Ive always wanted a set of The Dark. It is my favorite set ever, and contains my favorite card. Wormwood Treefolk. (Dont be a hater the art on it is killer and its a really decent card for its time) I recently went through my collection (it has been years) and realized I was literally like 15 cards from a complete set. An original Blood Moon is now the only piece I don't have left to go.

I see vintage as a "nostalgia treat" yes it can also be an investment and go up in the future but that's how I prefer to approach that market.

all ravnica remastered has going for it is shock land and there only 10$ cards it a weak set far from how good dominaria remastered was and that set crashed. i think ravnica need time to see if it will hold up i honestly think it will crash given time

For collectors and bag holders its a good time in MTG. Don't be in a hurry though, prices are going to continue to decline, as external economic forces like student loan repayment date and the coming economic slowdown have not had their effects on the market YET.

I remember opening many boxes of The Dark back in the 90s. I love my Maze of Ith. I still use them today in commander decks.

Why would I want a set of the dark sitting in my closet? Set was mostly trash and no one outside of a few timmies would give a shit. I would just feel like a timmy every time I look at them or have to move cards I'm not playing with.

I like the lower prices of the old vintage cards and will continue to purchase them as collectibles. I think the newer products will do better as collectibles in case their print run will be reduced. The dark is also on my list as set to collect.

We'll see. Play Boosters seem reasonable for people who bought Set Boxes, but are absolutely ridiculous for people who bought Draft Boxes. Rudy Draft boxes $89 Rudy Play Boosters $120(?) Karlov Manor openings aren't exactly on par with openings from Standard sets that had bonus sheets...so that price increase just to play limited is a fugging joke.

"Cleanse" (from Legends) is the sensitivity card -- Cleansing (from The Dark) is not. Nothing from The Dark is one of the "sensitive" cards.

I'm thinking of using pcg card grading but theres not a ton of return openings or anything and the population reports seam low. Is everything okay over there?

Wizard should release a box with package of cards. Where all the cards in each pack are the same. You can only order from.them the entire box. The same size as a booster. There are collectables variants, however the scarcity is at least 36 times that of a standard booster. This is because of the redundancy of duplicates will shred the secondary market value. The rest of the actual set is found in another product line entirely.

i think some collectors invest purely on art and what the magic brand has done in its lifetime. for vintage magic to fall off of the earth something awful would have to take place. for example i used to own a pair of livestrong oakley sunglasses that went from 290 bucks to 2 dollars and 90 cents lol get my drift.. livestrong was the lance armstrong brand

My 2c is WOTC has adopted the video game & movie economy i.e., you pay a premium for new releases and then 6-12 months on, you get the product for ~half the new release price. Nothing wrong with that and no one buying video games has a problem with it. The only way new releases don't collapse in value as the last couple of years' have done is WOTC cuts the print run by ~50% which frankly makes no economic sense for Hasbro. Their financials would get decimated and for what? To attract the speculator customer base back to buying product with the hope of appreciation? Huge short-term pain for Hasbro to do that for unknown longer term gain.

Love the extended video. Just saying, all the content creators I've been watching are going bullish on all magic. Not just new but, sorry Rudy, also old and reserve list. I think it has a lot to do with the shorter print runs. Definitely evident for the cat and dogs secret lair, but they are doing shorter print runs across the board because it helps wotc's bottom dollar. Older magic is not gonna make you rich though, just buy the cards you've always wanted and hold or play and enjoy. Best advice ever given to me, BRING A FRIEND TO MAGIC!

C) I've always wanted true duals still want a playset of each. Invest wisely first then spend any extra money on anything you damn well please!

Maybe the new whales are into Magic because it's all the new young people that came in that stayed and are becoming whales, who cares about old magic if you didnt experience it or have not taste for the history?
