With all the BS going on in our world these days this is my new favorite channel. No BS, no political views,no vax shaming,no content that will offend 500 different genders,, just a pure enjoyable blissfulness of sheet metal heaven.
Absolutely great video, thanks. Some of those old modified's reminded me of when we lived in Escanaba, MI. We used to go to the races there to watch the modified's and the full bodied hobby cars race back in the late 60's and early 70's.
Keep em coming mmc enjoying these pics of ol stock cars. Racing is nothing like it use 2B. People has definitely changed the world 4 what they want it 4.
At 3:38 is the #97 of Gil Hearne at the Old Bridge Speedway in New Jersey. I think this is the car that was destroyed in a fire at the Islip Speedway later in the 1961 season.
Anybody know if the old topless cars were actually convertibles or did they just cut the top off. I know some early nascar cars like used at Daytona were real convertibles but not sure about dirt track/short track cars
