Okay folks, I know a lot of you cannot resist a chainsaw comparison. As I say during the video, I have seen a ton of these on RU-vid!
Here Is my first episode. Many more will follow!
I actually did take the time to measure the cutting time of each saw on each cut and developed an average. I would love to see in the comments who you think was the winner overall. After four or five days, I will post my results.
So check back, after this coming weekend, and I will have my numbers in the comments.
Remember, this is all in good fun, and we're talking about hundreds of a second. You know how I feel about that, lol! Thanks again for watching, as always, and please subscribe if you haven't done so already!

They say the new saws are better because they produce less emissions and that's fair enough, but if the saw only cuts half the of the wood before it's dead and a new one has to be produced then what have we achieved?

I love my Husqvarna 266SE. Finally found a chain break that works. Once you get it dialed in the saw just works.

I have that same Husqvarna 266SE if you will adjust your carburetor while you’re running it, it will snap too in the cutting. That one is kind of bogging down. It’s not really on top of the power curve. I can tell by listening to it that it’s just not at its peak performance, and all that is is adjusting the carburetor with that little screwdriver through the side cover to the carb. It will get it on if you’ll just adjust it a little. I bought mine in 1982. I paid $600 for it and I have no idea how many bars and chains I’ve gone through and all I’ve done is clean it and just keep adding oil for the bar and gas to the tank. It is an amazing saw. I’ve never even had to change the original pull start cord. But I’ve always been good at taking care of it and cleaning it. I can’t say enough about Husqvarna. They make an amazing saw. The reason I originally bought it was because I came from a logging community in Washington state and all the best Fallers that’s what they used because if they ever had to do any kind of work on them it was 1/8 the cost and 1/8 the time to tear a Husqvarna down and rebuild it versus stihl. That’s probably changed a little bit today on the price of the parts but the time was the big deal for the guys that were working in the woods they just couldn’t afford any downtime. But they’re both good size that stihl is no slouch.

You will have to do another test in about thirty five years to see if the Stihl is still running. The newest Stihl I own is an MS460, I don't like a tool to be smarter than me.

How can I tell a SE from a XP without a nameplate?
@thebradleysoncatbirdhill6849
You may find some designation on the cylinder shroud or clutch cover. Other than that, there really is no way. THe SE meant "special edition", and that was common in the first production run of that saw class (also for the 268) in the early 80's. For the second run in 85-87, they switched to "XP".

500i is 80 some cc isnt it the 266 is 67. Nazi saw lovers always do this put their new incredible adolf specials vs husqvanas from the 80’s or mccullochs from the 60’s of course your jew cutter cuts faster.
