Gretchen Menn is so good looking it can distract you from her music with is heavy and progressive and intelligent . I have read about her and she has excellent taste and influences . She was also a pilot . Really gifted talented person . Glad she is making her own music and has grown beyond cover bands .
You do have a point. I get distracted when watching her videos. So much so, that I forget to give it a Like, LOL. I've had this on a playlist for a couple years now, and just now cliked the Like....
Had the EXTREME pleasure of seeing Zepperella in St. Louis few days ago. AWESOME performance! It was pure pleasure meeting Gretchen Menn and Anna after the show. Didn't get to meet Clementine, but met Holly and my wife chated with her parents good part of the night.
Gretchen, you've got some serious musical chops! In addition to the work you have done with Zepparella, this just proves you can stand on your own two feet!! You've got it all beauty, brains, and some serious talent! Other musicians can learn A LOT from you!!! BRAVO! ~Jackie
We got ourselves a legend in the making, a genuine rocksong. Can hardly wait to see what you create for us next..............you are an amazing talent Grethen. ROCK&SOUL.....Cheers
Those lead and bass runs at about the 2:00 minute mark are just amazing. And it just gets better from then on. Look, it's two in the morning, I'm an unhappy insomniac looking for respite, and this is making me happy. Thank you.
[Expletive deleted], I just love this so much. Those hammer notes at about the three minute mark, and the central riff itself and variants ... magic. Thank god for music. It somehow makes the rest of existence worthwhile.
If Stu Hamm, who plays with Satriani, thought Gretchen was good enough to play toe to toe with, well that's enough for me. Super talented guitarist and looks great in this video.
This is excellent! Has a pronounced Steve Morse vibe to it, and that is a high compliment in my book. I like the solo trade off in the middle with Gretchen and Stu, and the clever little two-handed tapping bits she does throughout the song, especially near the end, are really neat. Plus, sue me, I have to say this...oh, dear god, she is gorgeous. Beauty and talent and songwriting ability wrapped into one flaming haired package? Yes, please! Keep up the great work!
Stu Hamm on bass , right? Awesome, where can I get the music-sheet or tabs?. I liked it a lot. Is not too saturated, still melodic and digestible. Great Work, Keep it up.
Yes, that's Stu Hamm! Thanks so much for the kind words. Really glad if you dig it. I don't have a transcription available, unfortunately. I have gotten some requests, so maybe I'll try to get that out there!
Her picking style is very reminiscent of Steve Morse, while the way she frets the notes reminds me of Eric Johnson. She's both skilled and intelligent.
Really cool when you hold the harmonic with slight vibrato then dub the blues lick, then the arpeggios over the the top.....well done. Chas from KILLCODE
@@gretchenmenn Yeah!!! \,,/ great players works hard. There're no shortcuts!!! I think gifted people like you are charged with a big load of will and resilience to spend hours studying music and achieving good performance!!! 🤪

I hate" Valentino Victory Lap", but this track is truly stunning ! Wow. Listening to it for 3 hours now. Very talented guitarist. Great licks everywhere ! Haha.
This time I have come here via Fender's 'TopTen Guitar Goddesses', but I have been here before, without prompting. Because this is just amazing, and stands or falls on its own. Now off to watch 'Scrap Metal'.
Her guitar playing is as beautiful as she is. She reminds me of Steve Morse , listening to her. And that's Stu Hamm on the bass 👍.....think that's him..lol 😇
