Dallas, Texas, USA - 1993 Skate America, Ladies' Free Skate - Oksana Baiul of Ukraine won the Free Skate and ended moving up from 2nd to win the Gold Medal.
I don’t think I ever saw her skate any other program. She wasn’t on the scene long enough. Too bad she never tried a different program. Don’t care for when skaters skate the same program two years in a row.
Oksana sued Galina and Victor for embezzling her earnings. She was very ungrateful for all the help they gave her. Oksana's gold-digging husband in finance was probably behind it. BTW, she lost the suit; in fact, I think it was thrown out for being frivolous.
Вона подала в суд за те, що вони оформили представництво її авторських прав без відома Оксани. Вони використовували її ім'я, виступи, отримували за це кошти, а Оксана ні.
True! But had she kept it, then basically the same dress would have the Olympic gold back-to-back. Remember, Kristy Yamaguchi wore the same outfit two seasons prior.
@@TressBraga i don’t know what Kristi Yamaguchi has to do with this dress or the pink dress but i suspect the answer is closer to “ not a damn thing” than you’d care to admit …
Dragonfly Yup. I remember hearing Harding always saying how they didn't like her..all I hear from the commentators and officials is how great she was. But from what I see she can pull off a great program and that is not a champion. I don't know if I have saw more than two altogether that she did not fall.
@@DarkKittycat “an elephant on ice” y’all can’t criticize someone without resorting to cheap shots huh? Whether you like her or not tonya’s trademark was her powerful jumps and spins, I apologize something that takes a serious amount of athletic ability and stamina doesn’t look graceful enough for you.
"She listens to her skates and when they're ready, she begins". What horseshit. I'm sorry, I never "got" Baiul. I think her backstory helped her along. Hated this programme.
Wow. What a trivial thing to hate someone for. I suspect what she meant is that she would start when she was ready and not a moment before, which shows an ability beyond her years to resist pressure and trust her own judgement when it came to her skating ability.
@@chooseyourpoison5105 Wow, what a dramatic assumption to make. Never said I hated either Baiul or the commentator. Disliking someone's skating style or pretentious commentary is not a basis for hate, unless you think it is and that's where you're getting that ridiculous assumption from!
