Saw one of these exact RVs abandoned in a forested part of NM last week under some trees and immediately I thought of this one, glad to see an update on it!
I have a 89 the exact same RV I bought mine for 2000$ I got lucky mine don't leak and was really really well taken care of and extremely clean. It needed breaks when I got it that's all other than oil n fluid changes that it needed. I bought it off a older guy that had it since new. They bought a brand new one he wanted 2500 I talked him down to 2000$ Cause that's about all they are worth unless they are in extraordinary shape then 3000$ max. Any higher walk away they aren't worth it.
You should look into one of those min tubing cutters, works on up to 1/2” pipe, especially nice to use under the truck and under the kitchen sink. Nice RV!
I can’t wait for the next RV road trip video. These are my favorites. But how to get a little more power from? New carb? Plugs? Timing? Tiny shot of nitrous for steep hills 🙂
Great vid bud. Think you need to put a rubber sheath or some other durable cover around that copper pipe, think vibration is going to very quickly wear a hole on it where it goes through that hole in the frame. PS To think that vehicle was "luxury" in 70's / 80's is hilarious now. Regards from South Africa.
My old Winnebago was the same as long as the batteries were charged it would fire up very easily. Have you ever done a video of the solar set up on the house??
Yup. Nice to the ole girl still running. My finger prints probably all over that sending unit. May have mention this before but I'm goin to say it again. I started workin for fleetwood in '87'.( still there). 1st job was to drop temp gas tank & put in bigger one and sending unit. 😁
So what exactly do you plan to do with said bounder before or after its trip? If your maybe willing to sell or maybe a trade, I might be interested cause i have an 84 Allegro 26 foot motorhome that just needs some love but has a strong 454 in it with 48,000 miles
Haha me and my girl are looking at the same exact type of RV it has 40 thousand miles but sat for 15 years.. my girl is in love with this RV but I'm like it need a lot of work plus roof damage..please back me up cause I'm a tell you her sadness is guilt tripping me into buying the damn thing...
Jesse Pinkman: How about you pick some of these chemicals and mix up some rocket fuel? That way you could just send up a signal flare. Or you make some kind of robot to get us help, or a homing device, or build a new battery, or... Wait. No. What if we just take some stuff off of the RV and build it into something completely different? You know, like a... Like a dune buggy. That way, we can just dune buggy or... a HA! So you're building a robot! VT247
Yoo I’m gonna keep commenting about these bypass oil filters til I see you make a video with installing one.. and then I’ll comment about other shit but should make your Diesels run better you never know if these previous owners changed the oil on time I mean theyre selling them super cheap for a reason … could even put a lil bit of sea foam in the crank case and change the oil with one of them bypass filters and it’d be like a wash cycle on the engine..
Everyone's thoughts breaking bad TV series wish people could see passion in fixing up junk sad when I find them vehicles parts or harder to repair nice things to get have mobil bug out or shelter for shelter eat work sleep
So what's this about the oil level? Full is full weather it's been run or not. Yes I know oil will creep up the dipstick that's why you always pull it out wipe it off then check the oil
Leave an engine sitting for a year, check the oil. Then run it and check it again. It will be much lower after it has been run, happens to me everytime. No idea why but it has always happened speaking from like 10 different cars
