"Jumpin' At The Woodside" (William "Count" Basie), the last tune on the "Big Band Swing Roll" arranged by Rich Olsen (roll no. 14519). This rare Wurlitzer 145-A band organ plays for the classic Allan Herschell carousel at Olcott Beach Carousel Park, Olcott Beach, New York, on the shore of Lake Ontario. The park also features five kiddie rides, two of which are Herschells. All rides are only 25 cents!

@anglerfly He told me that once the tracker bar fell on his head! Ouch! Believe it or not I thought for a while that Dan Wilke was Darvozz but he had no idea who Darvozz was. That is a strong organ though, it's sounding even better than it did.

It's fun how the sound of the motor actually swings before the tune starts.

I think the reason they keep the bells off is because they were added. This is a 145-A, meaning it originally had no bells. Besides, I like it better without the bells!

The reason it has no spinning motor wheel is because they replaced the jackshaft with a gear motor. Kennywood did the same with their 153...

@anglerfly I think the bells are usually disconnected. Perhaps they are thought by some to be "too loud."

What about that olde tune in Cheyenne? The one so distant, like in a dream. Pipe organ?

It's weird how the cymbol is on the back of the bass drum.

Agreed, though I seen some 165s like that

@@Wurlitzer146-A which one was it? All 165's have cymbals in front of the bass drums.
