Gorgeous! I really love the older house with a modern extension thing, it adds so much character and story to the house. Makes it feel like a real place rather than just a plopped down build.
This house is absolutely gorgeous!! I've been loving this older style with the modern accents that you've been doing on the island! I'd definitely love to see you mix up and maybe even add a few new clubs to your save file! I literally never use the EA created ones! :D
I agree that Bjorn and Clara come across as incompatible. In my legacy save I imagined they'd be the high school/college sweetheart couple who stayed together out of comfort and I made Bjorn cheat on Clara with my sim Camilla. But they stay married for appearances. Haha but anyway I am absolutely in love with this build! The modern extension really brings it together and contrasts the traditional rooms but in a very pleasant way ❤ Also hope you have a wonderful new year!
Clara and Bjorn are divorced in my game save, Clara has a successful life after the divorce, she became a pastry chef (level 8 of the culinary career I think) and owner of a 5 star family restaurant on the dock of Brindleton Bay called Captain's Table. Clara is seeing someone but her family and her restaurant come first. She also has full custody of Sofia and Elsa, they are very well mannered and responsible kids. Although Sofia has lack of emotional control now as a young adult, she didn't deal with her parents' divorce very well and she definitely didn't accept her father's behavior after the divorce. So Clara is a happy woman who has moved on and she's living her life to the fullest now. Bjorn on the other hand is a despised sim in my game save. He had a mid-life crisis, left his wife for a young woman Ashley who is slightly older than his daughter Sofia, he's head over heel in love with her, Ashley is too naive to realize what they did to Clara was wrong. Bjorn is her first serious boyfriend. The children did visit their father on occasion and stayed for a sim week at a time. The relationship Sofia has with Ashley is in full red and they are enemies, Sofia had the time to complete half of her mischief aspiration milestones by being nasty to her stepmom. Yeah, Sofia can't stand her, she can't stand the fact that the chick is 22-ish and dates her dad. Shortly after Ashley moved in, she noticed that Bjorn seems to be quite careless about everything, and doesn't have any goal in life. So I don't know what to do with that storyline yet. That's how I ended my story with these 2 households for now. It was hilarious to play with them and they are much more interesting to me as a townies now. Although I should think of them as two of my main households because I did invest so much in their stories. Edited: typos.
@@sisterssayer6666 I do rotational play so I have pretty much played with the majority of EA's premade households. One of the reasons why I play this way is because I like to build in the game, especially community lots, so I play with a household for a sim season (14 sim days) or longer to test my builds then once I feel like their story is complete for the time being I move on to the next household, I do it also to understand what their personalities are to build personalized houses/apartments for them. It's really fun.
whenever i see simmers building basements im like “omg that’s so cool i would love a basement like that” but i know for damn sure if i had one i would be the biggest wuss and never go down there, dark basement=haunted or “im suddenly part of a horror movie help”
I really love how half the build is a traditional Hamptons stone cottage and the other half is all contemporary glass architecture. It really does remind me of the multi-million dollar renovated cottages out along Southampton or Montauk that overlook the New York Bight or Peconic Bay.
For the family, even if he's a slob and she's a perfectionist, they can still work. My parents are somewhat similiar. My mom is more of a perfectionist while my dad is not necessarily a slob, but isn't as neat as my mom would like him to be. It irritates her, but their other more compatible traits make up for it. Which, personally, makes more realistic sense to me when playing the sims. Not every trait is going to be compatible with each other and that's okay. 😊 Edit :: I kinda figured Bjorn was in the garden gnomes because he was interested in creating a garden for Clara but didn't know where to start. Also, the Leage of Adventurers is just a kids club. Not much else, I think it's cute.
I'm in love with this build and I think is my favorite so far! I kinda imagine this would be a Bjorn family home and Clara tried to add the modern touches to look more like her too. And I think they are THE appearence couple, Bjorn being a secret agent kinda looks like it.
So pretty! I feel the same way about the modern houses in the Windenburg island, I like them but I think a rustic tudor is more fitting. I hope you make more of these!
yeahh please include the floorplans! I always have trouble figuring out floorplans and i need some inspo. btw this is my FAV build of yours and I never miss an upload!! you're so cool, never stop doing the sims, this channel is awesome!!!!
Hayley Williams for the floor plans i had troubles with fitting rooms bc i usually do small houses, so now i start with the second floor doing all the bedrooms and toilet, then i do the stairs and then i have like 90% done - stairs do your floorplan for you!
i LOVE old homes with modern extensions, i even have your previous two in my game from months ago. I'm excited to see what you'll come up with for the final modern extension homes on the island.
I think changes to the clubs would be fine! Also, please please PLEASE build a tiny house if you can!! I would love to see your take on a tiny house. If the tiny house doesn't seem to work for you, maybe some other sort of build associated with sustainable living- converted shipping containers seem like they would suit the island!!
