One of the cool things about living in Salt Lake: Winter Olympic facilities that are used for Team USA Trials. This year's trials were historic: men's and now WOMEN'S teams were determined. The trials took place on the 90m hill, with competitors only getting two jumps to determine who becomes US Olympians and who goes home. Over 5000 spectators meant that this was supposedly the most they've had at the facility since the 2002 Olympics themselves. It was a fantastic day.
I've always loved the Winter Olympics, with ski jumping captivating me from an early age. TV does no justice to what these people do; what a spectacle!
