Holy hell, how many different hearing protection devices to you need inside that thing?! Imagine the drivers in the 70s with an open helmet and no hearing protection whatsoever.. It’s just insanely loud…but sounds insanely good!
He's doing a great job of hauling that big car around that track. Those old Chargers are huge compared to the other cars out there. After 4 hours of that, you're tired.
Yeah that thing is basically a damn truck underneath when you compare it to modern cars! And you’re deaf afterwards, but at least the sound was worth it!
Got the history a little backwards the Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird were the first nascars to go 200mph without a draft and they dominated from 1969 to 1970 until they were banned. Then dodge entered this new body style you see here in 1971
@@rudfil never even went full throttle in this video…there is another of him on the Nurburgring and he opens it up finally to blow by the M1 on track because the M1 is annoying him…classic. You do understand it’s a classic race where nobody is trying to blow up their $40,000 engine right?
