Going through all these videos of old Siege, it’s tragic that they had to sacrifice the lighting & look for the competitive side. It’s understandable why they did it. But the lighting & graphics in a shooter like this at the time is an absolute masterpiece & all the work & detail put into it but had to be thrown away. Absolutely tragic.
Absolutely! It sucks that siege sacrificed its identity in order to become more mainstream. I was ok with the cosmetics siege has added but hate the changes in balancing, lighting, and maps.
@@SledgesHammer123 I think Old Clubhouse is the only older rework you haven’t done yet, or maybe old Coastline at night with the old graphics & lighting even though it’s not all that different nowadays. Those would be pretty cool to see.
@@SledgesHammer123 It would be very nice if you play the coastline night version. By the way, it is very compatible and sweet with the minecraft music playing in the background.The coastline at night was my favourite. It's so sad that the game once looked so much better.
There's a weirdly dark and ominous feeling to these old maps, especially at night, which modern Siege lacks. This was back when they were somewhat focused on the story of the White Masks and Rainbow's creation.
They nailed the atmospheric tone of the game... It was moody, ominous and felt real. Kind of like a book where things are a bit more dramatic. A Stephen King perhaps?
This was siege, i feel like the game try to be like every other game, but siege wasn’t like every other game. It was tactical and different than other shooter games. Now it’s just so different, it’s just not the same
@@steinsbarry9490 i think year one was fun, like the consept over all, but i had the most fun playing in year 2, i think y2-y4 was peak of the game, all my friends played it, and every new op had a new gun and ability, and that was fun
One thing I miss about old Kafe is the old choir music soundtrack that used to play in the background. Ever since they took it out I haven’t been able to find it
That background song playing makes it to hurt more, it's sad to witness that you will never get a chance to play this ever again. It's sad to see that investors and authorities just care about the money not fans wants, tragically an undeniable game has gave up on more to say they won't turn a hair to fix this disastrous situation. It's a shame that good old experiences that touched us and made us to be able to escape reality will never occur again
Take me back to 2015 - early 2017 siege. To me it went to hell during Blood Orchid with Nerfla and Lesion. Outbreak was great in 2018 but after that it never felt the same. It's been 9 years... Can't believe what they did to house.
They really should add all the pre-reworked maps into the casual or custom pool, if they’re concerned about the space they could make the map low poly or like the stadium assets since they’re super simple.
Ive been playing basically since release, and for some reason i dont remember old kafe at all other than the snipers nest outside library window. The kitchen/downstairs area looks like a mess compered to how it is now damn
The game is not better now , the old rainbow six is better , it looked better and was more competitive and realistic , back then you died in one bullet , now it’s an arcade child’s game , you survive everything and kapkan trap doesn’t even do damage = speed up the game to a rush Fortnite style . Not more competitive at all
No one will see this comment but if you remember me I was the OG TheBossBrags console RU-vidr. Wasn’t that big 100k. But I lived in these times of siege and thank you to all that was there on that journey.
Wtf happened to this game, it was pure strategy and team work... I remember playing with my friends back in the old days. Now is just an other shooter... They have ruined it.
sure if that's how you play.. there can still be strategy, shield plays, vertical plays, team pushes, hard breaches, etc. it's just that everyone knows the game indepth enough now to not have to rely on those things and still win the game. Siege is still a 50/50 gunfight game at the end of the day
Watching this made me realise I forget how bad old Siege was. Playing since Closed Beta 2015 and my god did we put up with some bad map design. The amount of window peaks in Bakery for example was ridiculous.
Though no one even held bakery back then cos it wasn’t needed u could just bandit trick bakery wall and u could literally all be sitting in site I feel for back then it was completely fine though
Listen up , I can’t stand these noobs saying siege is better now , it’s NOT! Today siege is an arcade game , all damage has been reduced by 80 procent , is that more realistic ? NO ! Is that more competitive? NO , it makes the game more arcadey and noob friendly , old siege was maximum damage like insurgency sandstorm and hell let loose , it was a skill based game , that requires skill , tactics , teamwork . Today you can rush and do silly stuff , back in old siege if you rush you die immediately, they took away jaeger scope , his power , and all power , even kapkan trap is doing only 20 procent damage , you can run thru ALL of them and still be alive , old siege if you ran thru one kapkan trap you died immediately = realistic and competitive. If you rushed thru the door = you die immediately = realism and competitive. The maps was better in old siege , it was way more space and room for tactical approach = more competitive. But all these children joined the game and required nerfs , cuz they suck . I destroyed all of them , so they needed the game to change 100 procent so they could play a little , and they call that more competitive? LOL!!!!! Old siege was the best and most competitive game there was , but EVERYONE who say it’s better now that is beacuse they are truly bad and they needed 80 procent of damage to be taken away . Noobs ! You couldn’t survive one raid in old siege

Skill issue. Games evolve. Back then was good in many areas but now it is good in other areas. Headshots are instant kill which is the most realistic you get. Because if that, none of what you said matters
@@__________________-________- not true , back then it was hardcore , you died of one bullet to the chest , no downs , instant death , more recoil , kapkan trap killed immediately, so people could not rush in like Warzone childish movement , speed was also realistic not running away from death ,now it’s like Fortnite . Nobody got skills anymore , they changed the game to gain a bigger audience= arcade. They even removed all the damage form weapons and acog sights cuz the noobs where complaining . Lol back in the day was real skills . Not this child game