Love this house! Regarding the clubs in the game, I think you should totally do a bunch of different clubs and do different members and switch up requirements and names and create your own! The only one that I would like to stay is the paragons, or if you created a new one that is similar to that group!
Ok so first, this is such a AMAZING build & I feel like you can change all of the club's. Another park would be cool, just it could a dog park or something to switch it up a bit. (Personally I always add a kids club in my game) I also like the idea of a modern extension, I've never even though to do that before.
Amazing! So beautiful. I don't know what your profession is but I feel like you'd make a great interior designer. You really understand home styles, working with what you have, and building a space around the people who live there. Keep up the awesome work!
This house is soooo beautiful! I'm absolutely in love!! I can't even put it in to words. Also P.S. the League of Adventurers is a Kids-Only club! It's only rules is that only child-sims can join and they like to play on the playground equipment and explore. It's soo adorable xx
I haven't even watched the whole video yet, but as soon as I heard "Bjergsen" I literally screamed. They're probably my favourite premades in TS4 (excluding Clara, I never really liked her as much as the others, I once had Clara be really mean to Elsa because I imagined she wanted to profit from her daughter's academic success and Bjorn was fed up with it, so they divorced... in the meantime, Sofia keeps being AWESOME, surely my favourite townie ever). As for clubs (btw, the League of Adventurers is just the children club), do whatever you want, nothing can possibly go wrong, given the way you're handling the save (I might seem ironic. I'm not.). I would love bikes and other "small means of transport" (I think cars would be useless because we don't have open worlds), but mainly a skill revamp. Different types of fitness-related skills (for example boxing with the punching bag, basketball or skating/ice skating) and new careers (or at least more depth) for the minor skills like dancing and photography (they're SO bland right now).
Thank you so much for this comment! I love your ideas! I completely agree, I hope they add more to those skills and current careers! And I can definitely see Clara being kinda mean! 💜💜💜💜
I can’t wait for your save file omg. My game is already full of your builds but I can’t wait to see what you do for an entire save file! You are such an incredible builder and I love listening to you during these videos.
A family friend has a house like this, with the old part of the house and the new one, but rather than black and white they did their modern rooms in cream and tan/beige. The old parts have green silk wallpaper and a few antiques with dark wooden furniture and splashes of cream, helping to tie the parts of the house together.
I love this build! It's so gorgeous and unique, and it fits the Bjergsen family so well. It actually inspired me to play with them. I'd love to see you add more relationships and clubs to your save file! It would be so fun:)
This home is gorgeous! And for the clubs, personally I don’t mind if you completely switch them up and I’d love for some new clubs to be added! It might make me get back into playing with them again!
I'm actually going to download this house when I get home, I've just started the 100 baby challenge and this home is massive and gorgeous and perrrrfect for lots of kids, I'm going to take away the pool and make an outside kids area that's closed off with locked gates for when it gets too hectic haha, I usually make my own but I always download and slightly edit builds for challenges for what I need but I have a feeling I'm barely going to edit any of this I absolutely love it, it's BEAUTIFUL. I find that when women are making the builds I feel like they make them more personalised in the sense that you always make them more of a home and not just a beautiful build its functional.
Beautiful build!! I’ve been binging your videos for the week and love your building style. Have you done a video on what commands/mouse controls you use to clutter? I can’t figure out how you maneuver items on counters and shelves...
Goodness gracious, this is so beautiful and it's my second favourite build of yours, Simple Family Home being the number one. I'm glad that you're taking your time, your save file is going to be worth the wait.
I feel like I say this a lot, but this is my favorite build 😍 I would LOVE for my future house (in real life lol) to be like this. I’ve always loved the old but modern style. Ever since I was little. Idk why but I definitely still love it now 😍😍
I'm in awe!!! Your attention to detail is just amazing. Particularly loved how crafty you were with the table in the old living room. Was seriously stunned when you did that trick 😂 Beautiful build as always!!!!!! 😍
oh my gosh, like i was only a couple minutes into video and i literally thought wow i love this house, the structure is like nothing i’ve ever seen anyone do in the sims before and i LOVE the traditional style mixed with the modern advancements. Overall an AMAZING build !
One thing that I feel makes you stand out against other builders (apart from how gorgeous your builds are) is that you play test your builds and I for one really appreciate that so thank you so very much for that ❤
When you duplicated and merged that first coffe table!!! Omg that's beautiful! Great build as usual. It's also so much fun to see what you built for this family, they are one of my favourite families and I built a house for them sone time ago. But that house is so different from yours! I did a more country style with a lighthouse part (since the lot is called the Lighthouse).
YEAH!! Make some new clubs and change them up a little bit!! I think it would be cool to something a little different!! And I know you will do a great job in that!! This house is soooooooo beautiful and I wish I had you house building skills!
This is absolutely one of my favorite builds from you! I LOVE IT!! ❤❤❤ Also, I feel like the dining room is big because that's where the living room used to be before the expansion 😉 Dude!! Almost 70k already!!! 👏👏👏👏 So happy for you!!
