Throw some sea-foam or some atf in the fuel to try to clean up the rings on the piston. I would’ve tried to re-ring the piston, give it a light ball hone and see if that reduces the smoke. Those Kohler Magnum engines are far better than a predator. I love the K-series engines and the ones like that without points are nice because they’re not constant issues. I have 2 genuine Yanmar L70s on 2 of my tractors. I’ve been looking at those and because I can’t get any parts for it I’ll be sticking to the predator.
Man I've been looking for one of these tractors for a while for my channel but everyone wants a mint for them, keep it up. BTW you really got me wanting to reengine my current Snapper project I'm building, 11hp is nice but 20 would be better lol
@@LaidOffGarageI picked up my 80s 41" Snapper and a mid 70s 30" Snapper for $30 together, I'm fixing up the 41" right now on my channel but I haven't made a decision on the 70s one. Full nut and bolt restoration or something else, tough decision lol
I’m jealous ! I’ve had my eyes out for a workhorse for awhile now! To me they are unique and rare compared to the traditional Wheelhorse. Good luck with it!
A something tells me about that tractor you got I'm going to let you know nicely why is burning oil like that I'm going to let you know nicely and the motor is bad because it sounds good is the rings that could be stuck are rings are bad and it will burn oil like that so I would replace the rings and then get new gaskets and just replace the rings and clean up a cylinder
