If you liked this, you may wish to check out some of his other songs -- most are based around video games, and they all have a different approach, but the wordplay and lyrics are always top notch and are all done with impeccable talent. Some of my favorites are his 'The Toybox / Poppy Playtime' song, 'Fine Print / Outer Worlds' song, and his 'Fiend Like Me / Evil Genius 2' song. His 'Ad infinitum / Deltarune' song is also a master class in lyrics and wordplay, but a word of warning, as that song is specifically intended to be unhinged, off the rails, and somewhat nonsensical. Some people have described it as a six-minute musical anxiety attack!
I subbed and likes, WELCOME to the Stupendium's community!!!! I wish that you will react to The Stupendium MORE!!! PS: its not group but use they/them The Stupendium is non-binar almost everything is made by the Stupendium/Greg Holgate. We are very supportive to the Stupendium's reactiors :)
The Stupendium's work is really top notch, not just for the amazing music, and lyricism, but because of the excellence of the video accompaniment. Like, when I say his work is top notch, I mean that he basically carved out a couple new notches above everyone else.
Stupendium made an instant fan of me, and it's great to see new people enjoy their stuff. The one that hit me most deeply (and made me buy the game because it was so beautiful) was Shine Through (life is strange true colors song). It was an absolutely breathtaking song about dealing with loss, depression and how you need to find people who can be your support so that you can let your light Shine Through. ("Family trees don't need be organic, the branches you graft are equally valid...") No ones home - if you're in a mood for a song about totalitarian regimes taking over the world It's a joy! - Also totalitarian regime, but using hippy-style drugs to control people rather then fear. The Data Stream - for Capitalism run amok in a future America. Fiend like me - for a silly James Bond Villain style song. Death and Taxes - bureaucracy takes over the afterlife. and finally A Pizza The Action - 80's rock anthem that takes place in a haunted Chucky Cheese's style pizzeria.
Stupes loves experimenting with different styles so the other songs are absolutely worth a watch. Most are related to video games so some context helps, but they're usually done so well that it isn't required. I'd recommend Death and Taxes for one that can be enjoyed totally context free, but they're all ear-worm bops really.
It was great seeing you have such a fun time hearing this song! This singer has three other songs I like, which are: Ad Infinitum The Toybox Why Did I Say Okie Doki
@@skyknight2233 Absolutely. It's probably the only video of Stupendium that my dad told me he didn't want to watch it because it was too stupid and loud. Toy box and Ad Infinitum are probably my least favorites to be honest.
@Skyknight223 ya that song while great is really complicated for people not aware of how the game its based off works. Literally any other song is a great choice.
Looking forward to more Stupendium reactions from you! ^^ Some of their songs are very Bo Burnham-ish, tbh. You know, in the sense that they're about the more dystopian aspects of our society, and where our societies are headed, presented through the lens of them being fan songs dedicated to various games. All in all, I think you'll enjoy this ride. Not least of all because Stupes is crazy good at wordplay (as they practically tell you out loud in "Chairman of The Board").
I love this guy, and I hope you check out his Chairman of the Board, Chairman Rolls Again songs, as they are about Board Games you are probably familiar with and are crazy good raps and flow. The other thing I think you would enjoy is his A Matter of Facts song
Absolutely love the stupendium and their songs!! Absolutely incredible and certainly would love to see more of them. Pretty much every one of their songs is in a different style so you'll 100% find some interesting content with them
I would recommend staying to listen to the endings as well, he always stays in character throughout the entire video, both the intro and outro included. Anyways, one I liked is "Room for Improvement", "Why Did I Say Okie Doki", and most definitely "The Toybox"
@@CrackmiserGaming ok spamton pfp frisk is they/them Kris is they/them napstablook is they/them mew mew is transfem alphys is gay undyne is gay noelle is gay cry about it
@@jimmymdjjdnd7338 damn now im the one crying? kris and whatever aren't "nonbinary" they strictly don't have genders because Toby Fox wants you to connect the player with the protagonist of an RPG, big shocker. As of undyne and noelle and alphys, yeah fuck em. napstablook i mean wth there aren't even like 10 lines about napstablook in the game so ok. just because mad puppet fused into mew mews body doesn't mean a god damn thing, your so desperate.
If youre going to do more Stupes, Heres a list of some of my favourties - Out of the Toybox -The Fine Print -Art of Darkness (really recommend this one) -Shine Through -Why did I say Okie Dokie -Ad Infinitum(Definietely read the description of the video on this one as it needs the context)
I love this guy, and I hope you check out his Chairman of the Board, Chairman Rolls Again songs, as they are about Board Games you are probably familiar with and are crazy good raps and flow. The other thing I think you would enjoy is his A Matter of Facts song. I agree with others that Why Did I Say Okie Doki is amazing as well, but I think you might connect a little more with the ones I suggested. Great reaction.
What a fun reaction! I'm always keeping a look out for new Stupendium reactions 💚 and I'm glad to have found yours. I look forward to seeing more! My current fav Stupendium is No One's Home. But if you want an awesome 80's rock anthem check out A Pizza the Action.
So dark deception is free for the first chapter maybe you should give it a try on the channel. This song is based on it and lyrics are both based on the story and the theories behind it since the game isn’t finished yet
This was so fun to watch! I am going to do like everyone else and list some favourites, and our combined recommendation can hopefully help you pick the next song. Number 1 has to be The Toybox (Poppy Playtime song). Extremelly well made and a similar tone as in this current video. Then we have Fiend Like Me (Evil Genious 2 song). Really funny lyrics and puns. Rest Employed (Death and Taxes song) is also great and deals with the afterlife. A personal favourite that may be a little more serious than the others is The Data Stream (Cyberpunk 2077 song). Now I need to stop before I list all their songs!
This one was a pleasant surprise, check out "A Pizza the Action" and "Toybox" by them next! I also have a ton of respect for The Stupendium by not hitting you with a copyright claim and leaving you a positive comment instead!
Gotta agree with one of the other commenters, "The Chairman of the Board" would be a great one to react to. Also for fun would recommend checking out "A Little Heart" which is a described as 60-disney-songs-in-one. Great reaction, Stupes' sense of humor and fantastic videos are worth seeing new folks reacting to them.
Oh and the vast majority of his songs are related to video games. But, you seem to be totally open to trying all kinds of stuff. I would also strongly recommend Dan Bull - Far Cry Primal and his Matter of Facts songs. I think you did his Civilization 6 rap a while back.
Would love to see you check out Billy Strings’ cover of Dylan’s Don’t Think Twice it’s Alright. I think you’d really enjoy it (he’s the same guy who did Dust in a Baggie from a few months ago). Cheers from Chicago!
Do, do more Stupendium.. Even though almost all of them are based on videogames, the songs themselves explain the synapsis.. + they are good songs (and way too much effort is put on music videos)