Thank you!!! And that makes perfect since!! Of course that’s were the living room use to be! 😅👍🏻 I can’t believe 70k is so close!! Thanks for all the support! 💜💜💜💜💜
Not really, but closer at least :) It's near impossible to explain the pronunciation since Norweigan is so different soundwise to English (assuming Bjergsen is Norweigan).
Oh lol I actually thought it was Danish, and I imagined it would sound similar to the Dutch surname Bergen, so at least in Dutch it would sound like byehr-ksun.
@Megiddo Jones I thought it was Swedish too, but I pronounce it like how the Overwatch character Torbjorn is pronounced lol, so I say it like "Byern" or "Byergsen"
This house is absolutely stunning!! One of my favourite builds 💕 I love the fact that you put so much thought and backstories for your Sims for the save file
I’ve been binge watching your speed builds waiting for my Mac to come Edit: could you do a base game build since when I do get the sims I won’t have packs
I‘m in love with this gorgeous house 😍 But sadly I don‘t have acces to the gallery but as soon as I have this is the first house I will download because I felt in love in the first minutes 🥰
The Holo Simmer yesss me too I don’t have access to the gallery bc of parent controls if you have the same problem please can you tell me how to change that??
Your speedbuild videos are absolutely amazing and beautiful! This truly inspired me to make my houses bigger and better, however I on,y got the standard edition with no packs. Which one are you using??
i was watching this it's 2020 now so everything that she said has come i feel like nobody's talking about you but THIS LADY CAN SEE INTO THE FUTURE༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
I think a fun idea for this family is that this house was left to them after one of their grandparents passed away and now they’re slowly trying to renovate it to fit their own style. Love the exterior of this house though! So beautiful.
This makes me want to play with this family 😩👌🏻 Also would love to see what you would do with the clubs, I have personally never cared to joins the existing ones so I’m sure you could make better ones lol
I totally love this house. Thinking about where I’d put a toddler bed since I always play generational games. Maybe in one of the girls’ rooms. Anyway it’s one of my fav builds. - JudesSims
I was playing with another household in Evergreen Harbor when Clara Bjergsen randomly froze to death while operating one of the selling tables, which I found strange because I had never played with them before. My sim didn't knew her well enough to save her, so she collected the urn and brought it to the family. Clara and Bjorn had three daughters at that time, Sofia, Elsa and Lea, a toddler. It was at this moment I saw how ugly their house was, renovated it, built a shrine for Clara in the garden because they mourned her desperately. Sofia had to care for Lea and Elsa because Bjorn was too grief-stricken to do parenting right. He started drinking and doing one night stands where he got to know a young woman whose name was also Clara. They started to hook up like all the time while the kids basically raised each other with little moments in-between where New Clara, Ghost-Clara or just sometimes when he wasn't drinking, talking to a ghost or crying, Bjorn took care of them. Elsa hated New Clara, they were enemies and really didn't get along though. Then, some time later New Clara got pregnant, Bjorn invited her to move in after the spirit of his wife had faded and they eventually got married and now have four more kids of their own (two girls, two twin boys). Sofia is at college now a d has since moved out, Elsa will follow her soonand I think Lea has aged up to a teen now too. Idk I have a lot of fun with playing them 😬
I always saw Bjorn and Clara as having gotten married very young. Maybe they dated in high school/college and she became pregnant with Sofia so they got married. I think Clara would definitely be the one to try to make the marriage work for her kids and for appearance sake, but I don't see Bjorn being as dedicated to her. His aspiration is soulmate so maybe he's in love with another sim (Mila Munch?), but he's not willing to leave his family until maybe Elsa is older.
SimLicy I love this build everything you did in this home just makes me love it more! I like the more old and rustic sort of homey touch and you are one of the BEST sim builders (by far) I’ve ever watched! (Way better than me) Please notice this comment because you and your builds inspire me and your personality is amazing I just started watching you yesterday and instantly subbed!
this is gorgeous. the bathroom with the little stool next to the tub 👌👀💯👌👌👌i loooove the amount of clutter. it’s not too much but it adds a nice touch. also the flooring and the walls and just the overall color palette is very pinterest. super pretty
me, expressing my love for this build: *uses meme emojis in meme format* every other normal person who's probably reading this right now: hey can you stop
@@ordonfairy9058 please never stop. Memes are my only effective means of communication at this point in life so I need other people who have the same problem 😂😂
This has to be my favorite build of yours. Just the outside stunning. I have 5 of the 10 dollar packs I still don’t have yet and once u have all of them I’m going to def download this! :D
My alien family live in this house. I picked it specifically because it was a three bedroom, and they were only supposed to have two kids. They ended up having four, three girls and a boy. I turned the two rooms upstairs into one big room with three beds for the girls to share, and the basement where the laundry equipment is will be converted into a bedroom for the son once he becomes a child. Overall, this is a really nice house with plenty of room, inside and out. I was even able to fit a toddler pool in the back, and the pirate ship jungle gym and slide in the front.
