If you own a welder, there is no better time than now to make sure the entire frame is perfect. Everything else is secondary. But if the frame isn't very good, you will have troubles down the road for sure. Take the needed time and work every portion of the trailer until it is rebuilt like new. So easy to do now than have to work on it later to fix something you didn't fix at this time. Thumbs Up for this project. I'll watch for sure...

Ouch. Looks rough , hope you are able to weld. I’m working on a 19 ft camper trailer frame as we speak. Putting new boards down. So much labor lol

When reinstalling floor invert floor boards.. They will have a better surface .. Almost new condition. Cut the stakes off at the top of their old pocket depth. Remove the bottom side boards. Measure the new stake stick out to fit into stake pockets to a depth equal to their old pocket depth. Rip saw the removed bottom boards to a longitudinal width to compensate for the removed stake trims and allow enough stake stick out to fit as the original stick out. The sides will sit a few inches lower but you will save having to replace the expensive pressure treated lumber of your trailer. You will have to modify the end gate ramp latch pin receiver..The gate slot ul have to be lowered a few inches... but that can be included in the welding portion of your trailer rehab. When all the welding is done, brush on two thick coats of rust paint. A roller is also a good method for the fenders and long flat areas of the frame. Start with the trailer flipped over with axle facing up. Work the paint into all the nooks and crannies springs, axle and hangers. Best to remove hubs and mask off the axles to effect a cleaner job. When second coat is dry flip frame upright and apply two coats to the remaining unpainted areas. Do the same flip and paint on the mesh end gate. One full gallon should do the whole frame, end gate and axle. While waiting for the frame paint to dry apply two coats of linseed oil to all wood surfaces. Best results if wood is clean and dry. Buy a gallon.. Repeat every Fall. The saw cuts you make, and the cuts made previously, should be painted with the proper pressure treated lumber cut treatment. Your lumber yard will fix you up with a quart if you explain your repair. All screws and hardware used to reassemble the wood portions should be rated for use with pressure treated lumber. They are usually green or brown in color denoting a coating that resists corrosion due to reaction with the wood treatment used on the pressure treating process. Trailer wiring can be run through a conduit . Clear 1" tubing is ideal for this. Loop clamps can be constructed from empty soda/ beer cans. Looped around the tubing and secured with self tapping screws the 1/2 " wide loops are an economical option to commercially manufactured hangers. To prevent water and debris from entering conduit after wire is fished through... cap ends with a generous amount of silicone sealant. Have revamped too many utility trailers to recall. But once given a new life.. They give decades of service if regular maintainence Is performed. Best to you and yours.

Check to make sure that temp spare wheel will actually fit your trailer. It’s meant to fit a car and cars usually have a different bolt diameter than trailers.

Would be a good how to if it had audio that you could hear . video work well done.

I'm surprised it made it to your house riding on those maypops. P.s. paint the wood with used motor oil you'll get a few more years out of the wood bed
