If your objective is to hang it on the wall and you don't want the thickness on the bottom half of the TV, you have OLED TVs made for that where the electronics are on a separate box or sound bar.

S95C is the best for mounting flat because it's thin throughout, doesn't have the hump. With the separate outlet box.

@@ericpisch2732 Yes, but it's double the thickness of the S95C. And you'll have multiple wires coming out of the back of the TV to deal with. With the one connect box. You can easily mount it flush with the wall with no worries about mutiple wires. It's far more minimalist. And again.. half the thickness.

@@bL3dbL4khalf thickness is nothing. 0.47" vs 1". OLEDs are stupidly thin to boot. I've been wanting a slightly thicker oled ever since my brown pants moment of having to assembly the tv while it wiggled in the wind. Seriously, they are too thin.

That’s why I prefer the “Gallery” design, as there’s still like some casing around the screen. - I really don’t mind something of an angular case or frame, plus it adds some sturdiness. - I was already afraid to break the G3, let alone one with less of a backing.

Do the new LG's still do the screen saver art frame.i have yet to see anyone show that capability like the older C1 from around 2001 would show. Or when was the last year LG did that if they have stopped doing that.

They certainly came up with good marketing to use "QLED" . It's just like any other LCD TV with led backlight, and quantum dots. Sony came out with Quantum dots type thing in 2013 I think.

LG has kicked it out of the park with their G-Series Design. Its simply 3-4 steps ahead of any other brand right now. And i say that with an G2 on a Stand. But the even metal frame is just so sleek and elegant.

It's really curious how LCD screen for smartphones never reach 700 nits, but OLED does, but for TVs, LCD reaches much more brightness than the ones with OLED panels🤔

@@aaron4757 theses days*** I talk about regular/affordable OLED TVS, so far, man 🤔 More than this QD-OLED, Micro-LED is much, much more brighter than QD-OLED (nothing more than an OLED with Quantum Dots), but far beyond average consumers purchasing power🤷

I have a Samsung S95B and I think it’s too thin. It’s just silly. You even have to be super careful picking it up because you could snap it. I would prefer it to be twice as thick and stronger.

Exactly. The LG G3 has respectable OLED thickness but it's damn expensive. When I assembled my Oled, it was such a dumb process that videos have been put out how to properly support it while you assemble it

Cut the wall the shape of the screen, recess the tv into the hole. Then its flush. Or mount to studs, then build the wall around it. You will see no thickness.

whats this? thin crust pizza? who in the world asking for this thin tv? 1 to 2 inches thickness of tv is more than enough to be futuristic. they stay at one place inside the house they are not phones and tablets that needs to be thin and light. 😂😂😂
