Holy shit this is 3 years old…

I liked chalet even before the rework, I liked the fact that it was, in fact, a chalet in the snow😂

They spent their time reworking chalet instead of reworking the hereford rework.

I used to love playing this map at night, we really need night maps to return with better lighting, I miss them a lot

Despite how much I disliked old chalet, it still made me feel cozy tho 😌

Looking back, this is probably one of the best reworks along with Kafe & Border. Sad to see them go, but they needed to grow.

on new chalet i often run to where the old staircase was and then my brain stops working till i get shot

Fun fact: old chalet was a multiplayer map in the original r6 games.

This map is the first map I ever played in Siege. I'm gonna miss it.

I just started playing Siege Y7S4 and i REALLY wish that they had some way of playing old maps, maybe in the new permanent arcade playlist they could add a quick match with only OG versions of the maps.

This was one of my first maps that I played on...it was very different. I wish they would give you the option to play and older map version in the custom matches, for example the house when the walls were red

started the game in phantom sight, and i legit got withdrawal symptoms as you mentioned in the end with the current state of siege. this was fun. i miss this old chalet. infact, i miss this whole year.

Two years later, i watching this video and crying. So much memories about this map. I miss old maps😢.

I feel like when they rework maps, they make a bit easier for attackers to attack but still make the maps defender sided.

I remember always setting up as Tachanka behind the bar when defending Bar/Games and half the time someone would break the hatch out from under me lol

Thank you for this video! I started playing siege in laste 2019, but then i stopped three months after for personal reasons. This map was always at some small corner of my brain and I always thought there was this one tunnel like entrance to basement like Dirt in Club house or the one in Bank to server room. Lotsa memories with this map because i was always playing newcomers mode that had this map, Bank and Consulate. Got back in a month ago and hooked on it like crack since.

After they revamp every map they need an OG playlist with original first season maps with original first season operators only. I want Kapkans one hit utility back for just a day too lol

I revisited this video after trying to push 2nd floor by the old stairs and thinking it was old chalet for less than a second. nostalgia.

So many crazy things happened in that kitchen dude 😂

I DESPISED old Chalet, especially the metal stairs because there was a sound glitch where if something exploded like a grenade it would keep looping. This was also the first ever map I played on, started with a casual match in 2018.

Watching this is 2024 and omg I forgot some of the layouts like the double double door

I always felt like the upstairs needed a rework but the rest of the map was fine

Why would they destroy most of the old maps? Just look at 2:35 to 3:15... The light through the window up and to the right reflecting on the clean and smooth floor, the feeling that it's actually an abandoned chalet on snowy mountains, dusty, dark and very bright when you opened a window. R6 was the most beautiful fps game before all the shit reworks no one asked for. Look at Kafe too. Broken plates, papers on the floor, dirty floors like it would actually being a situation like this. Nowadays the maps are empty. No props, no touches to complete the atmosphere and the immersion. They ruined it.

The new Chalet is all I’ve ever known so it would’ve been so interesting to play on this old map.

I came back to siege a month or so ago and switched to mouse and man miss the old maps hopefully they bring a classic mode I’m sure it would bring some of the OGs back for some games maybe get them actually back

Ok this came up in my recommended today, right before the release of Deadly Omen, and I was so confused😂 didn’t check the video release date.

I used to love this map so much but I have reached the point where I don’t remember most of it at all

old r6 maps were realistic in design damn. Current r6 maps really feels like playground for paintball shooters tbh example, old bathroom connected to master bedroom only like house general bathroom were made. Current bathroom got 2 entrance? from Solarium and Piano but not Bedroom? demn

Its September 2021, people are still banning the new chalet ffs I've probably not even played 10 games since that stupid rework

daam i loved seige back then it was better, simpler and it was as if they really cared about the community but ubisoft made a lot of bad changes reworked a lot of maps that didnt need reworks nerfing operators below the ground and overall seige is becoming less and less enjoyable i wish i could play these maps again even just having the old HUD is good it brigs me nostagia

Siege needs to pull a WOW classic and have a version of the game that starts back at year one, with bug fixes that were problems back in those seasons. Release the new seasons people enjoyed every 2 months or so. Scrap the shit ones.

Im not mad at chale rework i loved the old one but the new one might even be better imo but what i cant grasp is why tf havent they reworked or even fucking removed tower ive met maybe 6 people who said they enjoy tower in all my years playing r6 and ive been playing since blood orchid
