You’re also forgetting three other whispers and old god hints that are in game: “Beware the eyes of green” - Chromie has green eyes and she is also hunted by the void in the chromie scenario “A black goat with seven heads watches from the outside” - We were told that Yshaarj was pulled out by amanthul and formed the well of eternity but now we know that might be a lie so he might be imprisoned under the dragon isles which is why his heart was still pumping in MoP “Xalatath: the light sees us as monstrosities to be feared but we do not share this view they are beloved brethren that have lost their way” - its said the curse of flesh was given by Yogg Saron but the Eredar were flesh and there was no old god on Argus and they worshipped the light it wasnt until Sargeras made contact with them that they met the Titans

Interesting thing, the whisper “her dreams sing beneath the surface” is really similar to what saezurah (the oracle in ZM who helped to make the new arbiter) says if you click on her enough to get her annoyed dialogue, she says “her dreams sing beneath the surface, quiet now, but her voice will awaken the others”… just interesting

I am surprised that the Earthen Ring doesnt play a big role in the expansion. Elementals are everywhere.

To be fair, at least the Titans didn't force the elementals to fight for their amusement, unlike the Old Gods did.

i think azeroth is just a world soul. world souls are full of unbound magic (manifest as elemental magic) but the major outside forces seek to control the power to win the great struggle of cosmic forces. so asking if azeroth a titan is kinda missing the implications, azeroth is a world soul, and it could be made into an order titan, or a void titan, or any factions titan. the question should be phrased, is azeroths world soul corrupted by order magic so much that if she were born would she be an order titan instead some another kind of titan or being? or perhaps, is the birth of a titan of any faction actually a very unnatural occurrence, and really what would be in the best interest of azeroth and her denizens would be to leave the magic of azeroth uncorrupted and elemental, let the planet exist in peace and not be cracked open like an egg to make another giant weapon for the order faction. also, i feel like we should stop calling the titan pantheon we are familiar with THE titans and instead call them order titans. probably they are just one small group of order titans and elsewhere in the cosmos there are other galaxies where chaos titans are the main pantheon and stuff.

Honestly there's no way that Blizz sent us all the way back into the Black Empire as part of the capstone quest in the main story chain for it to be a throwaway thing.

If they put out that cool giant squid temple out of the ground/sea which is from the Classic era, I assume, then that'd be pretty cool imo.

An ulduar 2.0 would be received well, imo. It’s generally thought of as one of the best raids they’ve done (for it’s time, anyways), and it fits perfect with Titans and old gods.

Something I never hear ppl mentioning is a 4th voice while in the black empire time area. We clearly hear cthun and nzoth, we don’t hear yogg but we hear another voice that we haven’t heard of yet to my knowledge, would that 4th voice by y’shaarj?

Well I see the problem with using map of the Black empire here. You can see that when legion attacked, Dragon isles were isles aleardy (dragonflight cinematic).

Old Gods never die, they just go below and reemerge.

The infinite dragonflight is a paradox , they speak of wanting to make nozdormu into murazond , but do the infinite exist without murozond to begin with ?

At this point.. With all the things that happened. Wouldn't Azeroth wake up with the power of all the cosmic forces? If she is to be the powerful being in the universe, she'd need to be able to wield every aspect of the cosmos.

Yeah know they cant write original characters anymore so I guess our villains for the next 10 expansions will be old gods and legion over and over and over

I bet old gods will corrupt Nozdormo because he states to chromie he’s scared of losing himself. Somehow he will pull Galakron from the past. Nozdormo and Galakrond becomes boss fights. This is a guess I could be way off

I just don’t like the old god lore.. idk I think I just don’t like the monster with bunch of eyes and tentacles style.

