This interview will hold you down for the length of it I bet. Oloye Lekan Alabi is a well grounded and natural historian, very articulate, expressive and always an interviewer's delight. Enjoy.
If this man is interviewed 50times, I will watch him 100 times. His impeccable knowledge of history is out of this world… I pray God give him long life and prosperity…
There were more mysteries with Baba Awolowo. He was too brilliant, a Sage, very disciplined beyond human level. He was a colossus. How I wished I could see him to interview him personally.
I will be eighty old next year, all what he said was the truth,I credit his memory. He went straight to the point,Agbaletu one of your best,Denver,Colorado,USA
I can not stop listening to this man, empirical, factual and sensible. Unlike the other man who goes about bragging about terrestrial powers that are not provable. Thank you agbaletu
If Awolowo has just stayed and used his knowledge because I see that God gave him spiritual economic knowledge for the Yoruba’s they will have been coming to beg us now
My High Chief, wow you are still very brilliant, you remembered our dear school P.O Box number with so much ease,we were in the same room at Afro and you were very brilliant and still very cerebral.l wish you well my great aburo.
It is true he needs to redownload all this interview it another platform that is save for future because RU-vid is controlled by the West. They can bring the video down
What a man! A treasure trove of knowledge. I pray Baba writes some books for posterity. I love this man so much not just for his knowledge but also for his eloquence and ability to narrate the facts. Thank you sir, God bless you and all that is yours. Im constantly watching and rewatching his interviews.
Hmmm, this is deep, Baba, Emi yin a Gun ninu Alafia ati ifokanbale ọrọ sir. You are indeed a great historian and a rare legend sir. May you live long sir.
This is impressive and educative. I wish we were taught all this history in school. At 46 years, I will have to admit that I drove my hat to Agbaletu for this awesome interview. This is a masterpiece.
This interview is explosive and sad. My take is that with our leaders knowing this, including Chief Lekan Alabi, how come they are thinking of a restructuring option when then all knew that there was a conspiracy that truncated the one that projected the Western Region to the First in All in Africa? If the Western region under Awolowo had been an independent Sovereign Yoruba nation, can we all imagine where Yoruba nation would be today in Africa and on the global stage. This is the reason Yoruba needs to get out of Nigeria at all costs. Any arrangement that will still keep us in the union Nigeria is a great risk to the future of our children unborn.
Nobody can say this better than you have said.Any Yoruba or foreigner that stands against the Yoruba Nation self determination and full sovereignty process is against the Yoruba foundational spirituality led by Oduduwa under the authority of Olodumare and will continue to fail.. nothing can stop the emergence of the sovereign Yoruba Nation
Nigerians must fight for the return of History to our schools. The young ones always open their mouths wide while telling them the History of Nigeria, things they are supposed to have known.
Baba wa Oloye Lekan Alabi. Emin yin a gun fun wa pelu awon otito oro ti a ngbo yi. Omo Alade niwa nile Yoruba. Awon Oyinbo Gesi lo da wa pada sehin. Sugbon Olorun pelu awon Alale Yoruba yio gba eto wa pada fun wa.nile Yoruba. Amin
I am not surprised. Oloye Lekan Alabi is a gifted historian and a purposeful yoruba patriot. We pray we will all live long to witness the birth of the long awaited Yoruba Nation, aaamiiin.
I Know this Daddy very well!!! Akogun Lakan Alabi, Sir! You are forever crisp, knowledgeable, sound and true. His thoughts crossed my mind just few days ago after many years, and what do you know, I accidentally got this feed on RU-vid. God is great!
This is one if the best if your interview. This chief is so much current and he is one of the chief in Yoruba land I love what he said and is much more AUTHENTIC he knows what he talking about. I LOVE HIM very much intelligent with what he said, and what I heard before this interview he is a man I adore as a Yoruba. Am over 70 years I can tell you for free, he is saying nothing but the TRUTH. Am a Yoruba man I live this my Chief. He is Original Yoruba to the cure. He has a plain mind to the Yorubas. Thank you for bringing this man on board of your program. Adeyanju, continue the good work, trust me YOUR BEST IS YET TO COME.
The funiest thing is the issue of greediness and personal glory is still persistent till today! As brilliant as Awo and Akintola were, they allowed their personal ambtions to override majority's interests, this baba Lekan is also in this league of people that enjoy keeping d status quo for their own benefits and glory! Ask me why this man will still not support d fights for YORUBA SOVEREIGN NATION but will rather support Tinubu? He was even stylishly condemning Prof. AKINTOYE and Igboho who were more vocal just bcs d agitation is not emanating from their own click of "Yoruba elders and leaders"! These people are all d same when it comes to selfishness! Itan ko lama je, lets fight for our independence!!! #breakonenigeriatosavelives #Yorubanationnogoingback
Sincerely ! Please 🙏 Agbaletu how I wish you still interview Akogun Lekan again is a different creature entirely. May God give him long good healthy life to live and you too Adeyanju
This is a masterpiece 💯 Mr Délé! Thank you very much for this mind-blowing interview (Historical Ride). Almighty God will increase you in Knowledge and wisdom. Aameen!
Top of academic and raw native intelligence combined with flagrant arrogant display of Ibadan swagger. Great interview. Amazing and committed life of service to Yoruba race and mankind. Loftiest respect
Thank you for this, Agabaletu. Thank you for your style of interview, for not interrupting your guests. Thank you for Oloye Lekan Alabi God bless you, Baba. It is very informative and profoundly educative . Agba yin ma dale. I will be looking out for the next interview with Oloye Lekan Alabi.
