To be honest i have been lucky that my biology maam was not at all awkward in teaching us all this .. I thank her the fullest that she was bold enough in teaching us this❤
In my opinion sex ed was a very small part of the movie. The movie tries to deliver a bigger message about keeping faith in the devine, even when everything in life seems to go wrong. Its about keeping faith and beliving in His plans and doing your best what ever the outcome may be.
BHRAMACHARAYA is one the most important part of sex education in the ancient India which is missing these days, as boys and girls are involving in casual sex so easily... Hookups are more common these days and mostly college students are extremely eager to do it to explore sex without knowing it's consequences... Just using a piece of plastic (condom) will not make you free form all the consequences of this... i was hoping the makers of OMG 2 would have highlighted such things rather normalizing masturbation. I hope people should focus getting knowledge from our ancient cultures than these kind of brainwashed/propaganda FILMS.
Rightly said, many people have not read scriptures well. The consequences of masturbation are very troubling, it is a relaxing experience for a while however the time is lost, one gets addicted to porn, concentration power is gone, respect goes.
For those who always confused "Dharma" with Religion.. Religion is centred around beliefs, not Dharma.. Dharma is, therefore, defined as धारयति इति धर्म: (Dhārayati iti dharmah)-that which upholds or sustains when imbibed is dharma. In the Mahābhārata, Krishna explains dharma as धारणाद्धर्ममित्याहुर्धर्मो धारयति प्रजाः (Dhāranāt dharma iti āhuh, dharmo dhārayati prajāh)-due to sustenance, it is called dharma; dharma sustains life. (Reference: Ami Ganatra 'Mahabharat')
Dharma is an overarching principal that creates balance and sustainance. Hinduism is based on Individual seeking rather than believing. Even God is seen as the way to reach the ultimate consciousness.
Lovely review... Alas! Everything and everybody must bear the brunt of the hypocrisy of our times... It's a sad reality and I just hope better sense prevails among people and they learn to appreciate REAL content...🙏
Super Hit film 💕 Society should learn and know for change. It's not a fictional character movie, it's a real life character everyone should know. A movie is not good if there are fights in the movie, there should also be some educational story in the movie.
I very much agree. India cannot be fully developed if we are always shunned when we talk about issues that actually deserve a dialogue. I totally loved the film and what it talked about.
I am a biology teacher, workin in central govt., takin classes of 9-12. I knw wat yur talkin abt....but in my classes ive made sure we have a healthy conversation abt sex, misconceptions....importance of sex edu. And even spread awareness about the whole lgbtq community, and sure for the beginning 1-2 minutes students do giggle it's natural but when the tonality and importance goes across and connects with students, then they become mentally ready to have a healthy discussion in open class.....i hope future teachers convey d same awareness in their own ways and be the change we are waiting for!
Absolutely love your perspective regarding movies and the genuine reviews. Your stand out way of explaining each fact and points to the people in the simplest way out possible and not to forget your call out to the points wherever director and the movie misleads us with wrong informations... Lots of love for your work..
I was sure that if treated well this film could turn out to be a well made product. It was imperative to successfully deliver with such a sensitive topic or else creators would have never been able to roll out similar social issues with great confidence. I am glad that people are appreciating such storytelling and will encourage more filmmakers to tell more stories from our society. I am glad the audience is warming upto such an important film in terms of its message and purpose and for once not choosing a commercial, over-the-top entertainer to bock down such an essential film.
It is so sad to watch that such a good movie which is telling us about the Topic of sex education is being Given Adult Certificate & a Film like Adipurush which has literally Insulted Our Ramayan is been approved by Censor Board without any issue🤬.
This is a good example of when people can´t handle the truth. A country where guys google things like "hot navel show" but still deny that masturbation exists. Pathetic. Make more movies like this and educate people 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙌🙌👏👏
Nobody these days search such things.... they rather watch porn using VPN. I think u still live in 2014 and btw if you want education go read books attend classes not to go hall to watch a film and learn

