@@alvaroyebenespeno6027 Yeah, and even though Void Elves have High Elven skins, it's still just not good enough! We want pure High Elves not Void powered High Elves and Blood Elves.
wrong, I play as a furblog paladin all the time, Use dartols rod which normally gets removed in combat but after using it then use the skymirror toy, Its a lot of fun and you can't get dartols rod anymore so its kind of exclusive :P
The only reason Ogres seemed stupid was because of the upper-class of their society keeping them that way to make them easy to control and keep down. There was a quest on Draenor with the Tormmok Garrison recruit, where he was a Soldier Captain who was too smart for his own good, and his Masters arranged to have him killed off in-case he began questioning them.
speaking of Jinyu the Alliance did ally themselves with even a sub species of them called the Ankoan in BFA in Nazjatar! So did the Horde with Giblins the water Goblin Mutations... There actually was a rumor that Giblins would be the Horde Counterpart to Mechagnomes Robot Gnomes versus Fish Goblins. Come on Blizzard you can do a lot good with those long included and introduced Races just flip the switch! On Mogu, Sethrak and Arrakoa too be the first MMORPG with real playable Birdpeople!
I always hear people say nonsense like “they aren’t playable because helms and armor don’t fit their models”. Wow, be a real shame if the multimillion dollar company had to put development time into anything and be creative artists.
True. But did you heard the amount of butthurt over some races that their gear are stretched and some helms don't fit properly or are clipping? No? Maybe that's why Blizz is hesitating to implement them. And that's why the game is plagued with blood elves and humans. Which is a real shame.
Also add the option to change the description of with those customisation races. A dwarf with tatoos? Bam, call it a wildhammer. A ocher skinned troll? A sand troll. (Same with any other colour of the rainbow) A blue-eyed void elf without any void features? Be a high-elf. We don't need racials (as long as the current ones don't blatantly disregard your fantasy) Just give us this specific in quest-texts or when hovering anove your avatar.
could even add unique druid forms when choosing the customization option, like polar bear-like form, sabertooth tiger feral form, and such you know to match the Northrend theme. this could even also be done to other customizations where a druid class is available. would wish Blizzard also would do this for the undead night elf customization though and would add some dark-themed paladin, and priest variation for blood elves and night elves given their new customization options( Blizzard really missed an opportunity to rail in old and new players there) would
Still surprised that they didn't make the Hozen and Jinyu allied races at this point. Probably would have made better replacements for the mechagnomes and vulpera.
I get the Hozen not being a race, but Jinyu are a little harder. I think it's mostly due to the limited in-lore classes, especially in the Hozen's case. I mean, can you imagine a Hozen mage? They're not exactly an intelligent race.As well as animation set again in the Hozen's case. Might run into some awkwardness with the Jinyu's weird shoulder scale things that are ingrained into the model.
@@Raytenk Yes because a game with pandarens, worgen, tauren all as playable races surely didn't attract furries already no it must be this race 10/10 logic right there
Sethrak would be cool since they actually have a unique design and are not just an overhaul of an old race. But honestly I think they should focus A LOT more on making older classes mire fun to play, cause we already have plenty of races.
Sethrak makes sense to be allied race since they are against Vulperas and those guys are in Horde already. But alas, Alliance gained a fat human, Deus Vult Draenei and edgy Dwarf and Blood Elf reskins instead.
@@RebelWvlf "since they are against Vulperas" If you want those Sethrak on the Alliance then you will not be getting Vorrik's Devoted Sethrak. You will be receiving Korthek's evil Sethrak (The Faithless) that the Horde, the Vulpera, AND the Devoted defeated. The Horde and the Vulpera worked with Vorrik and his Devoted Sethrak much more than the Alliance and did soo much for them The Horde and the Vulpera save Vorrik (Aliance saves him first but Horse saves him in the second case that he needs saving) The Horde, the Devoted, and the Vulpera defeated Korthek together The Horde saved Sethraliss (the Devoted Sethrak's Loa) The Horde killed Mythrax and G'huun There are Zandalari who worship Sethraliss Sethraliss and her Devoted attended Talanji's coronation Did Alliance do more than that?
I would have given High Arakkoa to the Alliance if the Horde got the Maghar. They would be super pissed when some crazies tried to get them to praise light that isn't Rukhmar.
