Great vid, it's one of my favourite rides (and favourite campground at Mann river). Ahh... didn't do research? I reckon it's always a bonus to throw in some history and mystery ;) Couple of things- When you were riding due South through Newton Boyd, you were riding along The Demon Fault. It's a huge fault-line that runs North-South from Qld all the way to Ebor. If you sat-view Newton Boyd, then zoom out... you'll see it, as it's even visible from space! And the Old Grafton Road was the "highway" to Glen Innes until the Gwydir opened in the sixties!! Hairy ride up to Tommy's - not one for me and my poor, abused CB500x (17" front) - did well and I agree, down is WAY harder. Ride safe mate :)
I thought the campgrounds at Mann River were free ? Tommy's Rock lookout area has changed a bit since I was there about 3 - 4 years ago, there used to be a picnic table and chairs up there. Look like a bushfire might have went through there ?
Yea it’s advertised as “FREE”, but bookings on national parks website include a $7 admin fee or booking fee. So not exactly free in my mind 🤷🏼♂️ Uhh not too sure mate, I don’t remember seeing any remnants of a table and chairs Cheers for watching 👍🏼
Hi, thx for your video. In juli i am heading to Turkey and Georgië for 7 weeks. Normally i always sleep in a hammock. But i am not sure if i can find trees enough overthere. So i am thinking about taking a very small tent also. Is it duable ? An one person tent ? I could go a 2 person tent but then i need to give up my hammock. And that is not something i want to do. I do not like tents. Really a nice video. If i would have the money i also would buy me a Gopro and a drone. But traveling on the bike is allready costly enough. Everyday 80 Euro's for petrol alone. And investing in certain gear. I allready own a lot of gear but bough a new bike. So needed to do some changing to make it more suitable for such a trip. Also an extra set of AX41 tires shipping to an adres in Turkey in advange. Make a video how to do this without giving out money. That would be great. 🙈 What do you use ? A Gopro or a 360 thingy ? And why ? Reminds me that i also would need a chinmount on my helmet. Have fun but ride safe.🙏
