I have been looking for this video for my whole life and found it. No matter how long it was from the last time i watched it. I remember each song in each order. I loved oldies my whole life. Last time i probably watched it i was like 5 or 6. Im 14 and its a way harder time for me. This didn't make my day. This made my year or even more...
My son is 8 and he loves this music and sings along to most of these, every generation has had problems but for me music now just isn`t as infectious as back then.
There are no age barriers on music. Listen to what inspires you, what makes you happy. Life is too short too go with what everyone else is going with. I'm 16, whoopdi doo. I listen to every kind of music out there. There will always be a special place in my heart for oldies.
I literally watched this every morning when it came on @ like 2-3am. I was in like 8th grade to early High-school years,, something like that. I’m 23 now, it’s 2020
I have a massive doo wop collection and grew up listening to rock and roll, doo wop, and country and western....63 now and I still love the stuff, this is real music as it should be, lets revive it and let the good time roll,
I'm 18 years old and I attended a Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons concert this New Years Eve, and I had the most fun I've ever had there. I got a lot of smiles being one of the youngest people there haha but I hope to be part of the generation that helps preserve the oldies. Growing up I've always loved oldies, my mom use to watch me dance when i was about 4 whenever i head Wonderful world by Louis Armstrong, and ever since childhood I've always loved it. I listen to my record player more than an Ipod haha. When frankie came on stage i had tears rolling down my face, i have such a connection with this era of music. I hope that this music will help influence todays music alittle bit more, because I'm honestly not a huge fan of what they call music these days.
I envy you for getting to see Frankie Vallie it would be such an amazing experience! I'm 17 I also love oldies ever since I found them I fell in love with them although I always liked old music, way better than the garbage now a days. You won't be the only one preserving the oldies. I'm getting my little brother who's 8 to be exposed to great music from the 50's and 60's
Miguel Rojas Yes!! definitely get your younger sibling into the oldies. growing up on the classics is the best. Todays music lacks a lot of the innocence and genuine feelings in the words. Its all too repetitive and repulsive in my opinion lol. But, for my 20th birthday last month, i got to see Chubby checker and we DID THE TWIST TOGETHER!!! always check and see if they're touring in your area. Frankie, chubby, Jerry Lee, some of them still sing! :)
+sweetXsweet2009 Yes today's music can't even be compared to those decades. Happy late birthday btw!! Oh wow that is nice you got to see the king of the twist. I'll sure be checking out if they tour by where I live
This video has been a godsend to me. My late brother used to listen to this music round his place and although I knew some of the classics I could never recall the one-hit-wonders that he liked. Been tryin to make a compilation CD for my family and this has given me a nice reminder of the excellent music he used to partake in. Can't thank you enough for making this video :)
It's looks like new DVD releases review history books documentary about biography book club fun more than anything else in movie part in doing Ture life story ture life movie all day before
Bro, this is the first youtube video that I loved every song on here, I grew up in the 50's & 60's. every one of these songs has a particular memory, Thanks sir....
The problem with the 50s and early 60s was that there were millions of 45 rpm Lps all over the place. So there were so many artists that aren't even recognized. All of these artist on this video are considered highly mainstream for back in the day. Back then most people didn't have a clue who sang many of the songs, they just danced and listened to them.
I used to watch this video all the time. Since then I've been in love with oldies from the 50's and the early 60's. In a way I kind of owe it all to this video.
thanks to my mom and dad, I had the pleasure of growing up with these songs. not a lot of kids in my generation 90's and beyond had the opportunity to listen to this golden music. i love every single song here! thanks for uploading, now i'm being nostalgic about a time I was never in. lol.
You know if someone brought a song out like this today the kids of this generation wouldn't have a clue! They'd get called gay and nobody would like it. Tbh, I'd rather listen to these songs than rap!
Hmm where are you getting your information at? I'm 23 years old and I love these songs and I don't think there gay. Maybe SOME kids would say there gay but don't say all generation. And I also know a crappie ton of friends that like this type of music. BTW I'm mexican also.
I'm in my 20's and even though I enjoy listening to old school rap and different types of music, like metal or classical or oldies music, I still agree with you because I'm not into mainstream music and I don't focus on a particular type of music. I also think that most of today's "music" is crap.
I remember I was in my teens when this infomercial came on, and I can't believe it's been 10 years since. However, I grew up on this music and I still love this today. I'm only 23.
Looking at all the comments just shows me that no matter what age you are, GREAT music is always GREAT. This music was way before my time, but it's timeless. It sounds better to me today, than it did when I first discovered this music in the early 90's. It was about talent back then. It meant something. It was full of sould and meaning. All songs were stories, and so much fun. In 50 years nobody will make a big deal about today's junk music, but this music is still GREAT 50-55 years later
Let's not forget that most of the establishment went berserk over teens listening to black artists at this time, and based it on religion. Still, they couldn't hold back progress, change or music. That's just one benefit of music and art.
The least important thing is the old you are, but the great feeling you experience when you hear to that music, which makes you to remember old times, to dance or just to be happy.
❤👍 THIS WAS THE BEST COMPILATION. GREAT VIDEO. BEST DOCUMENTARY ON THE HEART OF ROCK'N'ROLL AND THE BLUES THAT I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. I LOVE HIS MUSIC CAN LISTEN TO HIM ALL DAY. GREETINGS FROM BULGARIA 🇧🇬
I used to watch this commercial in 2008 with my best friends. I remembered the exact title and searched it to find it. We used to search it up on here back in 08 as well. Great assortment of classics
For everyone saying they wish they lived in the mid-20th century, that's all well and good if your family didn't suffer racial or sectarian discrimination
I was born in 1950 into a family of music lovers..It has been a ride..a dance and song everyday since..I love it all, right up to the music now...It has kept me feeling like a teenager for all these years
I've been a drummer since 69, and this is by far my favorite music to play to this day. So much feeling and so fun to LISTEN TO, DANCE TO and of course play drums too. In fact I'm just organizing a brand new band with this very music. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thankyou so much for posting this, brought back so memories, the 50's and 60's were amazing decades, and while we're on the subject of age' i'm 67,, but now i'm into trance, have been for almost 20yrs, it started with Marcella Woods and "Beautiful, never go back with music, always go forward,,,,
I'm 14 and my dad is a car restorer thanks to him and his live for these ages I was introduced to this golden music at an early age. I am the only one at my school who listens to this daily. I just love this music.
My dad was a body man and mechanic and we had an antique when I was growing up. I was your age listening to all this too. Cherish these moments with your dad. I would give anything to be in the garage helping him fix a car listening to these songs.
they are so amazing songs! thanks so much! the sounds of them make me think that the best times of US was 50's and 60's! i just wish the world would sound like them again!
Thanks! You've made me take a trip back to my NYC through your video and the wonderful songs in it! It was an incredible journey and more so because I had the extraordinary chance to live it!
All the songs of the 60's are well known in France too,the time is going too quickly,I remember these happy days of joy and good time with these songs I can't forget now too
I was born in 82 and growing up in the 80's I heard my Mom always played oldies tapes with these songs. It's cool that most of these songs played in a lot of movies from the 80's and 90's. My mom listed to 10.50 chum when I was growing up. She's into these songs still but still has her tapes that you used to play day in day out when picking my brother and I up from school and to the babysitters in the 80's.