Lorewise, i see no reason why jinyu aren't playable yet, aside from what you mention in this video, they also have special connection with the alliance, in bfa when alliance crashed to nazjatar they allied themselves with ankoan, and ankoan are basically jinyu who left pandaria a long time ago.
I really think that Blizzard adding the Darkfallen as a customization option over as a playable race was them deciding that future playable races shouldn't be reskins. So I really think that we could end up seeing some other allied race requests becoming customization options as well. For example Taunka for the Tauren, Frost Dwarves for the Dwarves, Forest trolls for the Darkspear, Leper gnomes for the gnomes, etc....
There's actually a third Ogre clan in the Horde : the Alternate Universe Stonemaul clan, that joined along with the Mag'har and the Gronn, Ogron and Goren in BFA because they all got caught in the teleportation spell
I’ve been waiting for ogres since before the game released and they said they were on the list of possible future races to play as. They kept claiming as much for years before saying they’re just “too tall” lol I always thought Ogres were perfect with an already extant racial capital, and figured they’d be a perfect horde addition while alliance got Furbolg.
Jinyu was a race I always wanted to play as when I seen them in mop for the first time, plus imo it's a compromise to murlocs/naga being added as playable
I have always thought they should have added in allied races a lot earlier than they did. Should have added stillpine furbulgs and stonemaul ogres in a dlc after BC. Frostborne dwarves and taunka during lich king. Jinyu and hozen during pandaria. They had so many already existing options to add in first before they decided to add in the allied races they did.
I think the best pair of allied races to come next would be dark ranger-horde and furbolg-alliance. Reason being because each allied race is somewhat of a variant of an existing race, and the only two that don’t have a match are undead and worgen. There’s already talk as far as I’m aware of making dark rangers playable, that would be perfect for the horde. And the furbolg are close enough resembling worgen in that they are essentially werebears, just without the ability to shift into human form. If they do make furbolg playable they should definitely update the model to make it look more worgen style except thicker and with a bear head instead of a wolf head, but that would be dope to play as!
I Would like That Next To Forest Trolls Were Also The Dark Trolls Who,Together With The Furbolgs,Helped The Alliance And The Horde To Fight In The Battle Of Mount Hyjal Maybe In The Very Far Future We Will Have These Three Playable Races
If Ogres join the Horde and that Broken faction from Argus joined the Alliance WoW feels complete for me, I´d race change so hard. Instead we got fox people and even more paladin like draenei
The Arakkoa are definitely a Race that needed to be added as a Playable Race. Despite their ferocious and savage appearance and a culture almost similar in-nature to the Zandalari Trolls, The Arakkoa are actually the kind of race that would fit in more with The Alliance due to their history on Draenor as one of the many civilizations that stood opposed to the Orcs long before The Orcish Horde was formed with groups like the Shattered Hand and Bleeding Hollow Clans having brutal skirmishes with the Arakkoa. By the time of The Second War when Turalyon and Alleria made their expedition into Draenor, they garnered the assistance of The Arakkoa as guides for the savage world that they had shared with the Orcs. If there is one particular group of Arakkoa we'd need to be playable, it would have to be The Order of The Awakened from Alternate Draenor due to them being made up of Corrupted and Non-Corrupted Arakkoa setting aside their differences and working together again for the purpose of recreating the Apexis Civilization, along with setting up the possibility for Yrel and The Lightbound to become a future enemy to face off against. I think that The Arakkoa had the perfect chance to be added in Shadowlands, due to the Arakkoa's own history of having learned how to travel into and out of The Shadowlands from their Raven God Anzu. Which is two elements that give credence to an Arakkoa Playable Race in Shadowlands due to their abilities along with the nature of Ardenweald being a place where the souls of those deeply connected with nature such as Wild Gods (which Anzu and Rukhmar are both classified as) journey to and recharge before returning to the mortal plane again.
trux is supposed to mean “fated to die” and val is old norse for “to choose” so it would mean "to choose the fate of death". This sounds to me like something made for War.
Honestly, some of these races would be even easier to do. Make them more like the Drakthyr. Such as Furball being a druid only option. In that since their populations are so small. Only a handful of specialized conscripts would be out in the various military units. Hozen could be a Rogue only option as they'd make perfect scouts and infiltrators. But wouldn't be as impactful as front line soldiers in the horde.
