Omega 10049 is the choice of barbers in many parts of the world. They work very well. They're affordable and they last a very long time.

Great point on boar hair vs badger. I have a cheap boar brush which I use more than my expensive badger brush. I feel that boar gets better over time the more you use it.

I just got the Omega 10049 and was expecting a prickly brush but was surprised to find it quite soft. My first boar brush and I really like it. Great for lathering Mitchell’s Wool Fat. 👍

My Omega 10098 is my favorite brush of all my collection of badger, boar, synthetic and horse hair brushes. Omega's are always at a great price point and as Matt said, when they develop split ends they get even better. I think every beginning wet shaver should start off with an Omega Boar Brush. I just bought an Omega Boar Brush and I love it.

Literally just bought an Omega 11648 and some shave soap and bowl… i have been wanting to wet shave for the longest. Got some WCS vanilla chai and ariana & evans bois de vanille 🤓 Took a long time to settle on the brush i ended up with.

Love my Omega 10098 and Proraso Pro Boar Brushes! The Omega-S Synthetic is great too, it acts like a boar brush.

I've always used semogue. Does the Pro 48-49 have the ability to become as soft as a Semogue 2000??

Badger and boar are both great, it just depends on what your looking for.

Boar brushes are king for me. I have several high end badgers, give me a boar any day. I prefer Semogue.

Omega Pro 48 is a great brush. came with no smell, its lost maybe 10 hairs in the last 6 months. Almost to big is the only downside. still love it tho.

Omega 10048 is latest or omega 10098. Could you please let me know.

no brush is going to be able to dig out my ingrown hairs.. but if it can prevent them now that would be something.

I recently bought a boar shaving brush cost me almost $10 in India. I coudnt bought omega one as amazon was charging import duty on it which making it cost almost triple the price of any omega brush. I soaked it in soft water, rub it in towel did this process for almost two weeks. Tried superlathering, uber lathering, but this brush was just eating all the lather. I am very dissatisfied with this brush. It has split ends now alot. Still it will just eat all lather. What should I do with it, any suggestions are welcome.