Baba's interview is a special one for me anyday anytime. His interviews are archival materials. Baba should please do us and our generations the honour of writing books on all these historical and contemporary issues.
Baba mi tooto, oloye Lekan Alabi is an encyclopedia personified, he knows quite a lot about virtually all subjects one can talk of. Politics, economy, sports, just name it. I still very much treasure his book, " Thoughts and Actions" he autographed & gave to me @ the Ajorosun Club on my birthday on 12th February, 2016. Mo dupe sir, a o ma ri yin ba sir.
Many thanks Dele for your efforts in getting Yoruba stories and the need for reconciliation among the Yorubas. I want to extend my gratitude to Chief Lakan Alabi for this wonderful interview. Agba yin a dale sir. Yorubas, home and abroad, please let us close ranks. We are a great nation. Cheers.
I'm in the mid 50's but hate reading history, i can tell you that this interview has given me the education i couldn't had due to my preference for sciences. Thank you for this great program. I will share it with my Son and friends.
My Agbaletu, you are special; so also is Chief Lekan Alabi. Thank God for your life and that of the NOBLE and decent-speeched Chief too. Dele Agbaletu, please note that the beauty of a Performing Artist or a Football Player is to have spectators watching him or her gluely. By implication, I mean to say THAT AS YOU ARE APPRECIATING YOUR GUEST AT THE CLOSE OF THE INTERVIEW SESSION, YOU NEED TO ALSO SPECIALLY APPRECIATE THE VIEWER FOR USING HIS PRECIOUS TIME, DATA AND ANALYTICAL SENCE TO FOLLOW YOUR RICH PRESENTATION. YOURS IS ALWAYS A GOOD WORK IN ANY OF THE DIVERSIFIED PRODUCTION. KEEP SHINING. IT'S YOUR TIME. GOD WILL BE WITH YOU AND YOU ALSO, PLEASE BE CLOSER TO GOD YOUR CREATOR AND THE GIVER OF LIFE, FAME AND ALL EXCELLENCE.
Wow! High chief Lekan Alabi is a genius, look at how he remembers every details of names, times, dates, figures, people and events vividly. Agbaletu is smoking hot and trending these dates. So much information and lessons to learn from the past. 👍
I agree with all the comments. This is one of the most profound individuals interviewed and one of Dele’s best interviews. Well done Bro. Keep up the good work. Kola from UK.
Wow! This is indeed a very good and educative interview. Sir, may Almighty Allah continue to replenish your intellectual knowledge, long life and abundant blessings. 🙏 more power to your elbow Mr Dele Adeyanju. Agbaletu. 🙏
Hi, Mr Dele, thank you for your good work, please encourage Daddy to put to writing this peculiar history of our nation into books so that the new generation can get familiar with their history, daddy was just reminding me of secondary school days when i was studying Government as subject, we did {CONSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA}…
Baba you saying the truth, because I witnessed the war, from 1967 to 1970. Mr primary school teacher was among the soldiers that delivered ore from biafraud soldiers.
DELE ! This is the best interview and discussion with MAYE of Ibadan , Baba LEKAN Alabi . Please I beg of you , you will need to do this interview more than 6times because baba has a lot of information that will help the ile Oodua and the solution to many complex problems. May God prolonged his life for us . I have met him in London last year on YORUBA DAY IN OCTOBER as AKEWI but what I heard of him now is an indication to solution to Yoruba people’s Problems. THANK YOU MY BROTHER, MAY GOD BLESS THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS Sir Michael FALOLA Afewiwaasu 🙏🏽
This is highly educative. There are many misinformation regarding Baba Awolowo and Baba Akintola in particular. This is what all progressive Yorubas should listen to. Kudos to Agbaletu.
I am fascinated by the way baba recalls names, times, places, events and numbers! He must be a very intelligent man. I am equally wowed by his simple nature! God bless you sir!!
Many thanks for this interview and the Chief. Baba Awolowo said that his prefered man to succeeded him is Baba Timi law, Chief Rotimi Williams. Baba Awolowo said that it was the party leaders that prevailed on him to choose his deputy Baba Akintola to succeeded him. The Premier of the Eastern region chased out by Baba Azikwe was Dr Eyo Ita. I am enjoying the conversation.
The mystery gun man is Prof. Wole Soyinka as he revealed in one of his books, "You must set out at dawn". Coincidentally, it's my book for March reading
I really and thoroughly enjoyed this interview. This man is one hell of a character. He us charming, seductive and very respectful. Likewise, he is factual and accurate to the best of his ability and humble enough to admit where he does not have the necessary facts. Very good interview. Kudos.
Oloye Lekan Alabi was quite 100% correct about Benjamin Adekunle the black scorpion of the 3rd. Marine corps. I know Benjamin when he was the port commander NPA Lagos.
Chief Alabi, I don't know your disciplin, you are very good at the narratives. You could be a historian. Bravo ! Everything you said was spot on. In relation to Regional Government its disadvantage is that it is half autonomous not full as that is what you guys might be holding about it . That was why Awo was fighting teeth and nails to get to the saddle but was repeatedly denied of access at the Polls. With full autonomy sky would be the limit for the Yoruba land and the robe of enslavement would dissipate for good.
Adupe lowo AgbaOye, Maye 'Lekan Alabi & Eyin ti o gbe ise Ibile dani, Omoluwabi 'Dele Adeyanju ati awon iko oni'rohin re. A ngbadun gbogbo yin jojo. E se pupo. Adupe ni igba kan si.
