Then go @BillWurtzman! My uncle LOVED the islands & he traveled fr.Scandinavia. Hawaii was expensive, he said BUT he & his family choose 2 visit Maui at least 3-4 times = LIKE PARADISE!
I went to the Old Lahaina Luau in 2007. Not much as changed, maybe except the tables? I remember sitting much lower to the ground and near the stage. The best part was arriving early and visiting the cultural "booths". Learned so much. We even got see the process for cooking the pig underground. It's worth whatever price they charge then and now. Maui was simply the most I could ask for in a trip tot he islands, somewhat rural. It was so relaxing and I truly got a sense of what the aloha spirit is and it is real.
I went to Maui as a kid, then years later my folks went back and saw the Old Lahaina Luau. I resolved if I ever went to the show, I would make sure to get some great shots of it. My video here is the result of that. Glad you got to see it and thanks for the great comments!
