I was around 12 when this album came out, I'm glad seeing the new popstars like Billie, Olivia, and Willow loving Avril, Green Day, and Paramore (and other artists that I was really into back then)! I hope the style of pop rock makes a huge comeback, I've missed it.
I was about 7 when it came out. When I was in secondary school rock and pop punk wasn't massively popular with the majority, there were small groups who liked it. I wasn't a massive paramore fan but loved Busted, mcfly and was a bug fan of the offspring and bad religion because of crazy taxi on the Dreamcast.
the fact that she was moving a lot while performing this is amazing to me cause her vocals are so perfect in this, and im pretty sure its a pretty hard song to sing
@@jocalderone113 she also goes in this like jumpy move thing which sometimes makes it hard to keep your voice held perfectly, and idk when she sang complicated like how many songs in but im sure she sang a few songs before this. pretty sure she opened with brutal and jealousy, jealousy. after singing a few belty songs like most of her songs her voice is probably quite tired as well
It actually is hard AF, the verses kinda bounce between lower and higher notes like a bitch. I tried to cover it last year, then I changed my mind lol But also, I don't think Olivia was perfect singing it, so that's okay. Not even young Avril was perfect singing it lol
Remenber when Avril on her very first tour used to sing covers from Alannis Morrisete,Blink 182 and Green day. And now 20 years later Olivia sings Avril 's song for her first tour...its amazing.
yesss she need to have more songs like good for u and brutal, it fits her so well and also good for u was a huge pop rock hit last year because the genre is coming back step by step with her, willow, MGK, avril, miley and soon paramore will come back too :)
@@goldflo91 you don't have to tell me that. It's literally my fave avril song. I'm confused that others thought it was a new Olivia song when there's people in the crowd who already knew the lyrics lol
@@goldflo91 you're misunderstanding what I'm saying 😑 I'm saying it's funny that people didn't know Complicated and they still thought it was a new song DESPITE other people singing it in the crowd
@@Charlotte-cu7sn also being accused of plagiarism for a basic chird progression and having to give royalties for songs SHE wrote herself cause she wanted to avoid court (she would've easily won btw)
@@hillarywin y’all heard the phrase white passing and ran with it didn’t you? It’s literally so obvious she is half filipino. People have often diminished that, just like you
2:50 I love that she interacted with the crowd. That’s how you know that an artist has a huge heart, and that fame hasn’t gone to their heads. Olivia shows that she loves her fans. She is really sweet ❤
that’s why I instantly went to the little balcony that was there and saw her so well. I had the best time but it was a lot of people and I paid a lot too so I wasn’t gonna settle with GA 🙈
The entire time I was watching this I was like, something has to be up with the stage height because there's no way the middle and end of the performance should be so out of eyeline... walking through the crowd and stuff is great but only when you've got the monitors to back it up OR an elevated stage, otherwise half of the people cant see :/
The "kids today" are like 12 and younger lol. She was born a little after this song came out, shes a 2000s kid. Of course she'd know this song! So did the other mid-late 90s and early 2000s babies in the crowd.
loved her performance ! also i know people want to keep memories of this moment but when she is in the crowd she is surrounded by phones and it kinda makes me sad :(
OMG! I used to listen to this song using my Ipod everytime I had my tutor classes after school. Did this in 2010, its so nostalgic to hear this song again. especially from olivia singing it :,)