I must say that Horde and Alliance have almost all races and that's unreal. Fantasy as it is, it should resemble reality a little bit. There should be numerous faction's. Who was there to help the High Elves? NO ONE.
Another thing about the Magh'ar they would probably need a model update as they are otherwise just slightly larger brown orcs, which we already have access to as a playable race. We could also consider the very forgotten frostborn dwarves who were lead by the amnesiac Muradin in Northrend. then we have the gilgoblin and ankoan from that one patch in BfA
tbh, i think wow just needs a big world update expasion, similar to cataclysm, just updating every zone to the state it should be in at the time, and add/update some existant races
I think Frost dwarves/frostborn maybe joined Alliance? Would had been a fun combo with the now firey Dark Iron Dwarves:) Muradin atleast asked some of them who wanted to,to join them in Ironforge. No matter if they don't have any revelance in storyline at the moment I would love to have the world populated with our old/new Horde and Alliance allies would make the world seem more alive seeing some in our villages/cities or traveling outside their old homes borders to see new lands. There was some Horde Hozen in Horde Harbour outside Orgrimmar with Riku in the past don't know if they still there?
Furbolgs couldn't be a playable race because they don't wear clothes. Ogres could become playable-ish, the main issue is that there is no female model, secondary issue is that some ogres have two heads, and we'd have to be limited to single-headed ogres. Traditionally the single-headed MU ogres are the dumber ones (caused by years of slavery and dark magic experimentation - the alternate universe ogres are unaltered, but are also hostile), with the two-headed ones taking up leadership and spellcaster roles though, so it would be a bit of a lore break, but I suppose blizz has retconned things before. They would have to scale them down to kul tiran sizes though. Even as it is kul tirans barely fit through doors. Hozen I could see made playable with no issues. I could see Taunka made playable as well, but they are a single tribe that has not had the time or space to expand, and has suffered heavy losses against the scourge. Still, their starting area could involve fending off the mindless scourge during shadowlands timeline to later join the horde on the mainland. I could see Jinyu as playable with very few issues (their fins would likely have to be stripped so as not to clip with armors). I could see Mok'nathal as playable, but like the Taunka, there are actually very few of them. Revantusk & miscellaneous forest trolls I could see made playable but I don't think there's enough difference from the darkspear and zandalari to make as a separate race. With all of the other races you suggested, you can think of specific racial passives and actives, but the forest trolls ultimately have the same properties as normal trolls. We can already make green and greenish trolls, because the darkspear has over time absorbed various smaller troll tribes. If anything I'd just add more skin colors to the default troll race.
Nah, we need more elves man. Yeah, they might have attracted the legion to our world. Yeah, they might have shattered the world into big and small pieces.Aaaand spread the corruption of all kinds of magics. Aswell as corrupting trees through magical mutation or animation. But yeah, ELVES!
Undead Will bring in Leper Gnomes to Horde, Worgen will bring light forged undead to Alliance. Pandaren will bring the Furblogs to Horde and Alliance. Least likely being leper gnome. But this is what I predict. Before you say Gnomes already have Gnome.and Mechagnome. THERE ARE 4 ELF RACES DAMMIT. And technically three human options. Kul Tiran, Stormwind Human, or Undead on Horde, all dead humans. So maybe instead of leper gnome they will add undead elves idk. But Jinyu and Hozen are my highest hopes. Always wanted to be a Hozen Druid or Shaman or Mage.
I mean another simple one to add is just give Horde Gnolls to be a counter to the Worgen given they just got a new model why not use it and it's not like it's hard to think of why the Gnolls would join the horde
I opt that there should be an update to every single one of those races, including Furbolgs and Forest Trolls. Also, I wouldn't mind there being Furbolgs being corrupted under various schools of magic, and with the Tyranny of the Light expansion coming our way, why not make Lightbound Furbolgs? Why not make Furbolgs more than simply hunchbacked bears with such long nails?
I honestly think if they add Taunka it will be as a customization option, like the undead elves, instead of a full Allied Race. They just have different heads from the original Tauren. Maybe the lack of a female Taunka head model is the holdup? I don't think lore stating a race is few in number is an issue, due to the existence of Void Elves.
