Oliver Tells Barry About The Death Of His Father And His Mother Barry & Oliver in Time Vault Part The Flash 3x8 #theflash #barryallen #arrow #arrowverse #oliverqueen #sad #cw
@@candyxcrazy876people always look at things rationally when they aren’t the ones experiencing it. Yeah, from a completely rational, non personal view, it’s Barry’s fault. But, it’s a choice that literally anyone who loves their parents would make. Rationality only goes so far as humans and emotions are inherently irrational
@@sldarwin5615 it’s even worse when it comes to the entire group because they’ve either brought people back from the dead with the Lazarus pits(arrow) or picked up a multi-dimensional counter part(flash), not to mention the times they have frequently altered history on a global scale(legends of tomorrow)
Oliver was the first friend Berry had that fully understood his motives for Flashpoint, and why he couldn't try to fix the timeliness again. He was Berry's truest friend
He also was a good mentor for Barry a few times throughout the show you can even catch him quoting Oliver like when he was training Jesse how to use her speed when she got it
oliver was the ultimate reality check for people , whenever he talked about something or a choice , he always said what he honestly thought and thats why barry was so relieved after oliver said everyone would do the exact same thing in his shoes.
It's been a long time since I watched this show, but I do remember being sympathetic but real annoyed with Cisco for hating Barry. And Oliver here proves a very valid point, to which I wish it was spun onto Cisco, like, "You miss your brother a lot, which means you must have really loved him. I bet you would have done anything to save him, right? Maybe even go back in time if you could...." and he could not deny that he was just like Barry
Especially given after the crossover (on the flash) with the philosophers stone he gets tricked for that very reason. Clarification: I love Cisco though.
Yea Cisco missed his brother a lot and would most likely go back in time to bring him back if he could, so it would make sense that he would hate the very person who killed his brother. Yea Barry did it to bring his mother back, but at the end of the day Barry still killed his brother. Tho I’m not saying it wasn’t annoying that he kept bringing it up
@@XrBlue I would have to disagree as Barry didn't outright kill Dante if you paid attention to the episode. Barry was trying to figure out what was going on and found out that a drunk driver killed Cisco's brother. Yes Barry creating flashpoint was the cause but as I keep telling people. It didn't matter if Barry saved Dante or not inevitably his brother would have died in a different way. For example, let's say Barry did save Dante and he didn't die from getting hit by a drunk driver. That would be averted but as Harrison Wells said even if something did prevent what happened something else would come along and cause something worse to happen. For example, the crossover that this comes from they assumed it was referring to the berry they were talking to yet in actuality it was referring to savitar. That's why in some instances in the arrowverse wonder about the person in question
The problem is you’re using logic against someone’s feelings. No amount of logic is going to make someone who’s that upset over their brothers death feel any different.
@@Nandoswitharando That's if they're an idiot. You should always be rational and I'll never understand how someone can lose someone then still be irrational for the very fact that it is irrational.
Really liked that Oliver added that anyone would have done the same. If Joe died, you can bet that Iris would have begged Wally or Barry to do something.
@@lilian6613Bro why on earth would you spoil you do realize some ppl are just discovering this show right so if they watch this clip and scroll down and found your comment they will get spoiled atleast write 'warning spoiler' :0
The thing about that is if Joe died, Barry would have gone back in time immediately. Joe is the man that took Barry in when he had nothing. Joe is basically Barry's father at this point. Barry loves Joe so much that he would risk everything to save him.
Something I will always appreciate about both shows is how well written Oliver and Barry’s relationship was written. Really felt like they were best friends and every time they were on screen together it made everything better
I always liked Oliver he wasn’t a hero he was what his city needed and I can respect him for that he went through a lot and channeled his pain and anger in to doing something good not a lot of people can do that and he always supported Barry even at the start when he was hesitant to show it but he did
This is why, although I don't always agree with Oliver, I still respect him because he was the only one who didn't turn on Barry when he brought his parents back because he knew that if given the chance, he'd do the same thing and so would anyone else.
Barry was the only person Oliver was truly honest with even when he didn’t have after he found out Oliver was the arrow but Barry and Oliver were the only ones to never judge the other decision and truly understood the others motives they were truly each other’s best friend it’s why we should got more episodes with them together
Reminds me of something my mother said. "A person can tell you that if they got powers they would be responsible or they could never take a human life, but you can't say that with 100% certainty all it takes is a single push or opportunity and such easy decisins become hard."
