I owned two of these model GM station wagons. One was a’ 82 Olds Custom Cruiser diesel. The other was a ‘87 Buick Estate wagon. They were comfortable, roomy and just sweet to drive. I wish I had hung on to my Buick, she was just great.

Yes, Vatland was the Olds dealer for years in Vero Beach. I bought the '90 Custom Cruiser today, 1-12-13! Mine is from Montgomery, Ohio, and is a clone of the video car. I'll work on some Flickr pics of it, I got some Craigslist shots of it, haven't taken the official portraits yet. I have a daily driver, and took the plunge on my Cruiser. Just could not resist! I really hope you can keep yours!

Hi, Thank you. It never gets driven. I'm over in Europe most of the time and only take it out in summer for about three weeks if I can do a road trip. It was from Florida... Cheers.

Yes, I do. I have a 1992 Oldsmobile Toronado and a 1995 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight. Thank you for asking, I know the passenger power seat is available on the Custom Cruiser and so were cornering lamps. Yours is still nice too.

Long live the full size wagon! It's a travesty that they've been supplanted by the mini van. :(

@fennjones1 They did offer a different climate control I believe. The power passenger seat was an option. I have seen them on other Custom Cruisers. I have seen the cornering lamps too. Sadly, no one uses cornering lamps anymore. I know you have a lot of features on yours. I have a 1992 Oldsmobile Toronado and a 1995 Oldsmobile 98. I wish GM would being Oldsmobile back.

@OLDS98 Hello there. Thank you for your kind comments. Yes I 'd the styling too. I only wish it had a 403 engine, tempmatic a/c, power passenger seat, cornering lights and fender light monitors.... I guess you can't have everything! Have you any old cars too? Cheers, Fenn

Hello 64098,I'd be interested to see a web link/photos too please.I can't afford to buy another wagon and might have to sell mine in the next months if things don't improve.Vatland was a family owned dealer in Vero Beach,Florida. They sold their GM dealership and now own a Honda dealership. I still have a key fob supplied to the original owner from them and plan to visit Vero beach sometime if only to take the wagon 'home' and also to the Arlington plant when I plan another road trip.

Hi Hugh, The odometer in the video shows 49,273 miles The video was recorded in May of 2011. I've driven the wagon 314 miles since then so amended the video title to 49,587 miles to accurately record the wagon's current mileage. I also have the service records since new so can confirm that the mileage quoted is correct. Cheers.

@mrlizzard94 MInivans have no soul. I tried to convince myself to buy one when my wagon got totaled but luckily I came to my senses in time.

Do you know if any of the weatherstripping is available new? What about those drum clocks, did you just piece one together from the salvage yard, I know the gear teeth break. And lastly what did it cost to get the headliner redone, roughly $200?

Your odometer and your mileage claim don't seem to match. I would say its more like 119,273.7 miles. In 25 years that odometer has to have gone around at least once. Car looks and sound great though.
