Leo is an awesome musician, and his arrangements are usually pretty damn good. But his main superpower? The ability to put a smile on your face. Dude seems so likeable it's not fair.

I'm 60 years old now and been watching Leo Moracchioli for about 10 years now. If you want to see Leo at his BEST (for me and from my childhood) you have to react to "Paint it Black!"

I don't know if this has been mentioned before. Leo also makes tributes to artists that passed away, in those he doesn't include the self promotion at the end. Which might seem logical at first, but it's not something you can take for granted anymore. His cover of "Black hole sun" is an example of this. He also plays together with is wife sometimes. Not inherently special (by his standards) but fun to watch none the less. eg. his Zombie cover

Frog Leap is a rabbit hole, the likes of which are very rare on here. He's got 100s of songs now. Every Friday for years. Sultans of Swing, Tragedy, Beds Are Burning, Insane In The Brain, Dance Monkey, Like A Prayer, Mama.... I mean I could go on. He's got songs that are kinda cheeky funny ones, but most of the ones I just named could be radio bangers, they're so good.

I heard the original hello when it first dropped and thought it would make a killer metal song. I googled for a cover of it, and Leo popped up, been hooked since.

Leo has a cover of In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins that's absolutely amazing. It's done perfectly, I can't recommend that one enough. I thought it was better than Hello or Africa too.

Africa was how I found Leo a few years back. It's still my absolute favorite cover he's done. A few others come close, including Paint It Black, but nothing has managed to top Africa for me.

Since you did Hello and Africa already, my next suggestions would be Sultans of Swing (ft. Mary Spender) Dance Monkey (with Hannah and Rabea) Zombie (with his wife) Apparently Disney songs can be great for Metal covers too, so how about Let it go Into the Unknown For more sillyness (and the bunny) - Feed Good Inc. Or how about a children's song? - The Wheels On The Bus

As always, an entertaining reaction! Ok. I'll suggest something very safe. Heilung, krigsgaldr. It is a one of a kind band. Very metal without being actually metal. Unusual instruments. No electrics. It's a totally safe experience that I think you would totally love.

Nice one! Let's see.... Leo Covers to check out... Hmm. Well, there's one that's permanently stuck in my head... "Johnny B. Goode" - Originally by Chuck Berry. Love Type O Negative. Peter's voice was ridiculous. Lost him way too early. Wish I could have caught one of their concerts. Did catch a pre-concert interview with them on the radio until I drove out of range of the station on my way home from Philly once. Love you to Death is definitely one of my favorites and was the song that introduced me to Type O Negative. (The video was included as bonus material on the 2nd CD of a video game back in like '98 or so.) I forget which video had Peter playing the upright bass like an electric bass, but it's another great song as well. Black No. 1 is also another of my favorites with the bit of Addams Family styling.
