Great reaction as usual. In regards to ranks vs power lvl vs how strong someone truly is, let me put it this way. Kang was said to be a top B-rank and we were also told that stat wise, he and Jinwoo were very evenly matched. This also tells us that Jinwoo at this point is close to a top B-rank in power too. Between them, what ultimately decided the winner was their skills, which is something that can make a massive difference in practice and which is not measured in any way by rank. Without all the many broken skills that the system has given Jinwoo, he would have lost against Kang. During the Cerberus fight, Jinwoo was a low or mid B-rank, while doggy was a low A-rank. However, what allowed Jinwoo to more evenly fight Cerberus was his title, Wolf Assassin, which boosts his stats by 40% when fighting beast/animal type monsters (that, along all his other buffs, skills and items anyway). When Cerberus activated his Rage buff that doubled his stats, it more or less canceled the effects of Wolf Assassin, and then we proceeded to see what would actually happen if a B-rank fought an A-rank. Furthermore, Jinchul (the A-rank guy from the association) is said to be among the top A-rank hunters. Ranks and lvls aren't really comparable, because rank is more closely a reflection of someone's total stats (which the machine then reads as "how much magic power/mana they emit), but for simplicity's sake, let's say that if right now, Jinwoo is lvl 28, then Jinchul is around lvl 55, whereas the average A-rank hunter is around lvl 45 and a low A-rank would be around lvl 40.

The difference between ranks in this anime is actually very very large. I don't blame most of yall for thinking he's underestimating himself as it is not shown that much in the anime but jinwoo would get killed rather easily and quickly if he was to fight the A rank right now. he was actually struggling against the B rank but the system and his ability gave him the edge needed to beat him.
