TMNT the arcade game. Had good memories with that. My grandmother took me to the nearest Toys R Us, a good 30 minute drive north, to buy it for me for Xmas...but she let me keep it and just said take it and play it. Then, I remember when the Gulf War started and CNN announced the iraq war had begun I was on the last boss of the game and had to pause it and run downstairs to watch the news with my mom. Odd memory to have, but it stuck with me.

Batman on the NES is criminally underrated. It's never mentioned with the best games on the system but it has everything.

Couldn't agree more! Batman is one of my favorites. Its one of the first games I bought when I got back into collecting NES games.

An escape from the typical modern day developers with their built in micro transaction systems in games, milking franchises to death, & pretty much guaranteed plug & play, instead of long install before you can play the bug ridden mess!

That’s only if you choose to play live service games my friend. & I can download a game and play it in 10 minutes. Tired of this “everything used to be better” mentality. It was fun then but it’s only gotten better
@paranoidgenius9164

@@samsouders2963 I prefer physical media myself where you can see it there & you know it's real & genuine, with downloads of full games, you don't get what you can touch & feel. Final pressed disc games were quite reliable when it came to being bug free & being quite satisfied with it. Unlike downloadable content which hasn't been thoroughly tested & may well trigger unintended functions.

Better than bland open world games with filler content

It may not be a popular opinion but I wholeheartedly agree. They are only in the "visual experience with a lot of flash" business. I don't know. Just feel like they lost the point some time ago
@paranoidgenius9164
@paranoidgenius9164 2 дня назад
@@samsouders2963 everything you download & installed can get lost with malfunctioning hard drives, or corrupted update, patches can be installed that might not work, it's more like, you play a game at their discretion. You may not have been born during the main popularity of physical media & I used to work with PCs, & now console hardware is now quite similar in construction, disc, drive, hard drive, & upgradables Yes, technology keeps improving & getting easier & simpler to use......well it's supposed to anyway, but the act of loading in a disc, & loading save files from memory card, that nostalgia is rapidly fading. I agree with people disagreeing with "how things were better than they are now" even though I find modern tech a bit of a headache at times, & everything I knew before, means nothing now. I wait for the days with tears in my eyes that physical media will truly die out. Remember though, if a game requires the Internet to play you a technically playing at the game company's discretion, & not your own. I prefer physical media over downloaded media to do with game collecting, I will still play downloaded content but I won't hold it in the same regard as something you can hold in your hands.

If ya like live-streams of games Darby of Blue Television Games streams Super Mario Maker 2 on most Sundays 'Church time' and on most Tuesdays he does a stream of usually lots of classic games from lots of classic video games systems suggested by lots of people in the chat 'watching the stream'. He keeps his YT family friendly so kids can enjoy and he shows his pets two of which is a dog with a Mario character name and he posts his streams/vids on both Facebook/Twitter encase people wants to watch again or didn't get to watch live 'he been on vacation this week if ya see this now but just this week'.

The narrator for that commercial was none other than James Avery, or as we all know him, Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bell Air, or Shredder from TMNT.
