage reserves" just listening to you tell me about how you live this spontaneous, adventurous lifestyle! I'm only 21, I'm still relatively new to adulting LOL, and I am working hard to get to the same kind of place you're at. But in this moment, when I'm struggling through the mires of figuring out car/health insurance, self-employment taxes, AND buying my first vehicle... you are keeping me *grounded,* doing what you do. Thank you. The section where you went off about how you made your own pasta sauce from scratch was EXACTLY what I STILL do whenever I manage to cook something LOL, *so relatable.* Like, this is exciting stuff! I overthought liking your channel, but with this one you've won me over. I enjoy your sensibilities, your carefree manner, your desire to learn, and the fact that you don't take yourself super serial. Brava!
Making part of your property a foodforest would be SO awesome! There is quite a lot of info out there on foodforests and how to design one. I'm also happy to provide you with some sources.
From what i know from my many few years of existence when the outhouse gets full you either fill the hole with dirt or leave it open and either way you move the outhouse somewhere else
Start building up a good pantry and keep some supplies stuck back for times when you can't get out due to weather. Then for pipes get insulation for pipes. It looks like black pool noodles. They are easy to use. Keep 2 weeks or more groceries in pantry for emergencies. Soup pancake mix. Easy to make items. Also put together a small tote box with items you would need if you get sick. And include Sprite and Gatorade or Powerade. These are also items that can be stored away.
Talking with your hands is one of the reasons I'm able to watch your videos (I mean while you're just sat talking). I have ADHD so the moving hands keeps me focused on what you're saying. So to answer your question 'what am I doing?', you're doing what many people can't 😂
I would like any content you put out, honestly. More Q & As, video or about your relationship aspect part of your life, more just you fixing things up! Im excited for it all 😁
As a slightly older Aries, YES, always the first to leap. I also bought property this year with no concrete plan. But it is working out beautifully. So glad I am not the only one, but, alas, we are few and far between...Namaste...
It's true for many people but at 62 I'm still OK with using the outhouse. Less is more in my life. If I do get an indoor toilet it will be a composting one.
Create a pantry in the other cabin, the cold will keep everything mostly fresh. And there’s also these portable washer and dryer machines on Amazon for around $100. And Amazon or Walmart also sell oil heaters that just take Kerosene, with no electricity needed. All this would probably be around the same cost of gas traveling for the winter. Keep goin girl 💕💅🏾
