You know, you two are just simply adorable. I'm new to your channel and have been making my way through your vlogs but I've just had to comment on this one. Amy, I'd have got the felt pens out too!! Yes, a bodjit and run job, but blooming effective. In times of needing a quick fix, that flooring does the job. Brilliant idea to put it down on ply too so it's removable at a later date. I can't tell you how much joy you bring to me while I'm watching you cruise the networks and explore your new surroundings. Hubs and I had a 55ft semi trad a few years ago and I loved the short time we had with her. Ahhhh memories. Can't wait to watch the remaining vlogs to see where you are now. Have a great Sunday... Hi Amy Wes & Fur babies everyone got to travel to Moms house. Happy Birthday to your Mom !! 🎉🎂 Love the trains!! We took the kids when they were younger from Cleveland to Boston on the Amtrack. I think the kitchen floor came out great. We put Grey plank flooring like this in the bathroom and the hallway outside of the bathroom. So easy to sweep or vacuum and then mop. Absolute class. I love how you, unlike many narrowboat channels, show, 'warts and all' of everyday boating life. Granted, not everyone would get the felt tip out but it's something I would do :-) because my level of DIY is embarrassing.

Hi, I laughed at the covering up of the flooring with a marker pen, I was in the same situation and looked in a drawer and found my wife's mascara pen it was perfect.

That was brilliant! Just my style of DIY, it looks fabulous, a huge improvement on the old carpet... Have to say, I loved the Harry Potter re-enactment at the end a bit too much, hilarious ;-) Keep up the good work, your Vlogs always make my day

Top video as always. Nice little break away is always good!!! A bodge job is always fun to see, however, Ames sawing skills did give me cause for concern. Never mind the computer cables, when she turns back to the camera sawing I was more worried about losing a thumb haha :) The Harry Potter outtakes had me in stitches!!!

Hi both, I'm still trying to catch up on the back-catalogue, but with regards to the flies, a very good and effective resolution is a 50-50 mix of Detail and Baby Oil (Or Olive Oil apparently) just rub into your exposed skin.

I think that the plywood and laminate, felt pen solution is brilliant! Thanks for taking us on the train trip, great fun. Definitely time to get a real horn. We've just this to watch and binge watched up to date, even away on motorhome trip we needed our fix, what comes across and makes your vlogs so good is the confidence you both show in front of the camera, I personally find this very difficult and do voice overs on some videos, all four of you are naturals, keep doing what you are doing, it's great following your journey, we love the canals.

I can’t complain about your diy……I’ve been known to staple up the curtains or drapes because I couldn’t hang a curtain rod because I’d made too many holes trying to find something solid to screw them into😵‍💫.
