James O'Brien was the composer of this entire campaign. I was lucky enough to work with him at the time as a sound engineer and sound designer. It was all recorded in Santa Monica - I remember watching him record some of these. The company was called Element music.
I never saw this full commercial. It always was cut to where he walked out of the dinner and said how she is all set. Must have been a super bowl commercial for it to be so long. Love it! They should bring him back or re incision “the now network” best Sprint commercials!
I vaguely remember this commercial but I do remember it...this commercial had to be like 2002-2003ish I was 6-7 yrs old then and just seeing the old red symbol next to that italicized times new Roman sprint logo font and then just seeing the pin drop just sends me back I used to think the pin was actually a peice of a cell phones antenna lol!! But its a pin lol ...I miss the old sprint logo..
I remember this! This was when Sprint was SPRINT! Now, everything is about unlimited data (with unlimited buffering)! It was such a good carrier at the beginning.
I first signed up with Sprint PCS in 1998. The network was still new at the time. I activated my phone in Orange County, and when I went home to Long Beach, I had no service.
For anyone who cares, his name is Brian Baker, and he's married to Terr Farrell (one of the actresses from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and the series Becker).
@camiller2007 It reaches 230 million people, meaning 230 million people can get a connection if they tried, including babies and mentally handicap people. They still don't have 230 million customers and they probably never will.
ive seen that guy a couple times. he lives in my town in Hershey PA and he is going to be in one of our plays in our playhouse with his wife from Becker.
I got this same CD when I first signed onto Sprint in the Spring of 2003. My first phone was the Samsung N400. Of all the phones I've had since then that one was still my favorite....Also interesting they stress voice quality back then. Now it's all about data. Apparently we Americans don't like talkig to each other.
When I was growing up, I always thought he was the voice of Cornfed from Duckman until I found out years later he wasn't. He sounds just like him though.
lol thanks. i just know when me and my friend be at baseball practice and we use this old baseball bat and throw it in the air. it bounce like the pin and we shout out sprint commercial lol its funny i just had to watch the commercial again lol. this commercial is good times right here lol
i think that sprint should start putting these dvds inside with the cell phone again it make the customer feal good knowing that when they buy a good phone a good network comes with it, one that they can depend on to always make the call go through no matter what and ps i love the pin drop and sprint is defenately a good network
I met this guy Brian Baker, he had just took up with Terry Farrell, Apparently he was living in his car, ready to leave LA , and his Agent forced him to make the sprint audition and History!...Terry recently took up with Spocks son. nothing lasts!
@@cinewillp6391 I apologize… I’m just seeing your response. Hoping you know I meant no offense. Maybe things got bad and he didn’t show it. One thing I will tell you is that he was, and I’m sure still is, an incredible human being❣️ Extremely kind soul and always genuine. We miss him in our office. Sending you and yours a fantastic week 😀
hilarious because although i love sprint for my unlimited talk/text/data....the phone quality is horrendous and my cell service is spotty. i couldn't hear a truck drop let alone a pin.
