This is the most underrated song from the movie, it summarised the 1st half of movie in a single song. This movie is evergreen, can watch it a hundred of times ❤️
the movie was adapted into a Stage play named ""Om Shanti Om- Reincarnation in Love" in Japan by a Takarazuka Troupe. My fav song fm the movie is "Main Agar Kahoon" which is basically a sincere rendering of 70s love song done in studio setting, similarly this song is basically a rendetion of pre 90s masala movie where in climax all whole plot or themes of the movie is explained to the sudience via song montage ex: Amar Akbar Anthony, Kranti etc.
Om shanti om was ahead of its time. It showcases the Indian film industry with some amazing comedy and melodrama. These days you don't get movies like this in bollywood. Nobody does melodrama like Indian film industry does. In west, cinema is more grounded and trying to be more realistic. Even if it's a superhero or mainstream action film, they always try to get the physics right.(Not if it's fast and furious franchise though 😁) In India, cinema is about emotion, madness, symbolism, entertainment. Our movies creates its own physics. 😂 But it's damn entertaining to see on big screen.
To be fair, things just look goofy af if they don't try and get the physics at least somewhat right. People would clown on it if they just did it all willy nilly
@@jayveeruzforce2322 Honestly, I think it's possible to both get the CGI and stunts right AND get the emotion and drama you need and want in a film. It's just that they don't *_want_* to.
Fun fact: this movie is a super favourite of both Catherine Zeta zones and Michael Douglas. In one interview they disclose that they watch this movie with their kid on every Christmas and also dance on the song Om Shanti Om.
whoever did the subtitles is a damn genius, thank god it wasn't word by word translation taken from google, they captured the vibe and essence of the song beautifully. much appreciation to you guys for understanding the backstory first and then reacting. the song tells the whole plot of the movie, it's PERFECT.
This plot would be such a good musical. I wish I wish Indian theatre does this. Indian theatre is beyond the movies, so I doubt they will “denigrate” their storyline to this. But I love it ..ps - theatre artists have some high headedness in India, they will take it to their ego if a movie plot is enacted.
There is a 1980 hindi cult classic called 'Karz' with Rishi kapoor based on rebirth theme. Believe this song setting was inspired by Karz theme song. Would be great if you can review that movie too.
Masala movies are a unique harmony of illogical things. As Kant said in " critique of pure reason" we are a limited creature, therefore incapable of pure reason, illogical things are important in life.
Om shanti Om is super hit film rather than the series Reincarnation of love because it conveys the word "love" More than the series Reincarnation of love from which Om shanti Om was inspired but still it was more hit than its original.
The first movie made on this plot was Karz starring Rishi Kapoor . And this song based on the song from the Karz movie called Ek haseena thi. I would highly request you to react to that too
My favorite song from this movie 1. Main agar kahoon 2. Jag soona soona laage 3. Dard e disco 4. Aankhon mein teri 5. Deewangi deewangi This song might be my least favorite
You guys might like Big B. Good example of an adaptation of source material being miles ahead. Very strong masala, but there's a panache to the whole thing. Immensely rewatchable.
All the songs are so good aankhon mein teri, main agar kahoon, jag soona soona, this one..deewangi deewangi is actually my least favourite..although,in all the recent movies we measly have 1 song worth listening to in an entire album of 5-6 songs..
a simple mistake of movie and some audience,om wasn't killed by mukesh. He was alive when the studio exploded. It's the accident that killed him.But the actor who drove the car is famous and a new father so didn't want to go to jail and seeing as om was already injured too much before the accident, they covered it up.
Just watched "Laapataa ladies". The movie is Simply Superb. The scene between Deepak & Phool in the farm just took it to the next level. He is so vulnerable in that scene and yet he goes ahead with it. The Overall narrative & storyline is so good. This movie is much much better than the big budget South Indian movies and their remakes which have no sense in them - just big loud music, over the top action & tons of over acting. No nuance at all. It is high time that audiences start valuing & supporting quality cinema over big budget loud movies with over the top acting.
Have you guys watched DEVDAS?? I think you haven't yet, I just realised that! If you haven't then please watch it and give a review.. we would love that!!! And if you've already watched and reviewd it, then please share me the link of the video cause I can't find it...
@@TheJimmyCage Ok. Then please watch it next. Even if you'll not like the movie, but the cinematography will surely be a beautiful visual treat like never before.. It's directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
@@TheJimmyCage It was nominated for BAFTA, and also screened at Cannes. Look up the pictures. Aishwariya Rai looks stunning. But unfortunately, the critics or the jury at Cannes couldn't digest the melodrama and they didn't like the film. Devdas (2002) was also India's entry for Oscars. Hey Ram (2000) and Paheli (2005) being the other two featuring SRK.
Lovely and first time ciewing your channel. You understand like not others who i always watch. Some important information or plot just flew over there head. They missed it. Try some Tamil and Malayalam Movies
This song has nothing original about it.The tone of the song is from Karz (1980)and the story is the same as Madhumati(1958).And more importantly this does not improve on the originals.Just has a bigger budget
