Its actually really impressive that this game can simulate a lifting body design

you should use this as kind of an emergency escape pod thing for the pilots of the sky carrier since it doesn't take up much space

While I really enjoy these builds and watching someone play this incredible game - don’t feel like you’re stuck making only flyout videos. I’d watch whatever you want to make but please just keep making content

For the ultra detailed plane, maybe you could make a su25, as it is relatively small and has a pretty simple cockpit. You could also do a f16 because of its small size

The Landing made me wonder if it is possible to give your aircraft a droop snoot (Like on the concord) in Flyout.

I think Northrop's N-156 family (F-5, T-38, F-20) is a highly overlooked design when it comes to body lift. It's pretty clear that body lift is a major contributor to the family's maneuverability and handling (along with LERX), despite the relatively small wings.

The idea of making a lifting body without a tonne of tweaking and XML editing + funkytrees coding sounds amazing. This game will be a huge step up from SimplePlanes

its impressive how well it simulates how the air behaves, the fact that you have to add some geometry to the bottom to disrupt the airflow and the fact that that is modeled is incredible

I suggest a variant of this with a more triangular planform, placing the inlets over the top of the lifting body. These changes might make it perform better in terms of lift per angle of incidence and landing speed.

I liked the part where you explained the concept behind the plane. You could do some videos focusing on explaining aircraft design using Flyout, especially if you are getting bored building as those builds would probably be rather simple

I think this would actually be something you can make a derivative scout design or something for the Sky Carrier with, the wingless design is perfect for the compact conditions you described!

As a highly detailed plane suggestion can I request that you bring to life a particular concept aircraft called the IML Addax? It was a proposed multirole combat aircraft designed in New Zealand in the early 80s. It's a very unique looking thing. There were 2 proposed variants; the Addax 1 which was an attack aircraft and the Addax S which was an ASF. The Addax S is is way crazier looking but I prefer the Addax 1 design.

Stealth, lifting bodys, neardy engine designing... daim I want this game

I had a plan, if you want to make a video trying to make the idea work, to make a Pod-Racer inspired, 2 beefy afterburning ramjets in front, cockpit in back style, multi-role attack aircraft. The engines would be held together with a mustang-style “rear” elevator in the front, and 2 canards, with the wings attached to the cockpit in the back a la Eurofighter

This + a stronger engine would be a good parasite fighter for your air carrier.

It actually looks pretty cool I reckon, being a lifting body, if you were to add larger wings to it akin to a normal aircraft it could be a potent fighterbomber/strike fighter platform

your idea for a hyperrealistic plane reminded me that one of my friends--but not really a friend just someone I know well who is good with blender--is making me a super detailed space shuttle-like thing in roblox, with a fully detailed airframe and heating tiles and even the little paint markings under the heat tiles that show where the tiles go this all started when I asked him for reentry scorching effects for post-reentry and animated flight controls and landing gear (the flight controls and landing gear weren't animated) said person is also working on the new rocket tester game making super detailed space stuff for a roblox game (such as shuttles and Falcon 9 and the Curiosity rover and it's aeroshell and jetpack, among others) also I mean space shuttle like as in; so basically you take the regular space shuttle, mix it with Pathfinder from For All Mankind, and give it canards

If memory serves correct, most of the test aircraft NASA did were basically towed gliders, right?

The overall idea and some parts of the design for this aircraft remind me of the Fairchild Republic AFTI, which did this concept but with thrust vectoring and intakes on the side. It's a great design, I recommend checking out some of the art for it!

I have an idea for another AU series that you could do alongside the one that’s already going. As most of us probably know, the only reason the ussr was able to develop guided missiles was because a sidewinder lodged itself into a MiG-17 and didn’t explode. Well what if that missile did explode or it wasn’t intact enough for the Russians to get anything useful out of it. I think it would be interesting to see what modern Russian fighters might have looked like if they only had guns and perhaps American planes armed with missiles designed to fight gun armed jets.

I had an idea about a method at which vtol may be achieved. What it instead of rotating a turbofan inside or outside of the aircraft, you instead rotated the wings to where thrust is being directed into the ground. This might work for something like a bomber.
