I can't believe that there are actually people who move into the neighbourhood of farms and then complain about the noise and smells and demand that the work there be adapted to the quiet hours of a housing estate. Farms are economic areas where people also live. But they are still primarily economically utilised areas. It is idiotic to demand that they adapt to residential areas. For anyone who can't understand this - replace the term "farm" with "industrial harbour". There is loading and unloading around the clock, 24/7, and ships come and go. Imagine what it would be like to set up an HOA in the immediate vicinity and then demand that work there only takes place during the working week and then only from 10 am to 6 pm. Businesses dependent on deliveries would get into trouble and ships with perishable goods would be stuck at sea. That would be a complete disaster. If someone moves into the neighbourhood of a farm, they move next to a production facility and have to live with the fact that their first priority there is work and not living, because other businesses (e.g. grocery shops) also depend on it. That's it.

Related to the litter bug. I worked nights as a field tech (mid 90s). I stopped at Dennys near an University and it was half full of drunk kids. There was also several county Mounties and state troopers. Several of the kids drunkenly harassed the cops. Cops finished, paid and went out. The drunks waited before they left. As soon as the drunks started their cars, the cops lit up, DUIs for all the drivers, passengers under age and belligerent drunks all arrested. Polite near drunks were told to leave. Rest of the folks that were tired of their antics in the restaurant thought it was hilarious. Don’t call attention to yourself if you’re drunk

Sounds like you had quite an arrangement job there. There is always somebody who tries to tear up what someone else has done. I think I would have complained as well. Please forgive yourself! When my dog (110 pound GSD/Black lab muix) ran off, he was gone for 3 days. I did everything wrong to get him to return. Now I know. I put fliers in the mailboxes, and my dog ran off while we were out in the country about 15 miles from home. Thanks to the mail carrier calling to say my dog was walking down the middle of the road, dragging his leash. When he saw my car, he jumped in the passenger window. He turned into a velcro dog after that.

Trust me if you didn't press charges em did not learn her lesson. There will be somebody else's house with somebody's pool that she tells her friends is hers while they are away. And when the owners come home she'll pull the exact same thing again because she wasn't punished for the first time. I worked at one place, related to local governent, I was invited to stay on, but I felt it was time to get out, turned out, the next week the boss had robbed the place after hours when he knew no-one would be around, and blamed a few of the workers, almost got two arrested, they luckily had complete alibi's. I believe I was one of his original targets, I just got out before he could execute his crime. Not exactly a quitting story but a wise escape. The place was then ran by another guy that had previously worked there as the head of the workers.

In no way was that the proper procedure for police work. There is no way a police officer should say well you got your item back and they have a child. Nobody is above the law whether they have a child or not, nobody is above the law whether they are a parent or not.

speaking of house #'s. Back in '02 the county decided to have everyone use the say style house #. I mear they looked on line found one they liked and wrote their little law. Only one problem the company they found it at does not make them. The fools didnt know how to use internet so they didnt read the fine print found on another page saying not all styles are available. In point of fact there is to this day and never has been a company that makes them. The thing is still on the books but nothing can be done b/c of that error and so we have whatever we feel like having. I have eight inch Now Roman I made of wood and paint each of the 4 #' a dif color. Oh but those colors clash and so u can read them with ease. Left more then one job b/c of bad management. One was in a restaurant five min b/f opening on a fir night. The job paid very well with tips (in '75 if I did not leave at closing with at least $50 in tips) but this guy was just too verbal abusive and he tried doing it to me once to often. I say tried b/c I would just keep working as he went off.
