The ipad Air may be better but very expensive and dont need all that power. I just basically need surfing web, read news, watch youtube or netflix and sometimes write an email.

Great to see some real life comparisons. It's great to see even a lowly Inspiron getting close to Apple M3 performance. I suspect we'll see much better performance from the Core Ultra chips in machines with better cooling and power mangement. Let's not forget, M3 is Apple's 3rd Gen Silicon whilst Core Ultra is Intel's 1st of the new breed. Intel's back and ready to whup some ass.
Good test. It does show that OLED on these ultrabooks may look nice, but they drag the battery life down and end up being well behind the IPS panels. I saw that with the Galaxy Book4 Edge, which was very disappointing, with 5-6 hours of SOT using a mixed workflow like yours. Also, these were on 60Hz, and my testing indicates a 10-15% loss of battery on my SP11 testing on 120Hz versus 60Hz, and that is probably why the default was 60Hz. So, I recommend the Dell XPS 13 non-OLED X Elite or the Surface Laptop 7 if you want game-changing Windows battery life.
Nice breakdown and should help people. The other factor is price. They were overpriced at launch but have dropped significantly since due to lower than expected demand and high returns. For example, in the UK, not known for deals, the Galaxy Book4 Edge is £200 off and the XPS 13 is £250 off, already. Others are discounted; and secondhand on ebay, £500 off has been sighted.
You cant really compare Samsung to Apple in ECOSYSTEM....😢 Samsung has too many options. Is this a system for just computing or whole home. Samsung has washer, dryer, tv, projector, vacuum, monitors, laptops, tablets, phones, speakers, ovens, microwaves, dishwasher, watches, rings, headphones. Apple has pretty much computer, tablet, watch, apple tv, headphones and a VR set no one can afford realistically and their phone... i couldnt possibly relate them because they appeal to almost 2 audiences on samsung and just one on apple.
Got mine with 4060 and 32 g ram. All AAA titles run smoothly on max settings. Just make sure to feed proper power. It wont run on Turbo mode without charger.
The difference. I was able to continue my whole workflow on Apple Silicon from day one while half of my programs don’t even run on the Copilot notebooks. It’s not an Apple competitor. It’s another Windows joke with a long lasting battery.
@@froschfreak1699bunch of deluded apple fanboys This SD laptops doesnt even have nativr arm suppory for most apps even before the rease Complaining on that means a pure delusional apple fanboy
@@asdbef3667Windows makes it quite easy to become an Apple fanboy. If a computer needs to be a tool to get work done an not a hobby because yo want to fiddle around with computer stuff itself… theres no way to prefer Windows on a Windows PC. It’s that easy. 😂🤷🏼♂️
The SL7 X-Plus and the M2 MB Air are comparable in performance. The base M3 MB Air 13 offers better value than the base SL7 X-Elite. Deals at B&H and Amazon can bring the Air price down to $1099 for the 16GB version. On launch, the SL7 was a poor value compared to the MB Air and is closer in price to the MB Pro 14 ($250 off in some places, same price in the UK). This is unlikely to change for a while as Microsoft rarely discounts their Surface devices in the first six months. Unlike other X-Elite devices, the Surface line competes directly with the Pro models of the MacBook. However, I understand Qualcomm’s marketing strategy of using the MB Air for comparisons. However, this comparison is not fair in the current upgrade cycle, as the M4 MacBook Pro is set to release in two months. The other X-Elite devices are cheaper and currently being discounted due to lower-than-expected sales and returns. They are comparable in price to the MB Air. Despite these issues, I still believe that if you’re considering an X-Elite, the SL7 is the best option. However, there are several compatibility problems that many people encounter. These include VPNs not working, Google Drive not working, outdated drivers for accessories, Adobe software not working, and for students, most school software is not available for ARM even under Prism. These issues may improve, but considering that Windows on ARM has existed for three times longer than Apple Silicon, I wouldn’t buy it now with the expectation that it will improve.
Hello, I need a laptop for studying object design where I use 3d programs. Which one would you recommend? Is the m3 with 8gb RAM enough? Thanks for the advice in advance, I‘m really lost here😅
The battery only lasted 3 hours? According to several reviews it should last much longer. Did you try light work at low brightness, 60hz, RGB off and dgpu inactive?
That Razer is AMD... It does not have thunderbolt. It it did there would be a major lawsuit. Diving board design trackpad is a major flaw for a high end trackpad today. That Razer is a better laptop for gaming due to the larger games library, so long as you can keep it plugged to utilize it fully. On battery you're seeing less performance than on the MacBook. The GPU in the Razer is extremely powerful but is crippled when not plugged in which i feel defeats the purpose of a portable gaming laptop.
Nah mate, people use this usually as a portable gaming setup, to use stationary and not far from a power outlet, everyone knows if you have a laptop, gaming on it will run it's battery, just as it does on a phone
@@TerrorSyxke True, gaming on it would kill the battery. For the Razer, it is idle for if you’re at a hotel or a place where you can plug in to get your game on. You also have that huge windows library. For the Mac if the game you want to play is on there then you’re not constrained to an outlet to play it. Plus you have Thunderbolt which AMD processors do not support. For me, I prefer carrying around a MacBook due to the slimmer profile and the games I play being supported.
@@dellenrules MacBooks kinda have a expiration date and are hard to repair, and if you'd wanna get it done officially, they usually charge the price of a used item of the same model so it stomps out used market, least that's what I got out of my iPhone SE 2020, wasn't a good experience with apple, just can't trust them
@@TerrorSyxke had a 2012 MacBook Pro since 2012. I used it as my daily driver until 2021. Grant it that MacBook was repairable unlike a lot of the new MacBooks today which aren’t. I always recommend buying refurbished directly from Apple and putting Apple care on it for 2 years. MacBooks are designed to last you years and although I can’t speak on your experience, my colleagues and family who use Macs have had them for years. iPhone are a different thing entirely. I am still using a iPhone 12 and a 2018 iPad Pro. Both are starting to see battery life diminish. This is why I say get Apple care. Battery replacement from Apple without it are over $200 USD. My Mac had a Thunderbolt port go bad. Sent it to Apple and got it back in 3 days fix. They also serviced and cleaned the internals replacing anything else that needed service. Haven’t had a problem with it since.
Hey, great video, you definitely covered all the relevant aspects. I just wanted to give you a heads-up about your English grammar; you might want to revise your plurals and verb conjugations a bit. Sometimes it became quite difficult to understand you. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
Hey! I would like to ask about the hinges if they have changed it? I just recently bought one although I don’t know if it’s the newer model. I had been reading reviews about the hinges being a bit delicate as to why a lot of people who had bought this laptop got their screens popping off or others
i was using a macbook M2 before switching. this is crap compared to the macbook! 5G wifi particularly. this is 2024, and i cannot believe how these horrible laptop models continue selling.
