my nan was eighty years old when she saw an old video of Olivia Newton John singing her old songs and she really liked her! it was odd for a seven year old to understand that time but now I like her too.
Wonderful version. Olivia should do more soulful songs like this. I was lucky enough to see her in Phoenix a few years back and she put on an amazing concert. Super talent.
This is beautiful song for her, I would like to have heard her sing this during her heydey late 70s/80s. This performance - it's just that toward the ending there is a bit too much orchestration and woo-hooing for her delicately beautiful voice. But anyway, my goodness, she looks smashing!
Olivia is great, but this is not a good song for her. Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield, and Linda Ronstadt all did wonderful jobs on this Burt Bacharach hit.
I think they all pulled different things from the song. I think ON-J's plaintive version has the emotion that some of the powerhouse vocals miss. Love all the versions... Hers and Linda Ronstadt's are my favorites
I have not heard a bad rendition of the Dionne Warwick classic. Olivia (RIP) does a respectable jib here but othe then Dionne, country singer Wynonna Judd is the only other voice who does this song justice 💯