There is no future for alliance with the current mindset of devs when ally is the topic. Arakkoas for alliance? Not. Sethraks for the alliance? Not. Saberons for the alliance? Not. Jinyus for alliance? NOT. These races may one day be the horde but the only thing Blizzard will do to the alliance is another mockery like humans with 4 stomachs purple blood elves with lore bastard or junkgnomes made of trash that wear diapers. There is no lack of options. It's Blizzard's unwillingness to create a story of any race that appeals to players in the ally. Have Mercy.
Sethrak will be Horde not Alliance. Alliance didn't do anywhere near as much for the Sethrak as the Horde did. And those ones that people like to claim "hate the Vulpera" are not the Devoted who worship Sethraliss (the Devoted are the ones players work with), they are the evil Faithless Sethrak who were allied with Korthek and Mythrax
You keep saying that there is no reason why they aren't a race. While there is a multitude of reasons, most being because of development cost and how their skeletons look especially with gear along with them.
I'd love the Alliance to get a bit more of a Variety of Races Joining them, I think the Tortollon would had been a Good Choice and I'd really like the Saberon to return as they use the Worgen Model. I know the Saberon aren't inheritely Alliance Asthetic but I feel like they would be a good counter part to the goblin/vulpera :)
oh one more thing about "race population being a problem" That is not a real issue. In lore there werent many Voidelves..and well look at them now. Races can repopulate
I am still very confused why would they go with Dracthyr and Evoker whilst there are so many long expected race and class options (maining Dracthyr nontheless). Shadowlands should've given us our Necromancer class at the least. But we already have DK! you say, well we already had Warlock and still got DH.
Also they went through designing all those NPCS and their spells. They could easily be turned into a class with 1 healer and 1 dps specs. Not gonna start on long awaited Tinkerer class.
Furbolg: Maybe, plenty of potential for interesting storylines and finally giving the Alliance some much needed ferocity. Ogre: HELL YES! We've waited forever for them. Hozen: Bugger off! Taunka: Nope, could be added as a customization option with the face, but not as an independent race. Jinyu: See Hozen. Mok'Natal: Not interested, too similar to Mag'har in looks and character, but they could literally be added as a customization option to them, add bigger tusks/squatter faces. Forest Troll: Just add them under the baseline Trolls, a very murky green is already a skintone for them, so it shouldn't be that hard, they've kinda already done it with the Dark Trolls.
im just sads still no naga or murloc, we got f@%ing dragons but still no naga.... but also a bit surpised no pearl fins or hozen. would love to see a hozen tank "wield" its shield on its tail an its block animation is ducking low to the ground an its tail arching forward with its shield on it blocking a hit or "shield bash" style moves its just riding it like a sled. another missed opportunity is allowing the eradar to join the horde , would have been a far better counter to holier draneai then more turran.
I can see all of these races... except for the hozen. They're just too simple-minded (they have the minds of children, after all - the "wisest" of them being about equivalent to a 12- or maybe... 13-year-old human in mentality) to really be casters or monks with a couple exceptions. At least as they are. Unless they get a major intellectual overhaul or a splinter faction that's much more open and intelligent... I can't really see them being much more than warriors, hunters, and maybe rogues. Maybe shaman? That's probably a stretch for them, though. Obviously, there are *rare* exceptions, but by and large, hozen are too limited in scope class-wise. And I don't think there are any death knights of them, but I can see them being absolutely brutal and terrifying death knights. I dread the day some absolute psychopath necromancer who makes a hozen death knight. The hozen have no problem biting faces off. And much, much worse. Unlike Jinyu, who are plenty capable of being priests, shaman, warriors, Monks are just agiven here, I mean come on. Er... they're actually pretty limited too, now that I think about it. At least lore-wise. Maybe once every race gets to be every class? I'd imagine hunters? Don't take my word on that, though. The rest I can reasonably see them being as they are with no further effort from Blizzard to explain them away. It would take some explaining. The Forest Trolls might run into kinda the same problem as the skinny Kul Tirans. ...Whatever those problems are, exactly. As the males are the only ones that are big and beefy with forest trolls, for whatever reason. Also the Jinyu's model is a bit awkward in places that might make it hard to put armor onto without significant alteration, a la Nightborne but worse.