I don't understand is in season 1 everyone was ok with Barry changing the timeline to save his mom but he didn't so when both of his parents got murdered of course he went to change the timeline to have both of his parents alive again
The only one who had the guts and heart to admit to himself and everyone around him that he would happily create flashpoint like Barry did and wouldn't look back.
Oliver is such a Great Friend and Mentor!! He's the Reason I always say my favorite DC character is the Arrow😊 Also, I'd say Oliver suffered the most bc he was simply powerless to save sooo many of his loved ones in his life and he even had to watch Felicity become paralyzed😢
Barry because he lost mom and dad watched iris die and watch Hr die and watch green arrow die and even Ralph killer frost and had to live in a timeline where Joe was dead and he had to watch Nash and the speed force die for him and good guy Thawne and entire universe’s and Nora and almost Bart both his children
You haven’t watched arrow because Oliver suffered just as more. Lets put it like this Barry suffered more emotionally while Oliver suffered more mentally and physically.
Oliver lost his Mother father best friend(tommy) best friend(laurel) Sara even tho yes she came back but she died and he felt that still Thea his sister yes she came back she died anyway or very very close at least and he felt that shado girl he loved died which made his mom die so he feels like its his fault that both his parents died akio his good friend sarab his good friend tatsu his good friend died the russian lady on Lian yu in season 4 a woman he loved he had to kill he had to abandon his son to keep him safe and more but at last he lost himself.
Barry’s True Friend. I understood Ciscos anger but DUDE! You could’ve gotten Barry, Joe, Iris, Henry & everyone on Team Flash murked by telling Snart that Barry was The Flash.
pretty sure this is after flashpoint, cisco and everyone else is mad at barry for the damage done to the timeline even after he tried to undo flashpoint (the most relevant change probably being that cisco's brother is dead when he wasn't before barry made flashpoint). Ollie is sympathising to help barry understand that what happened doesn't make him a monster or a villain, he just made an understandable mistake that anyone would have made
It's after Flashpoint. Oliver is getting Barry to see that regardless of what Flashpoint caused, their current situation is not his fault and he needs to stop blaming himself.
Everyone else (other than Kara) were so dumb and judgmental. Cisco upset with Barry for learning from his mistake of changing the past. Legends were pretending like the never messed with the time line
Honestly savitar cuz he had consience and the team treated him like a double something they could trow away and when barry got through too him they backstab him
No he doesn't. He has never talked about his dad with Barry till this moment. Infact he has only revealed about how his dad actually died when it's absolutely necessary or he wants to drive a point home. Bruh people have literally issues with him for being so secretive. 😂
In my opinion, Barry suffered more. He lost everything. His mother, his father, his best friend (Oliver), Nash, HR, Harry, Joe (Once), he almost lost Iris, he lost Nora (The first one that appeared, not the second one), Ronnie, Frost, he's given up his speed on multiple occasions to protect either Central City, or the world, he risked his life by jumping into a worm hole at the end of season 2, and he went into the Speedforce to stop it from destroying the world. Also, he couldn't stop the multiverse from being destroyed, meaning that Jessie was also killed, and everyone else from all of the other worlds. So yea, I'd say Barry suffered more.
Everyone that blamed Barry for flashpoint were the same characters that told him to go save his parents in season 1 when Eobard offered him the opportunity 🤦🏻♂️
@@Marie-c8f bro Oliver was the victim of a terrible boat accident, he lost Sara then his father shot himself in the head so that he could live, He went 5 years without seeing his mother, his sister, his best friend and his fiancé, he was tortured, he lost Shadow, he saw Sara again but lost her again, his mentor (Slade) became evil and tried to kill him. His best friend (laurel's boyfriend ) is dead, Sara returned to Star city but she was murdered by her little sister Téa, Roy was forced to make people believe in his death so that Oliver wouldn't go to prison, in the following season he lost his best friend Laurel, his friend Quentin dies, his half sister dies and at the end of season 7 he is forced to abandon his family for the crisis, he sacrifices himself for the multiverse and will not be there to see his daughter grow up and his friends like René ,dinah, john etc
That is a reasonable point, and people do give Barry a lot of crap for the flashpoint paradox... But who wouldn't? Being honest with yourself, who wouldn't save a loved one if they had the chance?
