As a staff member that worked the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 every time you hear this afterwards it does something to your heart

you know its gonna be good when they get out the loooonggggg trumpets

Such a small band! That was beautiful. Having been five feet from the bell of a straight trumpet (Navy Band many years ago) I can attest to what kind of volume those things can put out.

Superb performance of probably the greatest, most inspiring hero music ever written. Truly worthy of the gods on Mount Olympus. And how the mighty have fallen here in 2024. The absolute trash presented at the games in Paris is so sad.
