I like to imagine that Omega was asking Shadow this question to test his mood, than asked for however many pancakes he thought SHADOW needed to raise his mood
Oh boy don't we all... Right now, I'm just crossing my fingers for Sega to actually USE Rouge and Omega and to stop treating Shadow like he's an edgy jerk
One of my favorite things about the writing around Omega is that no one ever treats it like it's less than a person, even though it's literally a killer robot. (I literally hesitate to give it masculine or feminine pronouns, because it just doesn't seem to be on that level) It has enough sentience to want to fight Eggman, and that's enough for them to treat it like everyone else. I love that sort of writing in modern sci-fi, as we near a likely era where "how to treat the sentient robot" will actually come up in real life in the next few decades...
Omega is literally referred to with male pronouns, canonically. Plus, I don’t know who would consider a robot who butchers bots on the regular to be feminine in any way. Also, does his voice even sound slightly feminine? Because it doesn’t sound like it to me. And not to sound old fashioned, but aren’t robots often associated with boys, at least in the Sonic franchise? Eggman builds robots, Tails is a mechanic, Metal Sonic is given male pronouns despite being a machine himself. Plus nothing depicts Omega with feminine traits. Besides, you yourself say folks treat him like a person despite literally being a walking arsenal, so think of being referred to with male pronouns as a way of humanizing him, so to speak. Plus I don’t think even Omega cares, considering he believes destroying every Badnik and Eggman-affiliated machine to be his main goal. Oh, and almost nobody refers to him with female pronouns, in or out of universe, so unless he explicitly says, “I DESIRE TO BE REFERRED TO WITH FEMININE TERMS.”, I don’t want to hear it. Why am I so heated over this?
@@blainetate743 CNDEHFRDG Mood. Understandable but was a funny thing to read at the end. I personally refer to Omega as a He/They just bc I headcanon him that way but yeah. Omega is canonically a he/him. There a very little female badniks in the series but there's like. One or 2 I think-
Omega's priority is not killing Eggman robots. It's BEING SHADOW'S BODYGUARD. Sometimes this means killing Eggman's robots. Sometimes this means locking Shadow away in a volcano to keep him safe from being misused and then waiting 200 years for him to turn up. But it's all for Shadow.
Rouge: the middle sister who decides to have her brothers socialize more. Omega: The youngest brother, not really caring or understanding, but wants to try and make his sister happy. Shadow: the oldest brother who is done with both of them, finds this while thing meaningless and only came out of either being forced to or was blackmailed.
