I’m a Manchester United fan and one of our harder games back then was against Oldham, believe it or not. We only just got a replay in the cup semi final, beat them 3-2 at Old Trafford and 5-2 at Boundary park which was close until the closing stages. Very hard game.
This match couldn't have been more crucial to the relegation fight of the 1993/94 season if Oldham had lost their survival chances slim as they were would be borderline impossible while if Tottenham lost they would have to get a result at Loftus Road against QPR to them to stay up. But Tottenham for once weren't Spursy and they crossed the safety line in fine style. Oldham just ran out of steam their cup exploits had taken it out of them.
2:47 looking at the table, Bobby Gould doesn’t think Man City are safe on 44 points. For Man City to go down the four teams below them would all have to win their last game and to top it off Everton would have to win their last game 6-0 and Man City would have to lose their final game 6-0…I think they’re pretty safe Bobby 😂