I love how people love to say the topic of sex and sex education is a "western" concept etc etc but in reality its the demonisation of sex and sex education that's actually a result of the British colonisation our country was quite open and liberal with sex and sex education before they came here, yes it wasn't some open explicitly spoken about topic but it wasn't as taboo or demonised as it is today, I mean, here in south India there are many ancient temples where there are carvings of sexual acts and they have been deified and not demonised Also i find it really funny these people are so outraged about this topic when our country is no 1 in p*orn consumption and is the highest populated country in the world they act like they've never masturbated or watched sexual content 🤦
Well if British invasion were responsible in sex being a taboo. Why is that in other colonies except South Asia it isn't considered a taboo. I mean America, Canada, south africa, the entire uk,Australia, Malaysia etc sex edu or taking about sexual things isn't taboo. Only in South Asia like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc it is considered a taboo out of all the British colonies probably.
@@HumanityNotDoomed Dumping it all on Islam is sort of dumb. Is it the worst? That's up to debate. Not to mention being conservative is nothing bad, unless some issue arrives. And the British, who were Christians are much more conservative than we are when it comes to sex. At least we believe that sex is not something bad, but it should be regulated. And we have no nun/monk system in our belief.
@@nafisanis1606 being conservative is bad, Conservatives hold the development of a nation in some way or the another, you can see that in the development of eastern Europe vs western Europe. Of course being woke liberal is also idiotic, the society becomes strangled by Conservatives and straight up a chaotic mess by the liberals..
@@HumanityNotDoomed anyone who says that " Islam is copied from Zorostrianism/Judaism" is dumb. Islam is not a new religion. It has been here since the dawn of humanity. It had many prophets in many societies. The Prophet(pbuh) was just the last one. All of the prophets' messages were same as they were from the same God. This is why there are similarities between other religions and Islam, which could explain its similarity to Zorostrianism. As for Judaism, Islam clearly says that it is continuation and correction of what Judaism was doing. We clearly state our relationship with Judaism and do not deny it. I would like to suggest you to read the Qur'an in a neutral way and talk to a scholar about your points.
@@HumanityNotDoomed Nun is pretty much like a monk. I might have to disagree with about being a monk. The desires we have are a part of ourselves and getting rid of all of them is too much. So we decide to take the middle path: not too much desire nor an absolute lack of desire.

This movie blew my mind. Yes Please to more films like this. It was high time we discuss openly about sex education. And the acting ke to kya hi kehne.. Bahot hi umdaa. Must watch movie.
Our teacher also did not teach us that chapter. He told us "ye to tum sab logo ne padh hi liya hoga". It left girls embarassed and boys smirky... This was a Kendriya Vidyalaya, FYI.
Watched OMG 2 today...There are many aspects to like about it starting with Pankaj Tripathi's performance. The screenplay in the first half was good, plus songs as well. But I do not agree with the climax. The movie tries to justify mastrubation. Mastrubation is healthy and a biological need as well, I agree with that and children need to be educated about it as well, but the movie never talks about side effects of excessive mastrubation or the benefits of semen retention. The message should have been mastrubation in puberty is natural but children need to be aware of the side effects as well. The movie ends up only justifying mastrubation, while ignoring it's disastrous effects on children's mind. Its a one sided misinformed narrative in my opinion.
I came here to see your review after watching the movie here in US. Eventually it will come to JioCinena and that will also be censored I suppose . I wanted to see the movie "as intended" rather than wait for OTT. The movie gets straight to the point in the very beginning and is very direct. The movie was clearly intended to show him as Shivji but fearing backlash, introduced one animated scene at CBFC behest and a cutaway with possibly changed audio near the end, where lips can be read. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that censor board passed Adipurush but asked for so many cuts here. The music and the portrayals are very good. Ever since the MCU started, it is the first time I sat through a non-MCU credit sequence, because Hansraj Raghuvanshi. Dekhne milega hi nahi masses ko asli movie shaayad... but I am glad I was able to witness it , hopefully with no cuts. It pushes a point but also argues for both sides of it in the court. I found the ending slightly melodramatic in that "Main bhi..." stuff which always follows an underdog's climactic speech (eg in Mean Girls) but the movie is so wonderful. Change will take time but koi shuruaat to kare. Back in college when I saw the American Pie movies, I found them funny, but as I grew I realised that regardless of the crass stuff... at core they were about people maturing and a father who has seen it all and done it all trying to educate his son, however awkwardly, into becoming a responsible male figure. Jim Levenstein's dad back then made me realise from that one trait of his ... ke jab meri khudki baari aaye, I have to use the lessons my father gave me and the attitude I learnt from this cinematic character into being a father my child shouldn't be afraid of, one who can help him discuss and understand anything. Seeing OMG2 reaffirms that belief and while my son is very young, I hope while I try to be a better father daily, when he grows he should not be worried with discussing anything considering "Papa kya sochenge. Papa bura maan jaayenge " . I do not have view of right and wrong, but like my father before me I have the experience to guide by my experience and make him understand that if that experience does not work, evolve your mind, evolve your understanding.

Sex education is good. But have you ever thought to what extent and where does it stop? Should we follow sexual liberation just like the west? Do you want your kids to take puberty blockers and suffer from gender dysmorphia. Sex education is a blanket term don’t support it blindly without caveats.
@@poushalinag7942 I might, but the alcohol references to Shivji and twisted interpretations of scriptures to justify sexual liberation is not something I want to support. It has too much superficial research about Dharma.
Well, Sex education is still better than learning from porn which is more destructive than not knowing rightly. It's fruitless to talk about the extent when we are still not even in nascent stage of teaching sex as a education.
@@dusvadhan what are you even on about? What nascent stage? Anyway I agree porn is bad but by sex education do you mean knowledge about your own organs and the process of reproduction? That should and is covered in Biology. That should be revised. No need of separate sex education. Think about the next step the liberal cabal will take sex education to.
Think about people who are sexually harassed as kids. They have so much trauma and confusion to deal with already, their relationships suffer because of shame and lack of understanding about boundaries. Men still talk about these things, they are frank, they can discuss topics like self pleasure meanwhile women shy away from these discussions usually. And then Indian parents wonder why their young daughters are being groomed - are you even talking to them? We learn from internet and as a woman, you are scared for life. You are scared of the violence and a lot of women don't prefer pornography for same reason. Who will teach people the respectful intimacy considering all the fantasies? We might not want to talk about this with parents because we are conditioned that way now - so are they - but we have to change.

