It doesn't matter what type of music you listen to....this song spans all types, all generations, all ages....it's a true masterpiece that is ageless.

Its ok to feel completely exhausted after listening to bohemian rhapsody for the first time. Dont forget to pick jaw up off the floor ,though.

The guitarist is Brian May, now Dr May, PhD in Astrophysics. He 'temporarily' stopped is studies to see if Queen would be successful....then completed them about 30 years later!. That's what I would call a 'gap' year.

Queen is a British rock group formed in 1971 consisting of: Freddie Mercury - Lead vocalist & piano John Deacon - Bass guitar Roger Taylor - Drummer & vocalist Dr. Brian May - Lead guitar & vocalist All the members of Queen were extremely talented musicians who not only performed but each member wrote song and each member had hit singles that they wrote. Freddie Mercury wrote Bohemian Rhapsody & is responsible for the arrangement.

Thank you for your great reaction to this amazing masterpiece of a song by Queen. Imagine how we felt in 1975 and 1976 when we heard it for the first time! No one had ever heard anything like it! The Queen rabbit hole is a different one, and to experience a beautiful song in their early days I would recommend "White Queen" live at the Rainbow or live at the Hammersmith Odeon! This was credited as the first REAL Music Video. Up to then, all music videos were made by whoever management had a contract with and done on the cheap. Old movie clips or cartoons were put in and sometimes even shots of the band. Queen went iutside their then management and had a Sports film crew shoot this video. They wanted a Quality video to use on Top of the Pops (British TV Music program) while they went on tour. There was many requests for the video to be played over and iver on that program! There had never been anything created like it. Other bands began to do more creative videos and a just few years later MTV was born!

Number one in UK Christmas 1975. The record company thought it would not sell as it was too long - remember that 45 singles were 4 minutes long. The video, which they have remastered, originally cost 500 pounds. Also, stereo sound was a new thing . . . I made my own stereo amplifier at that time. Sort of opera rock, but a unique song about Freddie killing his old self but at the same time making his mum cry. The silloette of the man is, perhaps the new man .

He was born with i think 4 additional insizers in his mouth.. his teeth stick out more which increases his vocal range. He was able to do opera. And he never in his life had piano lessons or vocal lessons.

All the voices singing are his voice dubbed together with reel to reel tape. He nearly broke the tape. The lyrics are about him being diagnosed with AIDS, uncurable at the time ;- what he eventually died of. Nobody at the time knew - maybe his band et al...
