Been a Stern fan for decades, ignored these guys out of blind loyalty. It's refreshing to hear someone bash Stern for a change. Stern can dish it but he cannot take a lick at all.

I was forced (not saying that in a bad way, just near-literally) to listen to O&A for a couple of years during the walk-over time. I liked it, a lot of the time they were funny, but maybe I was too young to remember it that much (today I would say Patrice is the funniest dude that’s ever lived). After that, I had to listen to Stern for years, during the Artie years. I have to say I liked the Stern Show more, especially Artie, and Sal and Richard. However, O&A with guys like Patrice, Jim and Colin (when listening today) was hilarious. But I think Stern was overall a better show, and I think Opie was a large part of that. Stern could sit there with a megaphone imitating his parents for an hour straight and it was hilarious (not to mention the guys sending him jokes, or Artie, in interviews etc). Basically it’s like Opie versus Robin, who brought less to the show. Robin is worse, but when you have dudes making crazy cover parodies about her she comes out on top.
It would have robbed us of a decade of amazing radio and it would have taken another 15 years to realize Hoo hoo was a giant phony ,fraud. What do you think they would have done a show together? He's never done that for friends, bc who has or would, what makes you think he'd do it with O&A?
They are just superior to Howard. He lost it at some point man. Fred doesn't even do drops . Fred will do one every now and again like the past fifteen yrs and bits. Well. They suck. It's real. They are better and funnier always have been
Howard is done. Everybody's salary was cut. Way to take care of your people. Howard thought his whole audience from FM, would come to Sirius. WRONG! Just look at the stock. FAILED
But the problem with O&A and a lot of the other shock jocks is Howard Stern has talent and did the shock thing the best. I think Howard Stern was smart knowing that both O&A would just self destruct and in the end Howard won. Opie still talks about Howard Stern on his shit podcast and Anthony still talks Stern on Compound Media Hiring Artie Lange, bringing in Jackie and John on as guests to talk about Howard Stern. They were always abscessed and even when both were working for the same company wanted Howard to give them some accolades or a thumb up, but Howard Stern gave O&A nothing and that bothers them to this day. O&A Show is dead and The Howard Stern Show is longer funny. Howard Stern will always be the best at Shock Jock Radio.