Imo this movie should've been a better Jolly LLB movie than a oh my god movie... However I just loved this film !!! Cried as well as laughed throughout the film !❤❤❤❤❤
I was awaiting for this interview from a long time, since i heared the release of OMG2, though i was not aware the soul thought process or the idea behind the movie. First thing first the movie is actually beautiful and i loved watching it through out the runtime including all the performances. Although i am a little bit confused on a very minor thought, might be it's just in my head and it's not correct. Are porn and sex education are same, or nearlly equal. Why so much people brag about the fact that watching porn and having educated about sex are nearly looking same for now. I entirely think from deep in my mind that both ideas are different and have a very different level of perceptive. So my main concern is which is better, to make people forward to learn about sex education or to watch porn ? Awaiting for your view on this 😊
It was on a different level. There shouldn't have been any cuts in the movie, it restricted the director's vision. I hope we get to see the original when it comes to OTT platforms.
I don’t understand how can we not talk about sex and yet be one of the highest populated country. Parents hate word like sex or even watch any scene. The ignorance on this topic is really sad

No other country in the world needs sex education more than ours! We're already the most populated nation in the world. It saddens me to see how great our Hindu culture was. We never considered the word "sex" as taboo. It really baffles me what these narrow-minded people in the censor board have done ! PS- I don't know why some people in the comments are so angered by the above lines. Sex education is meant for "teenagers" and that means b/w the age group of 12-18 . And the reason why teens need it because it will help them to understand the changes that their bodies are going through in a better way . This will help them to understand the attraction towards opposite sex is harmonal and it's normal ! This will prevent teen pregnancies , STDs and will save a ton of youth by improving their reproductive health ! Adding to this they will be aware of sexual abuse ! Also I don't know why some people in the comments are making this a political issue !

Shan i love ur videos.. these days i am running out of content to watch .. Am a sucker of suspense and mystery thriller movies and series please make a video on it.. or just suggest some of it.
Just watched OMG-2 and I absolutely loved it. The concept and the message is wonderful and needs to be seen by everyone (especially teenagers) and parents with an open mind. I am a fervent devotee of Lord Shiva and Maa Shakti and l confirm that there is nothing insulting or misrepresenting of Lord Shiva at all in this movie. Instead the movie shows how Sanaatan Dharma is all encompassing / holistic in nature and we have acknowledged Dharma, Artha, Kaam and Moksha as the core pillars of life. I know that “Kaam” in Sanskrit means desire and not only sex. However sexual desires are also a part of the larger term “Desire”. In fact, the movie rightly shows how Bhaarat which never had any stigma / hang ups about “Sex” being an integral part of life. Our Tantra Shaastra also acknowledges the same. The movie DOES NOT glorify masturbation as some people are falsely claiming. Instead it shows that when a teenager achieves puberty (as the boy’s character is shown in the movie) it is natural for the person to get curious about sex due to hormonal changes in their body and they don’t know how to handle their situation, it is better to educate them with right knowledge about sex. Since they can’t speak about this with anyone in their family / elders / teachers and their friends are as ignorant as they are, they seek information from inappropriate sources. When they do not get the right knowledge from the right source, then they fall victim to incorrect knowledge and evil people who misuse them for their benefit. Also, It is equally true that many young children that undergo sexual abuse are usually victims of someone they know well (a close family member/relative). Hence, teaching children about good touch vs bad touch is very important for their own safety. In this context, it is preferred that teenagers learn about sex from their family / teachers at the right time rather than go to google, some roadside baba or some drug peddlers who sell spurious medicines and misguide them. Teenage is truly a vulnerable age and therefore being empathetic and compassionate towards teenagers and helping them resolve their mental/physical issues through right knowledge, acceptance is the right way to handle that phase. The scene where the movie shows how Lord Macaulay spoke about breaking our culture and education system is true because Victorian era of that time (and Abrahamic religions in general) view Sex as sin. However, our Dharma accepts it as an essential part of life and hence our Dharma also created Kaam Shaastra such as “Kaamasutra” and “Ananga Ranga”. Sex, Jo hamari zindagi ka mool aadhaar hai, Jo hamari astitva ka aadhaar hai, usko sahi soch-vichaar se, sahi maansikta se samjhna chaahiye aur sweekaar karna chaahiye (Sex is fundamental, the very core of our existence and it must be accepted and embraced wholeheartedly with the right understanding and right frame of mind). Only then, we can rise above it, transcend and evolve beyond it. I believe everyone must watch this movie with an open mind and understand it’s message. Om Namah Shivaaya 🙏🏻