I do not think that it is just "they took our lands" and I dont like the idea at all. I find the Azeroth being a dormant titan much better. It is closer to the source of inspiration and it is much simplier. I do not think fantasy is a place of "no one is really evil, its just everyone wanting something and antagonize someone else" it shouldnt exist in fantasy. It is fantasy, not real life and it SHOULD NOT reflect real life. It should be a place where the bad guys are the adversaries and obstacles that we have to overcome to attain our goal. Morally grey should not exist in fantasy. It is not fantasy at all. WoW with a morally grey plot is just not WoW. It should be renamed to something else. There is a huge reason why LOTR is extremely popular and a cultural phenomenon and it is not just because it was well written. A game should make you feel and not think. It should make you feel like wanting to have revenge on Gul'dan because he incinerated Varian. It should make you want to defeat every cultist and their leaders because they want to convert into the Black Empire again. It should trigger in you feelings. That is why I think most of us just dont feel it anymore. I am a horde player and have been for much of my existance and even thou' I like Gul'dan because he was one of the most powerful Warlock, if not THE MOST powerful mortal being Warlock. He embodies what a Warlock is - a power thirsty individual that would do anything for more power. He made me want to kill him for Varian. I wanted to kill Kil'jaeden because of what he did to the orcs, to stop the hunt for the draenei and because he was the second-in-command to Sargeras. It made me FEEL to want to kill them. Azeroth's inspiration is Azathoth the Blind God. He is in a permanent sleeping state because it is kept that way by other forces singing to him. The world exists because he is sleeping. To draw a parallel here. We have a home because the titan inside is sleeping and we should keep her sleeping. Akin to Azathoth where if he wakes up it ends reality because he unconsciously created reality in his sleep Azeroth created life in a similar manner. That is where, esentially, the similarities end. Old Gods are not there to keep her sleeping, they are there to corrupt her and use her to conquer the cosmos. The Titans do not want the Void to have her and use her and Sargeras would rather kill her then let it fall in Void hands because he thinks that it will, inevitablly, happen. He does not see us as a worthy guardians to her so he takes matters in his own hands. To take all this, this tiny bit and make it all morally grey and say, well, actually........the Titans are bad but we think they are not because we are born in a world they created and they fed us Titanic propaganda. That is one of the most disgusting things to tarnish the fantasy genre. The matters are simple. Titans are the order that means their interest is to have Azeroth wake up when she is due if she is to wake up from her slumber. The Void is convinced that the titans are wrong to let things at chance and they want to take things in their own hands. The Light......is the most boring force out of them all. BFA did a very poor job at that and it made me want to hate Sylvanas, hate Tyrande and made me sympathize with Rastakhan because they did him dirty. The only thing they succeeded in doing is making me hate Jaina. It made me feel nothing against Azshara. Azshara killed nothing and no one it felt like she is a villain just because she is an established villain. N'zoth was rushed and I was more in awe at seeing him than being excited to be able to kill him. SL is just atrocious. The only reason I hate WoD so much is because they managed to make me want to kill Hellscream and be excited about when we would end up to fight him only to turn him into a good guy for w/e reason. Dragonflight made me feel nothing for Raszageth. Alexstrasza is useless as ever and Nozdormu is lazily writen as always. Nozdormu, in fact, has the exact same powers as the Old Gods if you start to think about it. He sees the future but it is not sure what he is seeing. Oh, wait, we have another character with the EXACT same powers. What was his name ? Something Ve? Vel....Vel, Velen or something? I swear I have not heard of him. I swear! So, tl;dr: Morally grey DOES NOT make you feel anything and it does not make you go through an emotional rollercoaster. Azeroth = Azathoth inspiration and I think that is awesome and it should stay that way. Fantasy should always be Good vs Evil.

I'm so sick of the old gods, just want them dealt with already.

So far i really like where the story is headed, but if they make an old god themed raid again im just gonna be pissed. Too much old god garbage, please something new or something more relaxed, next tier should be infinite dragonflight and the last one should be something different. Please no more old gods ffs.

I really want after Dragonflight we will see the Sargeras' expansion. After waiting for years.
