In this video, I'm going over the Omegon Off-Axis guider for astrophotography. It a great option if you want to lose some weight on your setup or you are dealing with differential flexure.
If you have any questions let me know!

Your videos are the best. Thanks for everything you do. After watching your video I bought the Skywatcher Az-Gti and am connecting my Nikon z6 with a large 150 -600 mm tameron Lems. I want to add guiding and police alignment. I see how to use the ascom drivers and software over WiFi. What is the telescope you used ? I am also going to buy an ASIAIR unit. You are so azing how you think of all this. I will have a goto mount and pilot alignment and tracking all in a portable rog I can travel with. You are a genius

The Jellyfish! I watched the end of your video! Neat object isn't it? Can't wait to see the finished product!

Exactly, and yes it's an amazing object, I think that the Jellyfish will be one of my favorite images (not because the end product will be anything special) but the nebula is so beautiful to look at. 😊

You can use clipping filters for the cam as well mate
@TadejSkofic
@TadejSkofic 4 года назад
Yeah I know but they are quite a bit more expensive so that's the main issue 😆 But again you are right the clip-in filter would be the best solution in this case.

@@TadejSkofic yes they are but honestly I don't really like them I use the 2" filters

@@TadejSkofic I just like 2" filters because they like good and plus I can use a filter holder or filter wheel with the 2" filters .but I think the clipping filters are good for people that's going to using cam lens mate

Hi! I am moving to OAG too, trying to guide a C8 f/6.3 with an ASI120MC-S and the FOV is damn small! I am considerig to help with the 0,5x reducer but I am afraid that I won't reach the focus (I already cut the barrel to shorten the distance and I barely reach the focus now, I cannot afford any other forward move). Question: the 0,5x reducer will move the focal point forward or backwards? thanks mate and super videos!
@TadejSkofic
@TadejSkofic 4 года назад
Hey Fabio, the focal reducer sadly movers the focus forward, I also had to cut the 1,25' nosepiece for the ASI120 in half, so the 0.5 reducer is now only reducing about 0.7-8 and I only have 3mm of forward ''play'' left on the focuser.
@fabiopignata
@fabiopignata 4 года назад
@@TadejSkofic that is bad news, I already have 0mm left to focus, with some tricks and mods I managed to even the DSLR focus with the ASI and as you say the reducer will make it even worse... :-(

@@fabiopignata O men, well this is a bad situation you are in. 🙁 Did you try to ask people on Cloudy Nights forum about a solution? There are a lot of very technical people on this forum.

@@TadejSkofic well I guess that my OAG is an older model, it is the original design that was once used with eyepieces with reticle, not much to do about it unless trying some more agressive modification of the device. Thing is that I use the C8 with focal reducer and I need to also respect the backfocus distance of the DLSR so I cannot gain mm by attaching spacers on the DLSR end
