10 years later and just want to say this video is awesome for thise who are just learning how to cook. Very helpful video and the soup is delicious. Thank you kindly for not deleting this 🙏
I used to work there and made the soups and sauces daily for over 5 years. This recipe is mostly right on and the most accurate I've found on YT. The only difference I see between this and OG is the Olive Garden recipe calls for garlic puree, they use a chicken base to make a broth and after boiling the potatoes they say to use a potato masher to break up the potatoes before adding the sausage back to the pot.
So instead of adding in the fresh garlic with the onions you substitute it with garlic purée? And once the half moon potatoes have boiled in the broth you take a potato masher to them?
@@cb9018 Just to break the potatoes up you don't want to mash or pulverize them. Then you add the sausage, kale and cream. Yes, that's the "official" way according OG's recipe. If you ask me, fresh is probably going to be better with the right amount but the puree is easier so choose what works for you.
just tried this recipe with my daughter tonight. really simple, one-pot dish. Win Win! It was DELICIOUS! Tastes just like the origional. Thank you so much for posting this! This is my favorite soup in the world. Now I don't have to wait to go out & order it anymore.
Just tried this recipe with my mother this afternoon she had her first bowl and she can't stop saying how good it is thank you for posting this recipe I like to try the next one sometime soon great job
Looks like you hit the proverbial nail on the head with one of my all time favorite soups! I think I'm going to make this in my Instant Pot and see how it turns out. Thanks for the video!

to make cutting bacon easier..stick in the freezer for a couple minutes or just use cooking shears to snip it in pieces. Great recipe Im going to try soon
There are many zuppa Tuscana soup recipe on here, but I come to your video every time I make it because you recipe is easy, and it works every time. Also, your video gets straight to the point. Thank you so much!

Absolutely my favorite soup and I've always wanted to make it at home for my family, you've made the recipe so simple to follow.thanks can't wait to try it!!
Its been years since i first seen your video. I went looking for it and watched all these other ones but yours is so much better. Added to my favorites.❤
I followed your directions and this soup was off the chain. Very simple and to the point and I'm going to make this more often. It also goes along way. I fixed why my mom, dad, sister, and her kids went to my nephews track meet and this house smells like a professional restaurant. I fixed the garlic bread sticks as well. I guess it's good when u didn't even get to get a second bowl out of a huge pot because that means it's good. Glad I could satisfy somebody else's appetite besides mines.
Sept 11, 2020 - the first soup I have ever made in my life and it turned out excellent. Thank you for the recipe and your video. I did pretty much exactly as you did. I added a lot of kale because it compliments the soup so well. I loved the taste. Everything. I wish I could send you a picture because I am not a cook. Tbh, since COVID I have been cooking my own food at home. Mostly rice and ham. This time - I saw an Olive Garden commercial and I thought I want some of that Zuppa Toscana soup. Awesome! Thank you!
I made this today for my wife. Zuppa Toscana is her favorite thing on the menu at Olive Garden and she was of course not sure a novice chef such as myself could replicate the recipe. But she LOVED IT. The only thing I did differently was brown the sausage in a separate pan and started with the bacon and onions in the big pot which saved a little cook time. Other than that, follow this recipe and you'll have some perfect Zuppa. Also the third song... I kept singing "Sixth Avenue Heartache" along with it which made the cooking fun!
I've tried several Zuppa Toscana recipes and yours is the most flavorful and delicious! If you're looking for a good recipe for this soup, you can stop looking! This is it!
Just made this SO GOOD!! I didn’t add the sausage. I added parm cheese, and left the bacon out until the end so it stayed crispy and omg safe to safe Olive Garden will miss me🙌🏾😂
This is the only recipe I use is by Judyfoody for Zuppa Tuscana it comes out wonderful every time. I have been making it the way she makes it for years now.
Hey, Y'all... Helpful Hillbilly Hint: put the Bacon in the freezer for a bit, and then chop/dice it when it's Semi-Frozen...cuts cleaner without shreds.......
Definitely agree ! After the first time I tried to dice refrigerated bacon, I said "scr#w this"! From that point on, I always popped it into the freezer first for a bit. I do this with a lot of cuts of meat that need to be chopped or thinly sliced prior to cooking.
Hello, I love thus soup from olive garden and now I learn how ti make it with your video Judy. Thank you so much my husband loves this soup you made it simple and good.
