It is so good to see you back Jonathan and was only thinking last week that all was well with you. I completely agree with your thoughts on how high end audio is show to potential purchasers. Instead of insulated up to the teeth "perfect" listening rooms place these objects in places far more appropriate to how they would perform in real world environments. Here all of your audio equipment fits right in with the environment and with audiences who will appreciate the detail you go into in producing not only sound but also exquisitely beautiful objects to listen to that sound through! When you were talking about that I was thinking that the Imperia system would sound magnificent on the stage of the Musikverien here in Vienna. It is my favourite concert hall in the world. It has an intimate but at the same time immense sound. I have listened to full orchestras, string quartets and piano recitals there and the acoustic suits every instance, wonderful place, I am so lucky to live not far from it! I love the setup. As for the future of high end, it will remain but I think the "art" factor may become more important. Many systems sound good but none look so wonderful as yours. Rare and beautiful is a good place to be. Few get to have it.