Look as much as I love the flash here, one thing that annoyed me about the writers scripts is how every fucking time they would resort to “yeah but my dad was killed by thawne” and use it as an excuse to get away with whatever he wanted, even many years after the whole thing it became a constant excuse and I hated how repetitive it got
DC HQ: so we got this new hero we need an origin story. Parents died. Ok so the motivation wou- Dead parents. Ok great i think we can break for lunch but after we gotta decide how to retcon some out of date characters. His parents died more with more detail. I love it.
Season four I believe Oliver talks about his father committing suicide about six or seven times I would’ve liked it if we never knew that in season one and only learned about season four, but we never saw that scene season one I feel like ever more dramatic
"Who suffered more?" No question, its literally just 8 seasons of oliver suffering. Thats it. Thats the plot (albeit we all love to watch it for some reason poor guy). Barry had bad shit happen ~sometimes~
To say that Oliver suffered more is understandable, but to say Barry went through bad stuff sometimes is ridiculous, Mother murdered in his home when he was 11, Father was framed for it and given a life sentence, he learns that his mother was killed by his mentor and idol because he hated Barry so much, has to watch a friend shoot himself to save him, shortly followed by another friend sacrificing themself to save the city, got his dad out of prison only for him to be killed in front of Barry not too long after and that was just the first 2 seasons
This is the perfect example of why superpowers don't exist in reality. Humans tied with their emotions will always make decisions which work in their favour not others. Imagine if someone had superpower to go back in time. That person can make himself a billionaire or save the love of their life from dying. Playing the god💀
Honestly i wouldnt go back and change anything cause i always knew time travel was dangerous cause i seen other movies before the flash but the flash went deeper into it u go back and save say your mom or wife or whoever u may just end up wiping someone else out yes even going back to just talk with them is dangerous sure looking from afar wishing to see and talk to them one more time but i wouldnt cause u are just torturing yourself and living in the past but really thats not living
Honestly for all the good flash does and how good he treats his villains, he is also a selfish person and is almost always the cause of time issues for DC, Barry is always shown to be to weak to ignore the temptations to mess with the timeline, he's like a meth head but with time travel
The reason why people blame Berry for his actions is because we all are well studied in media. How many movies, books, and scientific theories warn about playing with time? You could hurt your loved ones 10x more. You could ruin or kill thousands of lives. The risk is not worth the reward. So no, I wouldn't do the same thing. That thought that i have the power but can't, would weigh on me and break me over time, but that is 1000x better than the alternative.
@danielhaire6677 You're right. However, it is our experiences, academia, and observations of the world under a moral compass that create our decision-making. I think most people would be tempted to try it but have enough life experience and knowledge to say no
id say oli just cuz of the fact he was on the island for 5 years. barry lost alot of people but so did oli. barry lost more people but oli was tortured for pretty much 5 years straight
Cisco is the biggest hypocrite no cap. I mean he told Barry was the flash to captain cold who could have came after Joe, Iris or Henry. Barry still forgave him. Anyone in Barry’s shoes would have done the exact same thing. Barry has given up so much for the city and the world and one time he wants something for himself his the bad guy.🤦🏽
Cisco's problem is that even with his brains and his powers, he is an immature child who sees everything like a comic book story or TV show where good always wins by the rules.
I hate everyone is kissing up to Oliver and Barry your fucking choices fucking effected ppl , negatively why wouldn’t ppl be upset also maybe don’t be a superhero if your going to not care at all on how your choices affect others
Olive is right who won’t time travel to save their parents fate? And is silly his friends/team is mad at about for so long, I be piss and need some space for how long is so call best friend was mad at him.
Maybe if you wouldnt have done your sister in law in a yatch, non of this would have happened. Barry was innocent for the death of his mother, Oliver wasnt
OLIVER SUFFERED MORE BC HE LOSTED HIS MOM, TOMMY, LAUREL, HIS FATHER, SHADO, HE EVEN LOST SLADE AT A POINT IN TIME BC OF SHADO’S DEATH DROVE A WEDGE BETWEEN THERE BROTHERHOOD AND BC THE MIRAKIRU DROVE SLADE’S MIND TO MADNESS AND PLUS ALL THE PAIN AND ANGER THAT OLIVER HAD ON THE INSIDE 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔😈🥶😈🩸📌🦍🩸📌👑🧠🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥♟️🩸📌
