Hello William. When 24” iMac came out, i bought the first one from the store, with 8gb ram. For my needs, the ram wasn’t working out. I had to get the custom order model with 16gb ram and i got 1tb ssd. Took a big loss on the first purchase with the 8gb ram. Since then, i keep using the custom M1 model. It gets thru just fine. Perhaps i can keep it long enough to absorb my initial purchase loss. It works just fine and is still zippy. Randy-Illinois
