I think the first "Fleur de Lis" that you showed in the roundup is in fact a centre lathe carrier used on a lathe for turning between centres. Love the video guys, keep up the excellent work
To all my lovely Peaky family sorry havent been able to watch at times but im catching up...Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year hope your finds will be as big as your hearts lots of love ❤️
@@mariecollinspeakydippers Hi Marie, I think mentioned before that I'm a target shooter . I've got two rifle rests ( little cushions filled with rice about 2 kg each in weight ) that I now no longer need and would work a treat hung from your tripod to make sure you don't loose another camera . Would you like them ? I could meet you at a local fish somewhere and hand them over . Dave
Big thanks to Blistering Barnacles Adventures for sharing out your channel or I would never have come to know about your live. I find you guys funny, educational and crafty. Awesome video Peaky Dippers! 👍❤ Oh yeah, Happy Holidays too! 🎄🥳
Hi Peaky Dippers. I’m a new follower, and would like to wish you a belated Merry Christmas. I’m off work for 11 days at Christmas, which isn’t really that enjoyable when spending Xmas and New Year alone. It’s a well needed mental break though. I found your channel a couple days before Xmas, and I’m engrossed. I’ve now watched several hours worth of your videos, and they’ve put a smile on my face countless times. I cackled when Marie hit Rusty’s nuts with her magnet. This channel’s content shows what families should be like, and I feel accepted into it. I’m 31 and have Asperger’s. I’m a huge locomotive enthusiast, so I love when you pull out track and train related metal. I consider myself a horse shoe collector, although I only have 2 little ones from a Connemara pony. What is Nicola’s accent? She’s one of a kind, and I’ve never heard her accent before. Did you get around to renewing your vows 20’s style? I’ve just seen the proposal in the video from a couple years ago. I’m from Washington, so close-ish to Rusty country. Merry Christmas to you all. Jodie xx
Lovely to hear and welcome to the channel. I really hope you continue to enjoy our content feel free to join in on our premiers at 8pm on Thursday where you can chat with us and fellow subscribers. They are all lovely people on the premier and you will be welcomed with open arms. Merry Christmas and a happy new year. 🤗
100% fire poker Glen, my auntie had the complete set, and the spaces in-between the brass were turned pieces of hardwood, and it stopped the conduction of heat up the poker when you were poking the fire, and it looked pretty too...
Merry Christmas Peaky family. Great video. Thank you, Marie, for the history of the old munitions factory, well done! Fabulous finds by all 👍 really love Thursday nights Peakys videos😊
You are very lucky living with so much history. here in New Zealand we only have history back to 1845 ish nothing before that nothing, oh well all the best for Christmas my new friends , actually I was born in Leicester untill 10 yrs then we emigrated to New Zealand in 1971
Happy Christmas to the peaky crew and the rest of the gang have a good one. I think your right about the metal thing I think it's a poker. More great finds especially the cannon ball with the street sign a very close second
I am a big fan of you're channel. Thanks for showing all the interesting finds and the history of it. It is a great pleasure to see you're adventures. Keep on going doing the good work.Happy Christmas and a healthy good new year. Lots of greetings from Holland.
A vintage shop door bell doesnt have an electrical system , it doesnt need one, its just a catch that pings the bell, that is a vintage electric house door bell that would have been wired to a push switch. 8:25 is die holder for square die nuts, most likley for threading pipe or chasing threads on big studs and bolts. 8:37 is a lathe dog, used for turning between centres. 15:00 projectile has a round base which links it to the Bofors gun , 30 mm has a solid base but 40 mm Bofors is base fused so has a fuse pocket ?
Thanks so much for the information 😊 I'll re check what I have, your absolutely correct with the lathe dog, I checked it out, can't believe I thought it was a fence topper lol

Poker was 50s-60s top of the range, cos my auntie was mad on polishing things, today they'd say she was O.C.D. but I just think she was very houseproud...
Hey Peakys been thinking about your wrecked camera. I've got 2 x 2lb very smart bags of rice I used for a rifle barrel rest when target shooting . I've just replaced them with a lighter alternative . However if you were to hang or attach your tripod to them I wouldn't ever blow over gain. Do you want them ?
Thanks so much for your concern dave, we have now aquired another one as we put the broken one though the insurance. We have also bought a stronger heavier tripod
When you’re working next to the river edge and it’s flowing fast, you should wear a life vest, seriously, what would you do if one of you fell in, the water flowing that fast you would never be able to help yourself,
